Mo Salah | PFA Player's Player of the Year

I think this is right. TAA's ability to play balls quickly in transition to Salah was one of the keys to getting him into a lot of dangerous positions. Neither Bradley nor Frimpong are good passers or build up players, which is why Slot keeps putting Szoboszlai there.
It's more than just the quick vertical passes, as those are still coming, it's the synergy. If Salah stayed wide, TAA could move inside and carry enough threat there to force opponents into some tough choices. If Salah cut inside, TAA would push up wide, and the same thing happened

And yes, that is most likely the reason why Slot is playing Bozolai there instead of either of the actual RWBs on the team
But I also suspect that another part of the explanation is that Salah is finally doing what you'd expect a 33-year-old wide forward in a very demanding league to do - decline. He's a freak of nature and takes great care of himself but father time comes for everybody and he has already defied the odds just by lasting this long at an elite level at that position in the PL.
Could be

In part yes, but mostly they're really missing TAA, Mac Allister hasn't been playing particularly well so far, and all that is forcing Salah away from the box while also reducing his options

They're also directing more of their play down the other wing, too

When Mac Allister it's not in the field, they've always suffererd to control the game, no matter how great or in form are the rest of the mids. He helps to be smarter in general and now when he is on, playing badly and in low form, they are playing with less cohesion, intelligence and lacking that extra covering he used to gave them because he is not entirely there and it's getting closer to what is and was playing without him.
Bad timing for them to not have the ginger full fit in all cilinders, because that would have helped Wirtz and Salah, they'll just have to wait for him to recover his best form, for Wirtz to calm down and the team learn how to use him, while Salah we'll have to accostume to this new suit.
If not they'll have to play a more rock n roll style and drop some big names like the ginger.

PD: TAA, for the good and bad, was always an extra bullet that now they are also missing.

Feels great to read this type of drama about another club, as it’s been us too many times over the years.

This is what happens when you hand out mega contracts, and spend crazy money buying other attacking players to shoehorn into a side.

His ego is borderline Ronaldo level. He can't handle being dropped and he will be the last person to accept that he is on the decline. It's going to be fun to watch things implode over the next 12-18 months. Hopefully Saudi refrain from taking him off Liverpool's hands too soon.

Arguably the worst player in the league this season. He looks like a Championship player out there.

His whole "nice guy" thing was always an act too. He has disrespected Mane and Klopp (the guy who made his career at the highest level) several times in the past.

The reason he liked Nunez, Gakpo and Diaz was that he could comfortably be the main man with them. He knows he can't with the likes of Ekitike, Isak and Wirtz who are more naturally gifted Footballers than him. Same reason he didn't like Mane.

Looks like the Salah tormenting the league era is finally coming to an end. Only question now is does he leave in January, or the summer.

Total horseshit from start to finish.

Salah has dropped a level but is still Liverpool’s best option on the right side of attack by some distance. Worst player in the PL?

And his drop off is clearly driven by age and change in the team (especially losing TAA) rather than some bizarre complex about the level of his new teammates, none of whom have shown anything so far at Liverpool to suggest they could get anywhere near the heights Salah hit during his career.

You don't cast a Salah aside either after 10 games or so. It's just ridiculous to do it to a player that Pool owns much of its success in recent years to.

I do think there is a impulsive immature streak in him....a bit of a character flaw, but I wouldn't be surprised he starts to pick up his game again. Hard for that kind of class to go from player of the year to the worst player in the PL, which he in any case is clearly not.

Looks to be finally declining, age and tremendous amount of mileage on his body is showing its signs. I read a stat which said "Mo Salah has produced just 0.04(xG) across his last two games (Arsenal & Newcastle)." He also looks to be slow and not as sharp as he once was.

I always found it odd why Liverpool are looking to spunk £350m on three new attackers this summer but they are gearing for a transition. I guess signs were there in 2nd half of last season whereby he tailed off significantly. Will be interesting how this season progresses as minutes start to add up.

Will toot my own horn but glad it seems to have stuck

He showed signs of decline from Feb onwards last season, has fallen off a cliff this season. He'll be a massive problem for them to solve

He was rubbish overall last night but yeah that goal was ridiculously good.

Very Salah to be honest, even at his peak he could be having a stinker of a game then out of nowhere score a couple of worldies. Will be glad when he's finally gone from the PL.

I hear some Liverpool fans say he should be dropped for Frimpong to play on the right instead. But realistically who's gonna bag you more goals and assists over the course of a season, Salah or Jeremy fking Frimpong?!

Think comments of his value to this Pool team having crashed are a little premature as he demonstrated in the space of a couple of seconds. He was pretty poor otherwise, but that class he showed there is not going away yet.

Pool has bigger problems than Salah. That defense looks very poor. Even with the soft penalty, they were lucky to only concede 3.

Excellent goal, did very little else of note. The commentators acted as though it was going to be immediate goal of the season though... which it wasnt.

Looks like his age might be catching up to him.

Slot won't have the balls to drop him either. We saw him kick off with Klopp after he was dropped the season before last.

His ego could ensure that his time at Liverpool ends messily, similar to how things ended with Ronaldo at United, minus a Piers Morgan interview.
I was on the right lines a couple of months ago. It felt inevitable that Salah wasn't going to quietly accept being benched. His ego has made him go public with criticising the club's treatment of poor old Mo.
