If we can win playing poorly, then what will we be like if we play well?
What I would say is that defensively we seem a lot better, and Carrick seems to have instilled a never say die attitude, where everyone is working towards a common goal ie. winning. Brentford are a very good side, and were clever in isolating Heaven with Thiago 1 to 1, but credit the young man, he was caught out several times, but recovered to get in tackles.
I would also say that if Mbeumo and Amad had been on form, we would possibly have scored more goals in those matches, we do waste good opportunities quite often, take Amad's miss against Brentford, when we could have been 3-0 up early on if chances had been taken.
I take your point though, overall performances have been not great, but winning is good.
Why people hark on about the Brentford game you'd think we didn't make to many chances, we had one cleared off the line and a really good save by Kellerher and scored 2 in the 1st half we could have scored 3 or 4 goals, we also had more xG and more open play xG for the stat nerds.
I maintain we should have also had a penalty for the foul on Mainoo before Amad missed the chances too
