These never happen especially established first teamers. I remember Spurs signed 2 young players from Sheffield United when they were in the championship or something. Other than that double sales dont really happen. Maybe 1 big transfer fee and someone who is leaving on a free. Thats about it

Chatgpt is telling me there are examples of it. But then looking at the list its only Haaland and Akanji from Dortmund where it would be both first team starters from the same club sold to a premier league club... And that would be a foreign club to a prem club, not prem club to prem club

Agreed. I wonder if we're low balling on Summerville to try and get West Ham down on Fernandes. We know they need to raise money from some player sales and they'll get more from Fernandes than Summerville, even if they don't get the 80m they want.

Didn't Monaco sign Moutinho and Rodriguez at the same time? Probably the most high profile one I can remember which I think is the exception that proves the rule here

If you believe The United Stand, UTD would be signing about 50 players every transfer window.

Incidentally, whose place in the starting XI would Summerville take? Cunha? Amad? Mbeumo?
We need a squad not a team

I guess first offer for him will be something like £45m plus addons taking it to around £50m but only an estimate

£100m for both would be fair. £65m and £35m
Honestly as a West Ham fan I wouldn't be upset with that. If I was greedy I'd like maybe 5-10m more but thats not unreasonable at all, and offers strong book profit for the following season which will be important given more limited owner input due to SCR in the championship

I think this would be fair too, everyone’s happy! Let’s make it happen.

I think we will get some money from Vitek and Collyer (possibly about £20m) and a very good chance we get about £20m for Greenwood too.
Interesting. Never thought we’d get 20m for Vitek and Collyer, seems like a lot. Didn’t realize we’d get 20m for Greenwood this year.

Rashford slapped with a 40m price tag… He may be destined for another loan.

We did Mazaroui + De Ligt as sort of a double deal no?

If we get 20M for Vitek and Collyer I assume that is 19M for Vitek and 1M for Collyer. We have no chance of getting 20M for Greenwood, our sell on is only on the profit made over the 26M Marseille paid and his current value is around 40M with us entitled to either 40% or 50% of the profit depending on who you believe so either 5.6M or 7M. Not a certainty he moves at all though, Roma are interested but strapped for cash and no other concrete interst has emerged.

Why does he have to take anyone’s place? We need squad depth. Each player should be fighting to start.. people seem to think we only need a starting 11. We’ll have more games next season

One can dream

Priorities. Need a starting XI before we bolster other areas

Except for CM we already have a "starting XI", and it looks like that might change soon if we get Fernandes. I put starting XI in quotes because when you're competing in the PL and CL plus domestic cups your exact starting XI contantly rotates anyway.

We signed De Ligt and Mazrouai.

And this wouldn't be prem club to prem club ;)

I'm reminded of this graphic of U23 midfielders' duelling ability that I saw a few months ago:
HF6m4HxaMAApCZH

M. Fernandes, Bouaddi and M. Sangare all come out rather well. Baleba not too far off.
Is that P. Sucic the Inter one? I've been a fan since watching him in the cl last season.

This is going to be like the Mbuemo deal where we spend a month "negotiating"...and just end up paying exactly what the selling club want in the end.

Reasonably confident will get this done eventually...but its going to be very close to West Hams valuation i think

Historically, when we've been quoted a price by PL teams, we usually go like 5-10m lower than preposterous valuations to seal the deal. Mbuemo was supposed to be 75-77m we got him for around 70. Sesko similar. Mount, Ugarte, Sancho, list goes on. True with presumably any competent players before they were signed.

I don't see us getting Matheus Fernandes any lower than 75 mil, same with Summerville, West ham won't go below 40-45m, especially when interest will be drummed up after World Cup.

120 mil minimum. I think we are better off not getting into bidding for Summerville. We should consider investing maybe 10-20m pounds extra to go for someone with proven quality and output reflected in numbers.

Not unless we manage to sell better than expected, clearly this guy is top target now Anderson off table
When have we actually sold well in a window. I just have my hopes set on our most sellable asset Rashford scoring a couple of bangers in the WC for someone like Bayern or some PL side scoop him up.
Ugarte, Zirkzee, Onana might be trapped in the loan with option cycle.

We'll get a 5 mil discount after a month, we'll end up paying no less than 75 mil with achievable add ons

Yeah I fear you are gonna be right

Going way back here, but Barcelona took Petit and Overmars from Arsenal in one fell swoop.

Heard that Mendes is Fernandes's agent. If this is the case, maybe it means that we are stuck for Ugarte until uncle Jorge finds a club for him.

It's somehow what happed for Yoro. Mendes proposed us a package of Yoro+Ugarte, so maybe it's Fernandes + a comission on Ugarte.
