He has regressed a lot under Amorim and is really struggling to be perform to his usual level due to the system Amorim uses.

Jeysus people, stop pretending we can accurately judge players in this shite on a stick borefest of a system.

Cunha is clearly a good player at this level, but Amorim is utterly hopeless at this level and all players have and will continue to suffer under his inflexible approach.

Fans spent 7 months or so last season telling us the manager wasn’t the issue and that all he needed was some top forwards, namechecking Cunha every time in order to turn everything around. Turns out it’s all players that look wank in this.

I think he will eventually turn out good, terrible start so far, the reason why players who come from lower teams struggle when they eventually go to a bigger team is because they don’t see the ball as much as they did before , at wolves damn near every attack went through him and while it showcases his ability it also overhype’s it.

When playing for a club with players just as you every attack will be “ shared “ out ( so to speak).
I said the same thing about Jack Grealish, certain players are used to being the main focal point when the talent around them are not as good and when they arrive at a big club it takes time for them to adjust sharing the creative duties.
yep, same applies to all players. Amad was fire last season and his influence diminished with Mbeumo /Cunha introduction.

EVen Mbeumo loks a bit selfish sometimes, they need to learn how to leverage each other. On some days it looked good, but some its the question who wants to more impress.

As for CUnha, he had some great games, but sometimes you need a plyer like Mount who can do the basics right and combine before getting into a bigger chance rather than trying everything by himself. Cunha can be exciting player when we have space to attack, so if we ever transfer into a pressing team, he will be very good as well as other players. It's just that sometimes we are not arsed to press highg enough as a team and then we need to attack with the other team behind the ball and it's difficult. Hopefully this change.

I would jump into comclusions after some Cunhas performances as he was injured a couple of times and need to be 100% fit.

Cunha looked brilliant in a similar role at Wolves, the biggest difference was that opposition teams gave him space to exploit when they were playing Wolves while they are happy to sit back against us.

Would there be any merit to trying him at LWB, or maybe swap him and Amad do they can hold the width and cross on their natural foot. Cunha would be a handful out wide in 1v1’s where the opposition FB is isolated. Would open up a lot of room in the 1/2 spaces for Mount, Mbeumo.

We need a big game from him.

Upfront as a striker against his old club. Surely he has extra motivation tonight. Please.

We desperately need him to start finding form now before AFCON. We can’t be relying on the likes of Zirkzee and Mount to win us games without Mbeumo and Amad. Same with Bruno, he needs to find more consistency with his play and improve on his decisions on the pitch.

The problem is he's gone from a team where opponents afford a lot of space to United where most teams sit back. It impacts most players.

I want him shooting from range a bit more, we know he's got it in his locker and against a deep defence it tends to be the best option.

The more structural issue is we rarely do a direct ball to the 10s that allows them to get in behind. We tried it occasionally yesterday but it was mainly to Mbeumo. Martinez back hopefully means we start playing those through balls down the left channel again.
Was on he the left for wolves or up the middle in the 10?

Need something from him, anything. A goal, an assist, heck even just a good game. He's been so poor lately.

Wolves 1:4 Man Utd New
Class player, but off the pace.

I'll probably get pelters for saying this, but I'd rather we had kept Garnacho than spent 60m on this guy. At the age of 26, this kind of inconsistency is likely to be the norm.

Didnt have the touch and dribbling he had early in the season, let alone the shooting from last season. He had lots of attempts but like 90% of them were blocked by a player a yard from him so I'm not sure they're worth counting

Garnacho was better. I didn’t rate him much either but he did pass occasionally. And score the odd time.

Wank tonight, needs to find some form and quickly with afcon coming up.

Phenomenally greedy. Holds onto the ball way too long.

Bit of the Rooney vs Everton’s tonight. Way too eager to prove himself against an old club.

Let's give him more time, he's given us glimpses of world class talent here and there (that away performance against Liverpool was incredible), but he absolutely needs to step up and he needs to do it soon. With Mbuemo and Amad going away soon, we'll need him big time

He was rubbish and needs to find some form soon, so many poor decisions and touches tonight.

He just looks so off the pace. Passes when he shoot shoot. Shoots when he should pass. One of the best ballstrikers in the league the past few years and now he's mishitting everything. You can see how frustrated he's getting too but he has to start making the right decisions. A few lovely flicks tonight but other than that he offered little and did his best to bottle chances. Maybe Sesko's return will help him, I don't know.

You mean like the fella who got an assist and played another key pass that led to a goal tonight?

An assist today. Well, from a technical standpoint - it wasn’t a good pass

I think he was looking sensational (well, as sensational as you can look in an averagely side) before getting that concussion. He'll come good, just trying too hard and it shows. A shame Bruno did not give him the pen to boost his confidence.

How has he scored 15 PL goals for Wolves and he comes here and can't hit a barn door?

So frustrating we never get the good version of players.

Seems like he just can't really do anything right. I think he's just not comfortable in the team yet. He's not the main man here and maybe he's not used to that.

He's just taking too many touches, not releasing the ball quick enough.

And he's been a bit unlucky in front of goal.

You can see the talent though.

I know he's not especially quick, but he can't be that slow. Was like he was running through treacle.

Slow and losing the ball more often than not. Used to be impossible to get the ball off him.

Hopefully he is back to his best soon because that was not good enough.

Horrible performance.

Had two golden opportunities to score and just put it straight down the middle of the goal both times. Dwelled on the ball repeatedly when good passes were on. Near enough screwed up the opportunity which Bruno managed to remarkably salvage for his goal. Played that one good pass to Mount and that was it.

Was much better for Wolves last season.

His desperation to score against his old club looked to affect his performance tonight. Also looks a bit off the pace, hopefully no more injuries so he is back up to speed.

Harsh comments so far. Some great moments of quality I thought. Should be coming away with a few goal contributions in that game though which is the big frustration. He was part of a very good second half performance

Agreed, the comments are going really overboard. He played some absolutely majestic football, some of the flicks in tight areas to set teammates away were delicious.

Lacked some incisiveness in and around the Wolves area, but a lot of our best play went through him.

The assist was the worst pass I’ve seen in my life. If you want to compare stats though, that assist tonight has him halfway to Garnacho’s total this season.

Could tell he was desperate for a goal but he was unselfish at the time he should have probably scored himself.

Made up for it with the pre-assist on Mbeumo’s goal

Looks like a luxury player so far in his United career. Been very disappointed.

Didn't look sharp enough but it will come

Think he really steps up in next few games
