I think this pretty much proves the Ecuador journos and outlets are as rubbish as the Portuguese ones
He’ll be ours for 80m in two years!
fecking Brighton really?
I think it shows that his agent was shopping him around to the PL clubs, started from the top and ended up at Brighton as the first to bite.I think this pretty much proves the Ecuador journos and outlets are as rubbish as the Portuguese ones
Yeah fingers crossed he goes thereIt’s a good move for him. It sounded like he’s a United fan. If he does well we will be front of the queue chequebook in hand. We more than likely would have had to loan him out for a season or 2 anyway and he’s probably going to get plenty of game time at that level of club. Not sure about the multiple owners etc... I’m hoping we do take on a few south american talents and we don’t beat about the bush for months deciding or bow out for whatever reason like we normally do. This is the time to take chances and to grab the bargains.
I still think he could be a future Utd player provided he goes to Brighton so am upbeat about that, shouldn't say this but would be a cut price deal if they end up going down this season but looks unlikely they willJust close this thread it depresses me
Still expecting us to keep an eye on him if he goes to BrightonYeah, nothing but agents at play here with the links to United and then Chelsea.
They wouldn't be able to quote that price for White or Bissouma if they end up going downI can't see that we went in for him then pulled out. Sounds like a standard case of agents hawking him around to see if anything bigger came in. With all the hype though, why not snap him up for 5m and loan him to Brighton? They were quoting clubs 50m for Ben White. Imagine what they'll ask us for if the lad is a hit.
He might lose his spot for Ecuador if he disappears into the Belgium second tier,Going to a belgium 2nd division team?
Clearly not as big of a talent as people are making out then.
If even Brighton don't think he's good enough for them i'm not sure why we should be so upset.
He could but if he does well there everyone will be after him and him being a fan will count for little. And the fee demanded will be big. Don't see why everyone is so happy about him moving to Brighton if he's a big talentI still think he could be a future Utd player provided he goes to Brighton so am upbeat about that, shouldn't say this but would be a cut price deal if they end up going down this season but looks unlikely they will
I hope he told him to practice using his left foot so defenders don’t just show him the inside to negate his attacking prowessTony Valencia might told him to go to relegation side first before joining a big club for more fortunes, just like he did.
I disagree, there's being a fan then saying it's his actual goal to play for United, he says in the interview from a month back that he even wants to go to other European clubs to prepare for United. He could but if he does well there everyone will be after him and him being a fan will count for little. And the fee demanded will be big. Don't see why everyone is so happy about him moving to Brighton if he's a big talent
Yeah, he'd be smart to include a release clause if he's joining a PL club and has ambitions of playing for other big clubs in the future, otherwise he may face a Zaha-esque scenario. We can't sign em all lads. We've got more than our fair share of hot prospects through the door in the last few years and more will likely arrive in the coming years.
And as far as Caicedo is concerned, I wouldn't be surprised if he has a clause in his contract allowing him to join a specific club for a set price in the future.
To be fair, Tony was using left foot before his ankle broke, but I get your point.I hope he told him to practice using his left foot so defenders don’t just show him the inside to negate his attacking prowess
Something not right about any of this.So at this moment he's not even good enough for lowly Brighton and is being loaned to Union Saint-Gilloise (who?!)
Freddy Adu mk II
Answered on the Transfer Window podcast. Because of covid and the new interim Visa rules for non EU players. So at this moment he's not even good enough for lowly Brighton and is being loaned to Union Saint-Gilloise (who?!)

So in other words United have been put off by the agent difficulties which I can totally understandTodays Transfer Window podcast Duncan Castles said Utd pulled out of the deal due to agent difficulties. The deal was £6mil plus 20% sell on clause. Brighton have just hit these difficulties as the agent representing the player isnt the offical agent for the player as registered with the ecuadorian FA.
So still a two horse race at moment between Brighton and Newcastle. If it wasnt for Covid and agent difficulties, castles would expect more clubs to be interested. Top scouts say he has potential to be a top top talent ala Kante at Chelsea.
But if the deal is agreed, does it really matter that much which agent represents him? Clubs agree, player agrees - how can an agent pull the plug?Todays Transfer Window podcast Duncan Castles said Utd pulled out of the deal due to agent difficulties. Yeah all sounds a bit complicated so maybe we were right to pull away from thisBut if the deal is agreed, does it really matter that much which agent represents him? Clubs agree, player agrees - how can an agent pull the plug?
They've pretty much waited their entire lives to write a story about UnitedI think this pretty much proves the Ecuador journos and outlets are as rubbish as the Portuguese ones
It won't be an agent, it will be someone who owns a stake in the player acting as an agent. Remember when Tevez was owned by a sports group? But if the deal is agreed, does it really matter that much which agent represents him? Clubs agree, player agrees - how can an agent pull the plug?
Oh. You mean Caicedo is partially owned by some “agent”? It is a totally different story then.It won't be an agent, it will be someone who owns a stake in the player acting as an agent. Remember when Tevez was owned by a sports group?
What did they do for the 10 years Antonio Valencia was here? They've pretty much waited their entire lives to write a story about United
Don’t think PL rules allow 3rd party ownership hence The rumour over sending him to some Belgian backwaterYeah all sounds a bit complicated so maybe we were right to pull away from this
Yeah that is a weird one to say the least and Vickery has just been on Talksport again bigging him upDon’t think PL rules allow 3rd party ownership hence The rumour over sending him to some Belgian backwater
