He might be ready for Sunday but he'll be a day late as we play Saturday tea time.If he’s not joined the squad for training yet then there is no way he’ll be ready for Sunday

If he's fit and been training for a week plus then I don't think 10 minutes off the bench should be beyond him? I probably wouldn't start him but if the game is tight and we need a rescue job or a winner then would be great to have him as an option.
He's only just restarted individual training, and not back in team training yet so it would be stupid to risk him against Chelsea. Concentrate on having him ready for the Brentford game.
Haven't seen it reported anywhere else but......
We shouldn’t create false narratives.I really like Cunha's attitude and desire to play. He was trying to convince Ruben he was fit for the City game at the weekend too.
I understand the concerns around coming back before you're ready but we have had too many sick notes in recent years and it's good to see someone willing to fight through a niggle.
We have players who are eager. If you talk with Cunha, he will say he can play this game.
One of the most pedantic posts I’ve seen on here. Both saying the exact same thing really. Cunha wants to play but the club are saying he’s not fit enough despite him pushing for it.We shouldn’t create false narratives.
Here’s what Amorim has said:
Emphasis on “if”. He’s not recounting an actual conversation, he’s using a hypothetical to illustrate, crucially, not state of Cunha’s fitness but his mentality.
It absolutely is pedantic. It's also an important distinction. One of the most pedantic posts I’ve seen on here. Both saying the exact same thing really. Cunha wants to play but the club are saying he’s not fit enough despite him pushing for it.
He has started off really well for us.And he really is the difference at the moment. The sole reason we looked like we should've beaten Arsenal, and it's no surprise we've tailed off since. Lets forget Grimsby ever happned
Played three consecutive games in a rowWhat even is Mount's injury? Not heard much about it
Made me laugh more than it shouldPlayed three consecutive games in a row

That's just a rumour though. If the lad thought he was ready for City then I doubt he's only just restarted individual training.

Cunha is worth the ticket prices. I genuinely felt like going tomorrow would be a chore, but I have hope we won’t get battered now. The way he carries and holds the ball up individually does help in stopping us get ran through more often.
Holy crap we might have a chance
I think this is mad. One player doesn't mean we have a chance. We lost as a team in the last game despite also playing well as a team at times. Just lacking intensity, focus, belief, and perhaps the tactical nous required all over the park.
He and Mount make us a better team. One changes the entire defending from the front, the other doesn’t lose the ball.I think this is mad. One player doesn't mean we have a chance. We're a better side with Cunha than without. Whether his availability gives us even a remote chance of beating Chelsea is up to every one of us to decide. I'm of the view that we will at least scrape a draw and that if he plays Cunha will be a decisive force in the match.
I'd guess that Cunha and Mount are subs while we start with:Plus it'll be the first time our new attack will actually play together.
Plus it'll be the first time our new attack will actually play together.
And there is that too. We've seen flashes of brilliance from Cunha and Mbuemo, and a few moments of decency (nothing more, but more is coming) from Sesko. Put those three together on the same wavelength, add a little Bruno and Mainoo (for a third midfielder, which unfortunately Amorim refuses to even consider) and we might just put the sword to a few opponents. Maybe not Chelsea, though they are there for the taking if Ruben would just let the boys play football instead of shitball, but surely we should be able to beat Sunderland for our second win out of seven PL matches to open the new season.

It absolutely is pedantic. It's also an important distinction.
That conversation, at least from what we know (and we only know about this from Amorim's words) has never happened. It's like me saying "if I'll go to war, I'd like to take Nemanja Vidić with me" — if you'll read that and say that "harms has been begging Vidić to go to war together", you'd be wrong.
Amorim is showcasing Cunha's exceptional mentality — that he wants to play no matter what. It's a famous press conference trope that players and managers alike use often. He doesn't use it as a literal example that we can assess Cunha's fitness by. So saying that "Cunha was trying to convince Ruben he was fit for the City game" and assuming that this means that he's close (or not close) to being match fit is wrong. One thing is not indicative of another.
He would’ve said “I’ve talked to him and he’s telling me that he’s eager to play” in that case. Amorim is very straight-forward, there’s no need for hypotheticals if he’s recounting an actual conversation that happened.Context matters. Amorim says if YOU had a conversation with Cunha, he'd say xyxyxy; we know Amorim does have conversations with Cunha so we can safely conclude he's had this particular one already. It's easily inferable.
It was great. I hope he, like Mbuemo, continue to bring that aspect of their play to our game. We've been missing players who have the strength and composure to shield the ball under pressure and turn away from pressing opposition. What he did in 93rd minute is exactly what makes him, better than any player on the field.
Instead of clearing it to opponent, wait, shield the ball, and outmaneuver the pressure, which not only gave time to breathe for the whole team, it also created opportunity to score.
In 95th minute, similar thing with winning the free kick. Class.
