He has 9 open play assists across 129 Premier League games for Chelsea. 0 open play assists for us across 45 games.

Doesn't exactly scream 'make me the creative hub of your team'.

Works hard, goal sniffer. Complete inability to influence games otherwise. He's basically McTominay without the physicality, availability or aerial dominance.
Never had the data that most of his assists were from set pieces, not open play. Thanks.

That bald prick needs to ve investigated for this transfer. Shocking.

Yet there’s people on here who argue that those who don’t see his contribution to attack are unable to understand the nuance and subtlety to his game…

He represents everything wrong with the club. I have no words left to describe him. Our worst transfer probably in our history. I hope he is shown the door as soon as tomorrow and be told to find a new club. If this does not happen, then the club is finished.

Better today, wish he’d played a bit more like that on Wednesday, but I’d much prefer a more direct threat in that position. I never feel like he’s going to consistently get a goal or an assist, and yes I’m aware of the injuries and such.

Guess we’ll see how he is next season if he can stay injury free.

I cant believe we signed this guy for 60m. He had 1 year left on his contract...!

Let's say he had 3 years left would that make him a 100m+ player. Insane decision by a stupid club

He wouldn’t look out of place at one of the relegated teams, he just runs around and has very little else to offer. Can’t be part of a team looking to get back to the top 4.

I think Mount gets an unfair amount of stick considering many were against his signing in the first place, but these last several games he's played for us, he's played really really well. Not set the world alight of course but he's been good.

Really, really well? He was invisible in our crucial game of the season 4 days ago.

Yeah I’d just ignore a lot of the comments in relation to his last few games. I thought he looked good today and was involved throughout.

You know why you never feel that ,because he does not assist from open play. His majority of assists with Chelsea is from set pieces. His overall contribution in open play is at best average. The only thing he does good is running, and after the last two season filled with injuries, he has regressed in that aspect too.

Where is the white text?

He hasn’t been bad lately, except in the EL final where he was absolutely anonymous, but it’s the profile of the player that just doesn’t excite the fans when he gets on the ball and I never feel like he’s a dangerous player. He can be useful but you want more from an attacking player (apparently just one assist in his time here)

Managers obviously love him, but I’d rather see more players with the profile of Amad or Bruno in that kind of role.

As much as I wanted Mctommers gone, he's still twice the player Mount will ever be.
Stop posting bulshit. McTominay was not good enough and that's why he was trasnfered out. Move on. Mount today was okay, and we convincingly won. Nothing to post about. Why being stupidly negative, get a grip.

He will be one of our better players next season, if he stays injury free. You can quote me later.

Mount haters will have to strap in because Amorim is going to play him a sht load next season as long as he stays fit of course

Mount was OK today.
Very lively and proactive.
He’s obviously a still a long way from being in the best match form, so if he can stay fit, I think we’ll see a lot more of him next season.
Keep an open mind on this lad.

We should be signing Cunha for his position. Mount should be nowhere near the starting XI with a fully fit squad.

We also shouldn't need to rotate as much with no European football.

Performance today definitely helped explain why he was picked for the final. I assume he’s been looking this sharp in training for the last week or two. Just a bummer it didn’t happen for him in Bilbao (where he was one of many that didn’t do themselves justice)

Really surprised at the comments in this thread today, thought he played well and if we got that version of him week after week, he’d be a great asset.

Would've been nice if Mount today turned up in the cup final, but alas he didn't do so when he really needed to.

I'd be happy to see the back of him if this squad gets culled like it should.

He was really good in the first half, I see a good player in there. Really hoping he can be more lucky with injuries next season and I expect he will have much improved performances

Would be good if Casemiro or Bruno turned up too. This blame game is stupid. CUp final everybody being overly cautious including the teams tactics.

Yep, Mount gets a kicking on here but I enjoyed his first half performance, on another day he gets a goal.

For the final, the whole team was rubbish, Mount being crap in that game was no different to anyone else.

Give him another season and see what he can do without being injured for 80% of it.

His resale value couldn't possibly get any lower so there's nothing to lose really. I suspect he could be a decent squad option but not good enough to start. Take the bloody 7 shirt off him though it's ridiculous.

Decent performance, he'd be a useful player if he could stay fit.

He hasn't shown that he can, so I'd have no problem with him being shown the door this summer.

I thought he played well in the last few matches he started. Just not much end products.

I think he is a victim of high price ETH paid. If he is on 20M (since it is last year of the contract), we wouldn't complain as much.

Good player to have especially if he stays fit. Next season will be important for him.

This is a thread about Mason Mount so of course I'm going to be talking about him here instead of Bruno and Case... it's not like they're free from criticism, either.

Bit if a nothing player, imo..who manager's seem to like. Let's hope he is able to stay fit next season and prove his worth.

A prolonged period without injuries (at least 3 months) is what he really needs imo.
Well he just had a month and next seson starts in 3 months so I guess if he makes it to then he'll be good :)

I'd say so yes - there is a holiday though. So maybe a month after the season starts, we should see whether he's worth playing regularly or not.

Not the season anyone wanted, but at least he finished with a run of appearances, they're still protecting him, 60 minutes seems to be all he's got right now.
Let's see how he is after a preseason. The manager like's him, I expect he'll play a lot next season, 3 years left on his contract, he'll be given another chance.

Another useless player who can turn it only on a few games a month. I hope we can sell him too

He is not the victim of his salary. Every single one in this thread will get fired if they do not live up to their salary. I know football industry is different but still at the end of the day it's his job and he should perform as a super star with both his salary and the privilege to wear the most iconic shirt in the club's history. Our fanbase is damaged, he plays two good passes in a dead game for us and they say he played " a good game". Well he should not play "a good game" based on two good passes and on weak shot on target, he should be the main superstar based on his transfer fee, his salary and his presentation from the club as a super star with the iconic shirt. Sorry, but I do not want to see him at the club next season and I am very happy we are perusing both Cunha and Mbeumo, with Amad and Bruno he will have zero place in the squad and rightfully so.

If it was not for his English nationality, he would have been perceived as DVB.

Nobody is buying him, so fingers crossed he finds form and stays healthy.

Basically an English Donny. Only redeemable quality - he's homegrown.
