So the evidence is a tweet about a different player?

The twins played in the exact same Cameroonian team as Gueke for years, there's hundreds of photos of them playing together. It's unbelievably naive of anyone to think that just Gueke faked his age and not the other two.

Not to mention the fact they're obviously not actually twins. They look completely different, have completely different body types & one is a Muslim and the other a Christian..

There's also a photo where Bassirou Nkoto has the surname 'Mba' underneath him but that's been deleted now.

See that would be closer to actual evidence. Even better if you actually showed any of it of course.

To be fair to @Gungerz he has actually provided evidence on this forum of his claim, he’s also one of the most knowledgeable / positive posters about our youth teams on the forum. His word on this should be taken seriously because he wouldn’t say this if he wasn’t absolutely certain without fairly compelling evidence, which he did provide and I am happy to root it out for you if you still need convincing.

Full squad:

Josep Camacho (GK)
Joseph Songolo
Joseph Akinsanya
Jaice Dore
Ben Lyne
Estan Chisnall-Devent
Jack Waters
Eddie Wright
Mane Soares
Jasper Mantato

Is number 17 Mane Soares? Not much going round of him on video or who we've signed him from but from what I have seen he looks to be a decent finisher, has very nice close control, good dribbling skills and seems quite unselfish too.

Yes.

Any intel on how that Anderlecht side was in terms of age/talent? We fielded a fairly strong, if quite young eleven, with Mantato, Biancheri, Kamason, Kukonki, Fizgerald, both Fletchers.
FotMob has us at average of 18.5 years and then at 18.6.

They play in the Belgian second division though and a couple have made their debuts for their first team. One has nearly 100 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig and played for the national Turkey team but is only 19 still.

I think that was the difference, our side plays youth football where results don’t matter. They were playing senior football where you try to win, their intensity was way higher. If you try to play a training match against a side who are there to win, then you’ll get steamrolled over.

Our CBs in particular were quite bad. Kukonki, Mills, Armer, all too slow and too weak or in Kukonki’s case just positionally all over the place.

Saw most of the first half. Although we dominated the last 5 minutes and Devaney headed a great goal, we were very lucky not to be behind.

I must admit that in all games I've seen Kukonki playing as CB he's all over the place, and I don't think he's a LB either.
Armer is a good player, reads the game well and is very tidy with the ball, but he's way too slow.

Yea I agree. I’ve never been particularly impressed with Kukonki. As you say, Armer is a very nice footballer, does a lot of things well, but it all goes to waste when he is just beaten for pace or strength at the final moment. The same of Mills last night, he read situations great at times but when it came to make the tackle he was just brushed aside.

I can’t remember if it was a former pro or a scout who said it but I remember reading someone say about modern academy CBs, you can watch them for a whole match and they’ll never make a tackle. I think it’s been the case for our CBs coming through for a while now. Very good on the ball, some even read the game well, but sometimes you just need to smash through someone and make a tackle and it’s completely absent from academy football in England.

I'd agree on Armer/Mills both of them struggle with pace and physicality, Armer is very good on the ball, you could see the improvement when he came on vs Kukonki, who was struggling to make any passes into midfield.

How do you rate the newer batch in the U18s, Watson/Rafe/Ngwashi? They all seem like better all round players to me but don't have the physicality for CB besides Ngwashi, who mysteriously plays very little given how highly he's rated.

Obi?

Where is he?...

Thanks for background and perspective!

United's U12s will be in Ypres next week for the Premier League Christmas Truce Tournament. They have been placed in a group with Arsenal, Derby, Brighton, Strasbourg & Anderlecht.

They were incredibly unlucky at the qualifying tournament, winning 3 & drawing 1 but missing out on qualification by just a single goal. However, the Premier League selected United as having one of the two best educations projects around the Christmas Truce (https://www.manutd.com/en/news/deta...e-to-those-lost-in-war-with-trafford-veterans) and they earned qualification via that route.

The other best education project was deemed to be Brighton's, which you may well have seen in the news recently.

Yes, it is strange about Ngwashi. He was being integrated with the u-18 towards the end of last year but seems to have disappeared this season.

Is Munro injured? he's also been missing

Has to be injuries. Ngwashi was wanted by lot of clubs, maybe that is an issue ?
