My dad's an Arsenal supporter and it used to be fun slagging him off when they lost but nowadays his sad little dissapointed old man face just makes me feel bad. :(

Useless pricks couldn't deliver even a one-off season back in the CL.

Their squad just isn’t good enough and Arteta has taken them to their limit.
We have players with quality, technique, pace a vision up front. Under arteta they look like headless chickens most of the time. A good manager would have us create chances against teams like this newcastle.

The squad isn't good enough is just a cop out for arteta fans.

I genuinely don't know what Arsenal or their fans see in him.
It would make a lot more sense if it was Vieira doing this, attachment to the club legend and all that but Arteta was an alright player in the peak Wenger banter years.

It's so so odd. It's would be like Christensen coming back to manage us in ten years.

Nonsense.
It's an average squad for where they are in the league.

Partey and Tierney injuries hurt them massively given Eleney does his best but is very average and Tavares is a joke.

Holding back up CB and imploded v a world class forward last week.

Pepe and Lacazette both leaving and those were their apparent game turning options off the bench.

Rest of bench was just kids.

He did say squad rather than first 11. If you think Rob Holding, Cedric, Taveres, Elneny, Pepe and Lacazette are all brilliant with pace, technique and quality then fair enough.

They insist he's their club legend, even though he was better for Everton imo.

Hope he doesn't say what he wants to say otherwise it's a 6 month ban :lol:
If he does, he should just blurt out what he wanted to say after the Spurs game and get suspended for the whole of next season. Might work out well for Arsenal.

Arteta has had plenty of time and money to get a system going, and if he was anywhere near as good as people said he is, 4th place should have been a lock.

As for the weak squad, offset by the fact that Arsenal has played one game a week for half the season now.

I specifically said up front. This squad is more than good enough to not collapse like this and lose 4 matches against much much worse teams when it really mattered. No excuses, he fecked up and he can't bring out the best in the players he has.

Thought we would be around 7th at the start of the season. However, to get ourselves in such a good position for top 4 and collapse is very disappointing.

The last nine games have been unacceptable. To give him a new contract before the end of the season was a disgraceful decision as well.

Have to say levy did a good job in bringing in Conte. They spent big money on Conte and few reinforcements in January and get the money back by claiming top 4 almost certainly.

Otherwise arteta will have top 4 in his pocket. Now they have to cope with europa and that will be real test to his ability and arsenal squad. I thought when they won against us they almost guaranteed for top 4. Spurs game really rattled them.

So at best he’ll manage a fecking miserable 69 points.
And some (including ballbag) were trying to convince the World he’s done a top job.
Emery managed 70 points in his final season :lol:

Actually annoys me seeing Arsenal act like such a nothing club, sack the fecking loser already.
What final season, he only had 1 season?

He has spent over £200m and even after that if the squad is average then questions have to be asked to him, don't you think.

Celebrated too early, was it against wolves? They were hugging and jumping on each other like they won the league. L

Tomiyasu -> Soares
Tierney -> Tavares
Partey -> El Neny

The drop off in quality is too great. A fair criticism of Arteta is that it was his choice to have such a small squad in the second half of the season. We shifted out:

Chambers
Mari
Kolasinac
Maitland-Niles
Aubameyang

Auba is a special case, but all of the others are squad and bench players in their mid 20s. They could have played off the bench or against lower level teams and given our best players a breather. We’ve rinsed the same players in a squad that we intentionally made smaller.

Through the entire first half his CBs did everything to sent him a signal that they were exposed, midfield was not defending well and Newcastle had a lot of spaces in the wings. But he did nothing. Just sent a winger in and other out.

Will never get a better chance

Spurs been poor throughout the season and United have been awful all whilst Arsenal have had no European football to deal with.

Really really poor
