This fella, Konate, Dumfries... It's as if Madrid are trying to put together the fastest but most brainless backline possible in one transfer window.

I think Konate is copping a lot of flak here. There's context to his season. He's recently talked about it. Along with Upamecano he was one of the most promising centre backs in Europe when they were at RB Leipzig. I think he'll be very good for Madrid. And with Van de Ven, so many people saying he's a shite defender. I mean, come on, he's a starter for his NT, and he's been linked to United, Liverpool, and now Real Madrid. Do people think all those clubs and his NT think his pace alone is worth it despite him being shite in every other respect? Come on.
 
I think it really is depens on what the clubs want from him as a player. If any club that play highline and need speed to sweep up fast counter then he is a very good prospect. Beside, he can play also LB. We just need to look at Walker and see what attributes he can provide. The guy is not a complete disaster like people want to point out. He would be an interesting LB if Hall is not coming.

There are opportunities for the club to scour through the players that has their stock low for now (for various circumstances) but has what we are looking for and that would represent a good deal.

He’s obviously not shit but he’s still got many an individual mistake in him. If Mourinho can iron those out or reduce them to a minimum then he will have a good defender. But last season he was a jitterbug

Btw when i saw the so-called beat young CB pairing get absolutely battered at OT it made me think twice about them both

Yeah probably why he’s linked to United, Liverpool and Real. Seems very likely the only reason at all.
