Di Matteo didn't win the League.
He absolutely fluked the CL.
Maybe, it's an Italian thing, I've it heard said that Italian sides don't all out to rack up the score when it's not necessary.
With their second best player playing in a position he will never be good at, while they miss out on Champions League football and probably lose their two best players in the summer? Were you that generous with Mourinho? Pep wanted rid of Samir Nasri and Bacary Sagna, Sarri can't find a place for N'golo fecking Kante.
I think he'll jump before he's pushed.
Remember when Sarriball was going to come in and dominate the Prem. LMAO!
The game needed more pointless short passes from Jorginho IMO
Zola looked well confused at the end there when Sarri walked down the tunnel.
What did he do?
It is completely incomprehensible.
Fantastic player but played completely out of position.
And lose the well known Chelsea payoff...
It's to football managers what being picked to fight Mayweather was to boxers. You know the end result but make yourself financially secure for life.
Poor from him at full time. Childish.
He's going to get sacked, and he will never manage a top side ever again.
Chelsea's last four games:
If things continue, they'll trash Malmo 7:0 in the Europa League, just in time for us to win 8:0 in the FA Cup.
Yes, I'm well aware. I missed a word out.
And if someone as utterly feckless as Di Matteo can do that then you think this Chelsea team wouldn't go on a run under Zola? Hazard has shown plenty of times when he fancies it he's a one man team. If a manager lets Chelsea play to their natural defensive instincts they're more than capable of putting together a lot of points.
I've always believed Chelsea's best chance of playing in the champions league next season was through the Europa League.
Kanye will do fine eventually but it will take time. Again people were saying Pep should not play Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva shouldn't play together when Manchester City were conceding counter attack after counter attack through the centre. What made them better was their improved positioning and better understanding of Pepeople Guardiola's tactics.
It's a good system his acolytes said, we know that because he did decent with Napoli that one time! For some reason, he's been mistaken as the successor to 1990s LVG without any of the substance.
Who do they get in? No obvious choice out there as we know ourselves.
Think they should go for Lamps with JT as assistant. Dream ticket
This is true, Chelsea just don't have the players to play a possession based football. Their squad is not great, and they have not spent well in the transfer market recently.
It can't be applied in one season without the players suiting the style. Tixxi was hiring for pep 4 years prior to him arriving and having spent 700m in the process.
There's a hell of a difference between playing two attacking players in their natural positions and leaving yourself exposed and playing a defensive player out of position leaving yourself exposed. If Pep had been playing Silva at the base of a 3 and Fernandino as a right winger then he'd have come in for a lot more stick.
Hope they keep him. Wouldn't mind a cheeky bid for Kante.
Waiting for his post match Italian rant coming up.
Eh what ? Kante will never, ever be a good attacking player whatever any manager try him there, because he doesn't have the abilities or the talent for that.
Playing Kante in that role is no different than playing Pogba as number 6.
Would love to see him and Herrera behind Pogba, we'd be so dangerous on the break.
Again, the media up and even posters here were saying it in first Peps season and now they have kept quiet.
Jorghino is not a Silva player and he isn't a #8. Busquets would struggle in this team as well as he had almost an identical problem at Barcelona.
Yeah, their system should be 4231.
Jose vs Conte comes to mind.
Van Gaal didn't think so. Litmanen excelled playing position play in the forward pointing middle three.
People act like Sarri reinvented the wheel. His tactics are sophisticated but not revolutionary. Now he's looking like he's lost the dressing room too.
Can't wait for the post-match drama .
"Sono stanco, Robbie."
They should appoint Mourinho again to raise the spirits.
heh heh heh
Did he do a post-match interview yet?
Who is applying it to one season? I've got two decades to look at. There is nothing special about Sarri ball. Guardiola is one of the best managers in the modern game, comparing the two is ludicrous.
Hazard did say he wanted to work with Jose again.
I've been trying to google it as I didn't listen to the game, this is Chelsea's biggest PL defeat right?
Was looking through the top 6 losses and all clubs have an embarrassing defeat like that, City with 2 of the wins.
He'll probably have the team in the dressing room for a few hours yet!
I would not be surprised to see Zola giving the post match interview.
Again, there's a difference between not agreeing with a managers tactical system and not agreeing with where he puts his players. Jorghino isn't Silva, but he offers about as much defensive protection as him. Kante is never going to be that attacking wide midfielder. So either Sarri changes his system to fit in his second best player or he keeps losing.
Chelsea's next 50 matches are Malmo, Us, Malmo and City. If they don't sort it out there's a chance they could keep this weird run going and end up losing 10-0 to City.
Bad loser there, I'm not sure if they have any history but come on you've got to shake the other managers hand.
Separate names with a comma.
