Very good, seems like he's stopped drifting to Bruno's position and is taking players on, crossing more. Fantastic today.
He's adapting well to the role, learning better when to stay wide and when to drift in. Oozes class for the goal - how did he have the time and space to get that shot off? Incredible.

Much much better now he’s staying out wide more, seems to have that burst of acceleration to be able to get a yard on the FB and whip a cross in or drive into the box. Exactly what we need.

He can be absolutely shit for 89 minutes, but pop up with a perfectly taken goal in the 90th. Thought he was generally pretty good today though, and the goal was lovely.

Held his width, provided a good bit of threat going on the outside and crossing with his left, worked very hard defensively, and won the game with his goal.

It wasn't a vintage attacking performance at all overall, but a very effective day's work.

Cunhas best game in a United shirt. 99% of his decisions were good. He passed when he had to and did not take on players excessively. His finisb was excellent. Worked a lot defensively too. If he played 7 out of 10 games like this on the left, a Diomande would not be necessary

Took his goal beautifully and put in another ball in the 1st half that was begging to be finished off. Overall pretty happy with that performance.

Played well today.
Hopefully can keep this up so he's at the level he was at Wolves

Wish he were more consistent, but when he's playing well he's a great player to have in the team

I think he's actually effective on the left, he has the 1v1 ability, the problem only arises if the manager just lets him do what he wants and drift. Tell him to stay wide, dribble past full backs and cross, and cut in and shoot.

Love him. He can be inconsistent, but very often finds a way to have a massive impact on the game.

Would love to see him play on the left with a fullback more hungry to make overlapping runs. Hopefully that is something we have next season.

Gets unnecessary shit from the crowd who are obsessed with wanting a natural left winger but after Bruno he’s the one most likely making things happen.

He started slowly with stats but now he’s starting to score more regularly as expected. Excited to see what he’ll be like next season having settled n the team now.

Utterly brilliant. There are those here who love to trash him, but I’m falling in love with Cunha. We know about his ability to beat a man on the dribble, his chance creation and his finishing, but what sets him apart from most other left wingers on the planet is his relentless in his defensive duties. Cunha doesn’t just press up high…he goes all the way back to his own byline and gets stuck in. I have no patience for anyone who refuses to see this and insist we need an upgrade at LW.

He's such a dangerous player, can make things happen at any time, and often does. His touch and finish for the goal today were both genuinely world class.

In the first half he put some nice crosses into the box but we didnt have any forwards with forward instincts trying properly to get in a striker position. Second half he took his chance very well. Along with Bruno the only 2 starting attackers who showed it was correct to start them.

Something clicked with him recently on the left. He’s constantly targeting the fullback, and making good choices. He plays more simple game and that suits everybody around.

Fair play to Cunha, I didn’t know he had that in him. Likeable cnut too.

He stayed wide, which helped the team. And he played intelligently, responsibly. Be tough to drop him on current form, as has a big prescence in the team. Certainly has an x-factor and he wears the shirt well. His enthusiasm is needed in our squad, seems to have an infectious character which is good. A goalscorer and difficult to handle when playing well.

Said it in the matchday thread, but he’s surely got the most underrated pace in the league alongside Sander Berge? Cunha looks pedestrian at times, even when he accelerates past defenders you think the defender slipped or something. Tonight for the goal, he basically accelerated past Konsa, a very fast CB, and Konsa wasn’t able to catch him either. Then he placed the shot perfectly.

He’s often in and out of games, but he’s very hard to dislike, and he has a knack of delivering just something. Also liked that he’s keeping the width more. He was furher helped by a Shaw who looked like he had something to prove from last match. All good!

He's really stepped it up since the turn of the year....

Can't help but love the guy too.

Very good match from him. Thought he was MOTM since he tried difficult stuff a lot and it came off a lot too. Very encouraging, he is a great player and his ability to make the ball stick could be invaluable for us.

My MOTM. Pleasure to watch when he's on it. He didn't over run the ball or shoot on site, his all round game was improved, let's hope this game isn't the exception though.

His ability to make the ball stick is so overlooked. For over a decade we've looked like a team that you can just get the ball off. Cunha, Amad and the Bruno improvement are changing that.

His celebration must be so triggering for the opposition fans and I fecking love it  It reminds me when we were playing FIFA with a group of friends back in the days and used to do a silly celebration after scoring to trigger them

He and Bruno put the silly myth that we cant play them both to rest with that game. The game that gave us a 3 point advantage in 3rd place against the 4th placed team.

Unorthodox LW or LAM. He;s nicely direct for a change and defenders have hard time to read him, because he can cut inside for a shot which he's very dangerous or he can just run straight with blistering pace and put a decent cross or shot with his "weaker foot". Works hard most of the time so hard not to like the player.

Plenty of games where Cunha has been anonymous too.

Nothing gets proven and disproven with one off games. We just know Cunha is the maverick player who will be missing in a few and be amazing in a few.

I love when he stays wide for long periods of time. Things just happen when we get the ball to him.

He also does a far better job of tracking back than I expected.

Love the lad, probably my favourite player we've signed in a long time

I think thats clearly all down to Cunha and has nothing to do with Bruno. Bruno is the exact opposite of what you just described

Cunha and Burno can and very much did get in each other's way in quite a few games where we were not as threatening going forward.

The marked change yesterday was Cunha was further wide and stuck to his position. We will need to see if he's disciplined to keep that up over multiple games.
