I’m also of the opinion that having a player of Bruno’s type in centre mid doesn’t help a player like Cunha who needs to be picking the ball up centrally a lot of the time.

If your solution to make a signing work is taking out your best player, yoir recruitment department has a lot to answer for .
Tbh, Cunha has been good and slightly unlucky , he has had good chances to score and assist and has missed out for one reason or other . His overall contribution is good enough, dont need a lot of changes .

It’s mostly due to playing our best player out of position….

I think for us we're struggling to assign him a role. Cunha isn't a 9 as he prefers to go towards the ball, he doesn't occupy center backs and attack the box.

Playing LAM, Cunha wants the ball in central areas but so does Bruno who plays just below him, and Bruno is of higher hierarchy within the United ranks. I think it's limiting his involvement and impact.

I've no doubt he'll be a good signing because even now he's still contributing. I think if you swap Bruno for a natural CM who focuses on keep things tight defensively and keeps it simple on the ball. Cunha will become the main driver of United attack. They're both Mavericks I think that combo doesn't get the best of each other.

Well so far his problem has been not passing at the right time and not getting in enough shooting positions. Dropping Bruno wouldn't help him with either of those things.

I still think he's made a good start. I get his personal goal and assist stats haven't been great but he's been an effective part of an attack that is magnitudes better than what we had last season.

He'll come good.

Cunha pulled out of Altrincham’s Xmas lights switch on as he got injured in training today. I am there and they just announced on the stage with a lot of apologies.

Kinda reads to me like they just needed an excuse for why he didn’t wanna attend a freezing cold Xmas light switch on

Guessing he lives down the road (as most players live in that part), they asked his agent and they agreed with the game on Monday and he'd turn up for half an hour, switch on the lights and pose for some selfies and then go home.

Medical thing could mean he hurt his hand in training and can't physically switch on the lights (but could still play) or he is "unavailable" and in hospital for tests on an injury.

You certainly don't want him out long term with Sesko injured next few weeks and going to lose Mbuemo and Amad in around a month's time.

Dont think the club will give an update as it will help everton. It could be cunha wasnt arsed and made up an injury or maybe he broke his leg, we ll only know close to the game.

At least the good people of Altrincham will be reassured that he probably would have turned their christmas lights on if he could.
