Despite being the OP of this thread I've never watched this. Going to start now.

Watched the first season last night, enjoyed it. The woman who played Sally is fit, reminds me of Ellie Kemper.

The first season is mint, the second season not so much but still very good, the 3rd season quite meh. Haven't watched the fourth.

I caught up to Season 3, disappointed that Sheehan left. Watched the first episode of the third season and decided not to continue. Just read about it on Wikipedia instead. I see here people say Rudy grows into it but it was all about Nathan and the group dynamic for me. Seems now there's no original one left.

We all thought that tbf Sol, Nathan was the life an soul, but once you give Rudy a chance he's alright. He fulfils the role well enough. You say there was a group dynamic but there isn't really. Sheenan was always the star, Curtis was always dull & the fit girl was always meh. Kelly comes into her own a bit in the 3rd too.

Joe Gilgun is an excellent actor, which if you've seen This Is England you'll know..You just need to take the Sheenan-tinted glasses you inevitably get from the first 2 series off and it'll be ok. It takes a couple of eps but it happens.

If you read through the thread you'll see almost everyone said the same thing Re:Sheenan leaveing. Series 3's actually alright. Better than a lot of shit on TV at any rate, and worth a gander. It also concludes the story-line somewhat.

Nothing's as good as 1 though. And nothing beats "If I was mentally deficient, I would've missed" as a line.

That said, I haven't watched the new series, because it's apparently a completely new cast, so I'm a hypocrite and I can't be fecked. It's a 4OD jobby at some, low, bored point in my life.

Really enjoyed the first 3 seasons. This season has a completely new cast to the original and I think they've made it a bit too "dark". There just isn't the same chemistry as there was at the beginning and its not as enjoyable.

Having said that I still watch it because once I start something I have to finish it and its too late for me to just stop watching misfits now. I'm not saying its shit now, but its just not the same.

Is this new season worth watching then? Not sure why I've made no attempt to watch this yet.

It's nothing like any of the previous 3 series, there's no real chemistry and it just feels forced. They've completely taken out the fun that used to be there and made it much darker.

Ahh shame. May go for it anyway if only for Rudy.

Rudy's probably the only decent thing about the show now, but then even he's just the same old same. I'd say I'm losing interest with the show but as I said earlier ill still watch it, I'm too far in to just give up now.

I wasn't sure if I would continue with it after Curtis left, but I watched it last night and did have a few giggles. I suppose if we hadn't been spoilt by the other series you would say it had promise.

Months on, but am finally catching up with episodes I recorded.

And the one where Curtis exits was cut off before the end, which didn't go down well.

It just got past the bit where he killed Lola.

Please tell me what happened.

I just started watching this TV Show. Watched only the first episode and I must say it was the craziest and funniest episode in any TV show I have ever watched. Fantastic really. I am not familiar that much to British TV but from what little I have seen of it, I think that it is way more funnier than American. Really it was quality.

Watching MisFits (well actually, binge-watching it) in lieu of the football season finally starting. Discovered it originally, off the back of the Cassidy (and Ruth Negga) character(s) from Preacher. From remarks in the Preacher ComicCon2016 table read/Q&A YT vids.

It's bloody weird trying to work out how they might have positioned this in the first place! Can't decide if it's a kids show for adults or an adults show that has kids' appeal? It's like a sexed-up, grown-up, honest version of Grange Hill (anyone who thinks this dates me be aware I originally had Biker Grove here) on some seriously expensive amphetamines … but somehow it manages to remain cheap and totally accessible, strangely from either view-point.

Just started S3: really liked the Nathan character, but, enter Cassidy … now things will definitely liven up!

So this just arrived (or returned) on Netflix.
Binge watching this - seen the first two and a half seasons. Nathan kinda just disappears after season 2 and they make one mention that hes gone to vegas?
I do think Nathan kinda held it altogether but will see how season 3 goes with Rudy.

I was determined not to like Rudy. But he’s great. Brilliant in Brassic too.

There’s a webisode called Vegas Baby with Nathan in Vegas and shows what happens to him.

Tbf to Joe Gilgun he did a decent job of replacing Robert Sheehan. Was a tough task but he’s brilliant in his own way too.

His new power was magic so he went to Vegas and was scamming the casinos but got caught and was sent to jail.
That actually sounds familiar...was it shown on C4?

I always thought Robert Sheehan and Iwan Rheon were brilliant, it's good to see they've both gone on to achieve some good success after the show.

Ah will need to see if i can find it. Shame its not part of the netflix purchases (they showed the christmas episode as episode 7 of season 2).

So far I think my fav episode has been either the Milk episode or S1 in general.

Robert Sheehan seems to play the same role in everything but it's a brilliant role.

Can't believe this show is over a decade old. Where's the time gone.

Nathan is one of my favourite characters and luckily you can see American Nathan in The Umbrella Academy.

Rudy takes some time to get used to (especially after losing Nathan and the obvious comparisons) but his wackiness has a little charm.

It is quite funny what happens with the probation workers and the way they deal with it.

Also quite interesting watching this now, but seeing all the people who had cameos who went on to different shows / movies (like Missandei GoT, Hunter AoS, etc)

Finally finished this. S4 was kinda hard to get into, I dont know why. but I really enjoyed s5. It had none of the original cast but I actually enjoyed the overall dynamic of the cast for the final season.

The last episode was great and played into the future wooly jumpers and still had good endings. Was nicely done.

The final probation worker was a madman.

Don’t really remember much after Nathan. Not sure if I watched.
If you havent, id recommend it. The last season is really good.
Nathan was great first couple of seasons but Rudy after getting used to, becomes a good character (and its odd to think he was there longer than Nathan).

I think they transitioned away from the original cast well (thinking about it, some of the replacements were much more intriguing than the original)

Yeah it's definitely worth watching all the way through. I haven't seen it since the original run but spotted it was on Netflix recently and have been trying to get the other half to watch it.

I don't really get the Nathan love tbh. I'm not his biggest fan so he started to grate by season 2 and it was definitely time for him to go imo.

Totally agree they did a great job refreshing the cast and keeping it interesting. I've a lot of time for John Gielgud though.

I’ve just restarted from the beginning. Genuinely didn’t know anyone’s power. Like a brand new show all over again.
