Now this is how you do a film list

Yeah I can’t find him talking about Birdman in any detail. It’s an openly proud auteur type of film. Also has a big anti super hero franchise message and very New York.He also seems to like Birdman. I remember being quite underwhelmed by that. Perhaps I need to give it a second viewing.
Not just one of his favourites but apparently a way of life
I think for Scorsese generation Kubrick is the top guy.
Just on a whole different levelAnd understandably so!
One of the all time greats
“I think Darren Aronovsky secretly hates horror” - John Carpenter
I once called Laura Dern "the lady from Jurassic Park" on here and it gave R.N7 a stroke. We've not seen him around here since then.

The discussion about politic comment (or non-comment) by actors and directors etc has been moved into its own thread.
Truly awful video game movies are back!
You should watch Return to Silent Hill, top notch cinematography, you'll love it

That moment was genuinely hilarious. It's the best fake beard I've ever seen!!
I did see your review which has me morbidly interested. Although from googling it seems the make up team wasn’t getting paid enough.

Truly awful video game movies are back!
.FIRST LOOK: Val Kilmer has been resurrected via AI to star in the new movie "As Deep as the Grave."Kilmer was cast in the movie in 2020, five years before his death. But he was too sick amid his throat cancer battle to ever make it to set.
Now an AI version of the actor is appearing in the film, with the full blessing of his daughter, Mercedes: "He always looked at emerging technologies with optimism as a tool to expand the possibilities of storytelling. This spirit is something that we are all honoring within this specific film, of which he was an integral part.”“He was the actor I wanted to play this role,” says writer-director Coerte Voorhees.
“It was very much designed around him. It drew on his Native American heritage and his ties to and love of the Southwest...His family kept saying how important they thought the movie was and that Val really wanted to be a part of this. He really thought it was important story that he wanted his name on. It was that support that gave me the confidence to say, okay let’s do this. Despite the fact some people might call it controversial, this is what Val wanted.”

Martin Scorsese has joined a generative AI startup as a partner and advisor. He adds that he has used AI during pre-production to help with storyboarding — “with this tool, I can share what I’m visualizing more clearly & efficiently to my creative team — the production designer, art designer and cinematographer.”
Harsh on Scorsese. Not cinema and now made by a pack of cnuts churning out AI slop.
