Being linked via SullyTalkz now - despite the name he has got some links from within the club, @Berbaclass can vouch for his reliability (I believe)

Think he's got great potential
18 years old and looks like he could improve massively
Would love this

We'd be mad to not to go for him. From Rochdale, good relationship with the club he's at and bags of potential.

He's looked really bright every time I've watched him this season. Impressive for a lad so young with no experience of the top flight.

I don't believe the rumors because Wolves are in full on survival mode. They've accepted that they are going to get relegated and are trying to sell every possible player that:
(a) Is on high wages or (b) can raise cash for them.

Sa, Strand Larsen, Gomes Mane etc. will move / have moved already.

This feels like yet another promising young player link that runs on for a while, and then out of nowhere, Chelsea agree a deal for him.

He won't get the gametime to develop here. In an ideal world it's the type of signing you'd make for Nice for a few years and see how it goes - but maybe too expensive for them.

I don’t see why he wouldn’t. Zirkzee is still getting minutes for us and if we get into Europe next year and survive longer in the cups we’ll have a mountain of fixtures to get through.

He's probably been Wolves 2nd best player although hes only had 9 starts. Hes mostly played CM in a packed 5 man midfield with 2nd most often picked position as an AM in different formations.

He's shown that hes premier league quality so it would make little sense to loan him to a different league. A loan to a bottom half of the table team would surely be an option but most likely if we signed him our manager would want a look at him and would try him in the first team before deciding he needs time away. Most likely we could give him cup games in midfield to see how he does and games off the bench. He'd be a far more positive sub than Ugarte. As an AM its certainly true he wouldnt get a lot of time with Bruno always playing but if we're signing him we must think he can go from Wolves 3 man midfield to our 2 man midfield. And at 18 he has loads of time to make that change

transfermarkt actually has him as playing most games up front when including his youth football. Hes also played a few games wide. So it seems hes very versatile although hes favoured through the middle

For me he'd be a no brainer signing as long as Wolves arent asking for far too much money. I'd liken it a little bit to Mateus Fernandes last season at Southampton although he was older and played every week. He's a young player who is one of the best at his club going down to the championship and he hasnt been overhyped yet so the money is going to be a bit more reasonable than the likes of Anderson, Wharton, Baleba and Fernandes

For 30-40m he'd be a good option as a versatile forward if we have concerns about or a lack of budget for Diomande from Leipzig.

know nothing about him but theyre getting relegated either way

Not what we need. Seen him a few times and haven’t come out impressed. Comes across to me as having a Danny Welbeck ceiling.

Diomande is after a move to Liverpool by the recent comments he's made. Looks like United have moved onto to other targets, like Ndiaye and Mane, who are two exciting wide players, both have EPL experience. Our budget will be fine as long as they can get Europa or better still Champions League.

I was just going to say from the little I’ve seen from him I believe he could provide cover in all of the attacking positions from attacking midfield forward and develop in potentially any of these roles.

Maybe I’m being optimistic but I like when a young player can demonstrate this flexibility and it can increase the potential minutes they get.

Reckon it'll be a similar deal to what Dibling went to Everton for last summer. Less if anything as Dibling played a more prominent figure for Southampton, Mane has only had a few months of first team football.

30m is +5m add ons is the max you'd want to pay.

Very nice first touch and flick away from Arsenal players in the buildup to Wolves first goal last night

He also crossed to set up the 2nd goal. It was an easy cross to deal with and Arsenal just messed up with Gabriel and Raya both going for it and not clearing well enough, but still worth mentioning since it was his cross.

Wolves played a 3-4-2-1 like Amorim did and Mane was picked in one of the AM roles behind the striker this game

Slightly off topic but to those that watched the game, and not just the highlights like I did, is there anything to the Wolves Left Wingback Hugo Bueno? He scored a beauty!

I think we'll go all in for Ndiyae at Everton this summer for the left wing spot.

From the little I've seen of Mane though he is a big talent. Probably not ready for the jump to a big club yet as he needs consistent minutes.

Personally I don't think he's that good.

Isn't he more of a number ten than a wide player?

35m+ for a player that's played 11 games in the Premier League is mental money!

Danny welbeck has been a top premier league player for years.

This isn't the burn you think it is.
