Mason Greenwood, Marseille Footballer | Read the thread rules in the OP before posting

That one lad at PSG that failed to make the team will have the piss taken out of him relentlessly by his 10 other team mates after this.

I'm sure they are very protective of their squeaky clean image, after all it's not like they are/were/have been embroiled in various match fixing, financial cheating and (alleged) doping scandals over the last two decades.
It's very different. Barça / Madrid fans don't feel they are guilty of any of the things you mentioned. They simply use them to attack each other.

So?

By taking a player, for free, from a weaker side in bundesliga without any compensation, objectively reduces competitiveness in bundesliga, a pyramid with Bayern sitting at the very top
Very true. Where would Bochum be, had Goretzka stayed and not joined Bayern. Probably a perennial CL contender. Anyways, I‘ll leave you to it and also won’t pollute this thread anymore that is about the POS Greenwood.

Their fans might feel like they aren't guilty. But Barcelona is hardly some paragon of virtue. They seem exactly like the sort of club who would sign racists and drunk drivers who've killed people. They probably would have no problem signing an attempted rapist either.

Barca won’t sign him for one simple reason, it would mean them having to spend big money

United just can't win regarding the Greenwood topic, eh? The media will always spin it.

• If we kept Greenwood: United is so immoral and rotten as a club!
• If we let Greenwood go and he tanks his career: United is such a graveyard for young players!
• If we let Greenwood go and he plays well: United is so stupid to to lose such a talent!

I don't think I've ever seen the media say anything negative about United letting Greenwood go. To that point, I've never really seen anyone outside of United fans really saying anything negative about United letting Greenwood go

Bitter pill to swallow knowing we had a clinical striker straight out of our academy and we had to let to go.

Liverpool are considering a move for former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood. The 24-year-old Englishman has excelled for Marseille in this campaign. (Fichajes - in Spanish), external

Imagine that. Can’t see Liverpool fans being onboard with that move
It's the scousers. What do you expect?

I can already picture them cheering extra loud if Greenwood scores against us just to shove it in our faces, or them coming up with a "Greenwood, welcome to England" sign when Greenwood arrives.

Who gives a shit if they do? We'd have the moral high ground in that scenario.

I know people like to adopt the rivalries and associated language, but this makes no sense. There's no way they'll welcome Greenwood, and 'Scousers' and 'Welcome to England' doesn't go together.

I’d say Liverpool are above that. I can see City doing it, not Liverpool.

Hard not to be underwhelmed after screaming in the tweet had me anticipating a 35 yard rocket after beating 3 players.

Who are "Fichajes"? A source worth taking seriously?
Nope, not at all. Most of the time their stories look made up, or at best, totally speculative. Garbage. One of the worst.

Shite, overrated, gowl.
Harsh. I get it… he’s getting criticism because he didn’t score against our rivals. If he had a game in his league and didn’t score nothing would get said. The guys class and his stats back it up.. can’t do it every game. Simple

Nah he’s shit in a shit league at a small club.

Liverpool doubled up on him. Heard he was levels better than the rest of their players.

Not really. He had a couple of decent efforts via his usual step over, cut inside and shoot but aside from a good ten minutes in the second half he didn't do much. He's probably their biggest threat but that's not really saying much.
