It's not exactly brand new information, but it goes to show, statistically, how much we miss Pogba and creativity from midfield compared to our rivals.

Fair enough. It is notable Liverpool have more than 10 assists between Robertson and TAA, and 3 goals from VVD. Their defenders contribute the numbers a midfield should.

Their fullbacks make up for the lack of creativity from central midfield.

I don't like the assist stat as it is based on other players finishing their chances.

Fred should have had 2 assists against City. This would have brought it to 10.

Liverpool might only be higher because they have more consistent finishers.

Also, quite a few of those teams have had their stats predominantly made up from their attacking midfielders. We do not currently have one.

Get an attacking midfielder, and more consistent finisher, and the stats would be pretty even.
