Just sell at whatever price. He's a waste of space. We've plenty of cover for the 10 position.

It is Mount and it is only friendly game so my expectations are not high but bloody hell.

Surprised he has a player thread? Anonymity is his super power. The Tom Heaton of our midfield/ attack

He plays for United like a Chelsea fan.

He was shocking and abysmal tonight. Has he even touched the ball during the match? I want really want to see the amount of touches that he had during the game. It was probably fewer than 5 touches.

I am not sure that he had a single touch. He probably had but i can't remember any.

Many Chelsea fans I used to speak with labelled him a "nothing player". Nobody knows what he does or what he's actually good at. He looks busy and runs around a lot, he's not good at anything else.

Chelsea fans still rate him, if you take what they've been saying here about him. So 40m to Chelsea should be like a good value for them.

They probably "love" him because they scammed us so badly. Just like Atalanta did with Holjund.

Mount is an expert in delivering disasterclass performances, that's for sure. I don't remember him having one great performance in Man Utd shirt bar that one in Europa League against Bilbao.

I would much rather keep Garnacho and have him as the option off the bench rather than Mount. What does the guy do? Floats around doing nothing in my eyes. Monumental waste of 60 million, massive wages and the number 7 jersey.

Yep, on talent it's not even a debate. But Mount runs a lot and appears 'easy' to manage so coaches like him. I've said before he's up there with the likes of Sancho as our worst ever signing.

Almost everyone was universal in their opinion of not signing him, in the season that we desperately needed a CM. Absolutely pointless signing for everyone, except those who mattered.

To think that we blew up 55m in the last year of his contract. Good lord.

Can't see anyone wanting to buy him, even next season but we should regardless get rid, at anything above book value.

Typical amount performance but some people on this forum would be happy with him as one of the main options for the 10 position. Clueless.

Gernacho cannot stay at this club, we cannot have anyone who isn’t a team player. Mount has been a waste of money but he is a good player, Amorim needs to find that player we seen in the Europa that scored that brace. I can’t say I’m confident he will but Gernacho needs to urgently go.

Eth did serious harm with our finances buying this guy. Monumental waste of money.

Was bought by Murtough. I agree ten hag suggesting him is wrong but the job of a DoF is to rely on scouts and managers in tandem and not walk into a room being ripped off.

Sadly yes, Murtough said to ETH that we could get him for a good price and would he want him, then we dropped 60m on a player with 1 year left on his contract. Just one of the many reasons why we’ve been such a poorly run club for the last 12 years or so.

Can’t remember a stupider signing tbh. It’d be comical if we didn’t somehow conceive to waste 55 million on him

Will never make it and another misfit buy. Hopefully gone next summer and finally room for a worthy 7

Yeah, I remember there was an athletic article that said Murtough went into negotiations knowing a ceiling price of 45m and left paying 60m

He was an utter mess. You consider what he did with Mount, Hojlund, Antony by way of being pulled down for fees it's quite nuts.

He is the worst signing we have made easily for that price.

Atleast with Sancho and Antony there was a need in their positions and they had been doing well coming into United.

With Mount we didnt need him and he had a poor season as well. Even when he was good he was nothing special and we paid 55 to 60 million for him with 1 year left on his contract. Absolute waste.

Can't understand why we're not putting it out there that he's available for transfer.

You forget he even plays for us for alot of the time.

Totally agree. For all the reasons you cited and his inability to stay fit, he's comfortably our worst signing.

He was an effective young talent in 2020 and 2021, scored a decent number of goals and established himself in the England team.

Wrecked by injury over 3 years , the manager likes him, I expect if he's fit we'll see a lot of him, there's a player there in the right system

There's literally 2 at the club right now called Sancho and Antony
Not really. They made sense as signings at the time from a footballing aspect, even if the fee for Antony was ridiculous. I'm not sure that Mount would have even made sense on a free transfer.

It was because we gave far too much license to the manager and Ten Hag was desperate to sign him, for whatever reason. Same thing happened with Antony the season before, we ended up paying an obscene fee when any sensible club would've walked away from the deal weeks before.
