Absolutely. He's been brilliant this season and he was our MOTM today. He's only 26 and just entering his prime as a CB. I can see him as our future captain once Bruno leaves the club.
Unlucky with the deflection but was fantastic throughout. Having a great season and I'm so glad he got to shut Richarlison up after having him pocketed all game.
Voted him motm, but at the same time he can't be letting Tel turn in that position!

I don't get the call for him to be made captain, it's really unnecessary, he is already a leader without the armband, and as long as Bruno is here then he won't made captain, let's not get into any captaincy drama, he is doing well as it is and I can see it being sustainable for him let's not mess with that.

When you have successful teams you have 3,4,5 players who have real leadership. That’s where we want to get to. Happy he’s here, clearly we need no change in Captain. Bruno is very popular with the players. There’s no call for it except from some knee jerk fans.

The only question with him is his fitness record. He's a top class player with the right mentality, captain in-waiting.
I am loving him this year BUT... Maguire in the middle and him to the side is night and day to when Maguire is missing. Nothing wrong with that though!!

Playing one game a week is by far the biggest factor here.
He was outstanding but probably should have been tighter to his man for the goal. Didn’t think Tel had that in him to be honest though.
Selected for Orange this time. Well deserved given his run of form.
Would have been a travesty if that Tel goal cost us the game. His performance deserved that goal. Fantastic throughout.

Barry set a record in the premier league with 14 aerials won before coming off on 81 mins. De Ligt did win joint most of our CBs with 5 with Yoro, but clearly Barry won far too many longballs and De Ligt was our senior CB who is strongest in the air. Also mishit possibly the best chance we had

It will be Martinez if fit. Thought it could be Yoro but he seems so afraid these days. Can't string a pass together. DeLigt will be fine. He is the least of our worries in defense.
I thought his second half was quite good defensively although not so good on the ball. Picked him for motm but I guess it was not much competition this time.
He needs to step up and organize his teammates more. He was Ajax captain at 19, surely leadership is his thing? Ive seen Maguire giving more command than him.

An average defender who is always prone to laughable mistakes.
A bit better in the second half but he was all over the place in the first half.

He's been one of our best players this season, sure you're in the right thread?
He is too slow and not mobile enough. It is a shame as his mentality and character probably is exactly what we wish for and he oozes authority more than anyone else what would make him a good captain. For me he is a very good option when defending a win but not a starter in the long run.
My goodness. One bad half, in which the slip probably led us to the goal, and didn’t. Kept Mateta quiet for most of the second half, and on top of this, he’s one of our best performers this season.
I have been saying that for a long time even when he had a good game. I give him credit for what he is but I don't think that he fits into the idea of a mobile CB who could step into the midfield and up the tempo. He is a similar player to Maguire - which is not bad at all, just not what will get us to the top.
