I don't think that Carrick does not like Šeško, rather, he dose not want to mess with a formula that has worked really well.

Cunha was good again tonight.
I'm not convinced it's working really well.

We barely score from open play, a lot of set pieces and penalties needed for us to score.

Having said that the 2 games Sesko started against Palace and Newcastle were as bad.

No, he's managed Sesko well. Sesko hasn't really had a good game when he's started for us, he has a far bigger impact off the bench.

Anyway, Cunha I think will overtake Mbeumo as signing of the season for us. Joy to watch.
You got that from his one start under Carrick? The game that started his scoring run was vs Burnley where he started and scored two.

Agreed on Cunha, he's our best forward.

Was really glad we signed him and happy he's starting to show what he's really capable off. Still think he will get even better

Dropping Cunha isn't the call, its dropping Mbuemo whose been weak as hell past few weeks

Or put Mbeumo on the right, where i think he’d play alot better… Him instead of Diallo on the end of some of those attacks would have been goals today.

He scored when he started. Thats his job as a striker

He hasnt had a chance to start since then and our other option doesnt even get in the box. He's been held back when hes been one of the most in form strikers in the league
You can't just ignore his games under Amorim. He's been held back because it's where he's been most effective.

No, in general since he's been here.

Carrick obviously has a reason for not starting him, because he's missing something he wants from his starting striker. As a result we've played better and he's able to have a bigger impact from the bench. I don't think Carrick would be not starting a player with a goal per mins ratio as good as his, if there wasn't something missing.

Best player tonight. Shame he was the player sacrificed after the red because he looked a real threat and still might've caused some problems

He missed preseason so took longer to get going than the rest. Then he hit form. Thats when you play him

Carrick wants to play 3 non strikers instead of 2 and 1 striker. Thats it

If you're always putting yourself in a position where you need to put Sesko on to break the deadlock it's not really going really well, is it?

He’s played very well last couple games. Happy to admit I was wrong about him if he keeps it up
Really impressed with the change in his game. It's gone from 'does he know he has teammates? This isn't an anime' to 'teammates should be getting on the end of that!'

Better still, he doesn't complain when others feck up, and he happily works off the ball and tracks back

He's gone from head down and run to comfortably our most rounded and balanced attacker. He also looks the least likely to be directly upgraded upon, although I do wonder what happens if Dorgu returns in the form he had before the injury as Cunha should be in the xi on merit over Mbeumo or Amad off of performances in 2026.

Happy for him and glad his 180 makes my initial comments redundant.

Superb last night. Wasn't totally convinced by him earlier in the season but now I'm putting that down to him getting used to his new teammates and being one of many to struggle with Amorim's methods. Since then he's been very good and really stepped up as Mbuemo and Amad's form has dropped off.

Really coming into his own now, such a special talent but backs it up with hard work too.

He's playing really well last couple of months now, after what was pretty poor start of the season for him, IMO. Especially if you count that he is basically without any support from the left side from Shaw, and that Cunha is involved a lot defensively too.

He needs Dorgu to run up and down non stop, it must be really difficult playing with Shaw when it comes to attack.

Funny he's been much, much better since he stopped carrying the ball in midfield (what was supposed to be his biggest strength). He has surprised me how good he is in more of a traditional left winger role.

He was our best player yesterday, had their RB on toast all match, so much so that they had to sub him off. Everything we created came from him yesterday, really coming into his own and carrying us in the 2nd half of the season.

Point is that from the start, he has not impacted the games in the manner he has patently done so when coming on after 55/60 mins or so. Whether I agree or not is irrelevant - personally, I want to see more of him and believe that he actually merits the extra minutes over Mbeumo and Amad. What I believe is that Carrick sees the value in Šeško being used later, when it has worked. The results speak for themselves, so Carrick probably feels rolling with it is the best way.

Feels like it took him a few games to find a way to be effective on the left, but now he is in really good form.

I like pretty much everything about him. Technical quality, work rate, attitude, physicality. Of course, his output could be better, but he's also the kind of player that might have a decisive action earlier in the move rather than the assist or goal.

I wonder if they'll try Dorgu at left back when he's fit...would give us a whole new dimension, imagine having a powerful left back who can beat his man for pace and stick it in the top corner.

Thought he was our best player yesterday. Faded a fair bit later in the second half but good game.

Agreed, he's been one of our biggest difference makers for weeks now.

He has stepped up when we've needed him in the last couple of games. With Mbeumo's recent drop-off in form, it has been a huge relief to see Cunha take the mantle as our most reliable attacking outlet currently. I love the way he breezes past defenders with such ease, and isn't afraid to go round the outside of his full back and whip a dangerous cross in with his weaker foot. He's not shy of a battle when we need him to do the dirty work either. Proper Brazilian footballer.

Have been mostly underwhelmed by him but he has certainly stepped it up a level in recent games , hopefully that is a sign he has acclimatized to playing for Utd and will turn out to be a very good signing.

Cunha on that pass he did to Viny saying he is learning from the best.

Apparently played in midfield for Brazil and was superb vs Croatia.

His position under Amorim is absolutely perfect for him. We need to make that happen in a 433.

Don't know if it's as a #10 (probs not given Bruno), CF / false 9 (maybe) or drifting in from LW with an overlapping FB.

Yeah I think it could work. Both him and Bruno work exceptionally hard off the ball. Stick say Anderson behind them, and someone like Hall at LB.

Not saying for every single game, but against some sides something like this could be sexy.

Lammens
Maz - Yoro - de Ligt - Hall
Bruno - Anderson - Cunha
Mbeumo - Sesko - Dorgu

Man Utd 1:2 Leeds United New
Decent player but makes me miss the Rashford/Martial days sometimes. Dorgu needs to be back soon to offer something else on the left.

At least he tries to make something happen and his some fight in him. Wish all the players would want it as bad.
