Yeah it's fairly quiet. I still reckon we'd be better off as a group of ~5 joining a populated server as a group and making a base/town together or something.

Have you thought about making a bedrock server? Xbox/PS4/Switch users could connect then .

Then again I do have a PC I use as a console.

If you start a "hell world" where there are like loads more mob spawning and stuff I'd definitely join for that. Maybe you can do it so that, after we build a giant diamond/other block portal it can connect to your current world...

Dunno what plug ins you have

Red Card for Casemiro!
Anyone still playing btw? :)
I haven’t spent as much time there lately, but I haven’t seen anyone in days.
My laptop finally died on me, I'm now waiting for the Nvidia 3070 and my next month's paycheck to build a gaming rig. :P

Also, I'm pretty sure I got my tagline from a mod here (no one else knows my handle 'darthbhyrava') so thanks for that! Took me 7 years to get one, I knew better than to ask for one.

Oh, I won’t take credit for that – it wasn’t me and I don’t know anything about it :)

Is nobody on anymore?
I had logged on a few days back, made myself a beacon etc. It's a bit depressing to play in a multiplayer world all by myself, somehow more so than to do it in a single-player world! :)

If you're going to play, it's going to be more fun, at least, I still have a few ideas on what to do.

So far I've done a skeleton farm and a guardian farm (it was such a pain in the ass to make), all are obviously free to use them.

I could pop back on, maybe get the missus in on it again, but we definitely need more active players. Back in the peak days of Cafcraft we would have 6 or so folks on most nights and it was great

The end is also open, so you can all get elytras, the only issue is that I don’t have a steady supply of gunpowder for rockets.

Go to the nether (though the community portal), go straight to the right – there's going to be a path up, then go forward and right (there's going to be a sign "to the nether fortress" or something like this), the path is going to end in a big open space, when you'll go down and go towards your right, you'll see 2 portals – one on an island and a second one below. Go into the one below that's made our of prismarine. Sounds complicated, but it shouldn't be :)

The overworld coordinates are
-3377 / -3940

Cheers.

I was thinking of making an ender farm but I haven't made one since endermites were introduced. I want to give it a go but the only snag is you need a fair few ender pearls to even spawn the bastards! Might just go with a small old style one to start with until I have enough pearls.

The end can be accessed from the same road in the Nether – but instead of turning right “to the nether fortress”, turn left (I think there’s a sign “to the end” or something like this).

Yeah that's mine.

Cheers for the stuff, It's too much! If you need anything let me know.
Not sure if you still play, but seeing as you're the only one still somehow active in the thread, I'll keep you updated on the farms.

There's now an insanely productive gold/xp farm on the Nether roof – go to the Nether portal in the air above my underwater base, once you're in the Nether, you'll see where to go :)

I'll need to set up a filtration system as there's literally hundreds of golden swords and thousands of rotten flash generating that I have to burn manually (otherwise you'll never get enough inventory space).

They've just announced that 1.17 is going to be a huge cave update.

@Vidic_In_Moscow can you start a 1.16.2 server?

Reason being - I have set up my PC as basically a PC-Console, and have set up Minecraft Java Edition with the Lambda Controlls Mod on 1.16.2 so I'm actually playing Java edition Minecraft again! From the comfort of my couch instead of sitting in front of a monitor (like I do all day at work)

To be fair it doesn't need to be 1.16.2, Lambda Controls will be supported on older versions... but let me know. Let's start a new server!

I love Minecraft but I don’t like playing survivor mode. I’m a fan of creative only. I’m currently working on making my own city. I’d love it if they’d bring out official updates to add stuff like furniture, TVs, cookers, more wallpaper type blocks. Smaller blocks and different shapes blocks would be awesome. For example if love to make a football stadium but having the blocks for the goalposts the same scale as the building blocks just isn’t great

Are you bedrock or java

Bedrock has loads of item mod-packs you have to pay for

Or Java has mods that you dont have to pay for, but are probably more finicky

I want to like Minecraft, I always have grand plans then build a small house, get bored of mining and give up.

I once played quite a lot of Skyblock, that was good fun

I’m pretty sure that the server is on 1.16.2 at the moment, the thread title is misleading.

ohh.

Anyone still on?

Can we do a server reset on a skyblock world to encourage people to play?

Let's get one.

Or if we have multiverse installed (or even if not), let's do it so that when we get past the end... we respawn back in the current caf server world.

So if we can get 5+ people on, put the server onto a skyblock world, get to the nether, get to the end and then back to your current CAF server

Is that a thing? Although why am I surprised, there should be a Rule 34.2 with Minecraft instead of porn.

Well, multiverse is a thing yes. Although there are countless versions of it, and countless versions like it

But even if we, for whatever reason, don't wan/can't do multiverse, we could just play skyblock until we get past the end, and then swap the world back for the current one.

Thanks, I downloaded that furniture: modern as it looks great. Only to find out you have to use it in the world they created. Doh!
I’m too far along in my build to give it up and start again
Ah sorry my dude.

I didnt know that. Do you really?

Thats crazy

Yeah it includes it’s own city. It’s actually in the instructions which I should have read.

I wish creators or the company themselves would just bring out better texture packs with specific stuff or include them as part of a bigger update since there’s only space for applying limited texture resources

I'd be up for a collective skyblock adventure up to killing the dragon – I have a feeling that the set goal would motivate players to stay until it's reached. Plus, I've never played skyblock.

Is the Nether generates in full once you go through a portal?

Yeah I hope so!

Depends what version you have.

I'd be up for that, although I've never played a non modded skyblock before.

I still think you'll get the same problem though; a relative hive of activity for the first couple of weeks or so, followed by weeks of logging on to the server without seeing another living soul!

I think we just don't have the volume of players to keep it active, which is a shame. The closest we had was back in the second(?) reset of the server back in 1.2.1 where we had a proper little town with community buildings and a fair few regular players.
