We should look to sell him this window while his stock is still high, and there are many teams playing 3421.

Yeah, he's a classy player, but cost benefit analysis is a sell if possible.

Just returning from injury and looked a little rusty. Similar to Mainoo, if he's able to play an hour, I'd start him on the left with Bruno in the 10.

I'd be trying to convert him to make shift midfielder. Bruno should never be played there, and Mount is not a winger. Then in the summer we need to decide what to do with him.

I've always felt that. His skillset more suited to a deeper role.

He didn't play that well but he had a brilliant ball to Shaw near the end that he should have done a lot better with, if Shaw smashes that in then he's the hero.

He works the best (and only?) in 3421 system. Not good enough for any position in 433.

I honestly forgot he subbed on. For all the shit mainoo got would've expected more from mount. Just an invisible performance out there from our number 7

I think he'll be the most impacted by going back to a 4231 type. Depends how Ole/Fletcher see him and the other wingers but I doubt see him as the first sub off the bench now either. Mbeumo, Sesko and Amad the starting front 3, Cunha the first attacking sub, mainoo competing with Ugarte for the deeper role next to Casemiro. Leaves Mount to be the 2nd winger sub which isn't his best role, or the odd rest for Bruno.

I'd 100% sell him if we could get decent money. He's a good player, but he's too fragile and doesn't really fit. In the event Bruno leaves you could argue we need him, but I also don't think he's that type of 10 to run games, he tends to hide from the ball a bit. He played 30 minutes compared to Mainoos 15, yet he 12 passes compared to Mainoos 19. He just doesn't get involved enough in games which you can't do in a key position like that.

Completely agree with everything you said. It goes back to the conversation most were having when we first signed him. Why and where is he going to play? Out of the forward and midfield players, he's definitely going to be the most impacted by the manager change.

Going from Bruno to Mount as a starter would be a massive downgrade.

didn't watch the game live, but caught the highlights, was it not him that played that lofted that lovely ball right to Shaw in the box but he mis controlled it. Beautiful pass.

cant remember off the top of my head, but even if that was him that would prob be his only moment. Just can't come on against burnley, be part of the team that immediately loses any momentum, and then only have like 1-2 singular moments where you even remind people you are playing. Youd expect a player of his supposed quality to at least show up out there. Watching live i pretty much forgot he was out there.

Man Utd 1:2 Brighton
Absolute passenger today, as he has been for the majority of his United career. Ineffective on the ball and chasing shadows off the ball. He's no longer the pressing machine that he was at Chelsea.

Bad decision to play him out wide. What was he supposed to do there? Too far from midfield to be helpful there, and not really a dribbler is he?

He was poor, I don't even remember him on the ball much but no sense to play him out wide on the right.

Back to "what's the point of Mount". He provides 0 on the ball value whatever the system is. Under Amorim he had "off the ball" value, sure, but you can't have a player in attack, regardless of (very high) wages, be as useless as he is on the ball. Guy just goes hiding, isn't creative, barely a goal threat apart from the odd moment, can't dribble... Just a nothing player.

We need to be ruthless with sales and he's definitely one that needs to go.

Another one like Shaw, Dalot, Maguire etc who will end up staying at the club for far too long and offer absolutely nothing, yet have people including him in “Best 11” and saying how he’s top class when on form. I’ve been hearing that crap about shaw for years. Sick of watching these soft, gutless wasters

Our no7, amazing how far we’ve fallen that this guy was considered good for that shirt. Of all the players we could’ve bought for the money our genius football heads identified him

It’s pointless asking us to sell him. He’s a very injury prone player on £250k a week, who doesn’t do that much even when he does get on the pitch. Who is going to buy him?

All we can do with him is use him as a back up option when available and wait for his contract to expire in 2028.

To be fair, have you seen our other number 7s since Ronaldo left the first time around?

I almost forget he’s number 7. We paid a big fee and salary too when he was in the last year of his contract. What a calamitous signing

The best thing this guy can do is stay injured, as the longer he is out the better the fanbase think he is.

There are no excuses for him not tracking back well enough. That was the one thing we were assured of when we signed him, that he works hard for the team. Well he didnt.

2028 is crazy. Takes up a squad space and provides nothing. Honestly we need to be forcing him out on loan for even half his wages if we can. He's a 10, who cannot provide any creativity the feck is the point in that.

Ghost-like performance, judging by how downcast he looked while being subbed i'm guessing he thinks the same thing. He won't get many chances now that Amad and Mbeumo are back.

The guy has shown in the last three years that he can barely play double figures of matches a season. No club would touch him for even 50k a week.

The problem he will have is that he thrives in a 3-4-3 formation. Not sure where he will fit into a 4-3-3 as Bruno will always take the position he would like best.

Looked miserable as hell all game. Pretty sure Chelsea fans said he can only thrive as a ten.

Very average but he’ll take the ball neatly on the half turn and play a couple of nice passes in a game soon and we’ll be back to hearing how we play our best football with him.

Casper needs to be shipped off 1st chance we get, actually scary how many of are lot believe he's a solution or we play are best football with him. He's a ghost.

Another player we will never manage to move on until the contract finishes. He is a crock unfortunately.

Compresses the pitch too much since he's not a winger and cannot beat a man for pace. He has no role in this team
