The height the guy gets on the tackle is ridiculous. Not sure a three match ban would be sufficient, given the intent. Was 21-year-old Marathon player André Orellana in a match against Olimpia in Honduras for the detail obsessives.

Jesus.
That'd warrant him missing a third of the season or something of that order. Plus a hefty fine.

- Never a red
- Got the ball
- Game's gone soft
- Touched the ball first
- Brexit tackle
- Hardly touched him

That last angle that shows the ref reaching for his back pocket before matey even hits the ground is top notch.

Not applauding the tackle but can you imagine any of our current crop of players having the desire to win possession by launching into a tackle like that? I think not.

A ludicrous tackle, but not nearly as dangerous as many we've seen over the years, as by the time he comes down from the air he's quite low.

When you see proper 2 footed studs up high ones at much higher pace, those are the killer fouls.

If that were a Liverpool player, the world would have collectively sneezed, missing the whole thing.

The player on the receiving end was lucky that he just got his foot off the ground in time. If that was 100% planted his career could be over.

This one comes to mind:

Honestly one of the most violent tackles the PL ever seen. And Henry got a yellow for it.

VAR have asked the ref to have a look again. The player might have been offside before receiving the ball.

Was clearly going for the ball
He certainly tried to run away with it after! Did he really thinks he's get to play on?

This has nothing to do with desire, and there is no way it would be good to see a United player do something like that. The correct reaction would be to think it's needless violence that does the team a disservice by reducing it to 10 because of the certain red card.

This was either my 2nd or 3rd ever game I saw live.
Footage is very grainy, but clear enough to see at 25or so seconds the worst ever attempt at a challenge.

Literally a sprinting 2 footed jump!

The amazing thing is it was only a 2nd yellow, the opponent just got up and walked away and the commentator billed it as a "very silly movement". Amazing.
