Well, the priority for us right now is improving the starting eleven, especially in midfield, where we need three players.
Fyi the starting eleven only needs one more midfield player...

Always said he is more of a Bruno replacement (positionally) than a LWI feel like Rogers is the player you essentially thought you were getting with Mount rather than a long term LW prospect.
The one thing you can say about him if having him always available and never injured would be a big boost to the squad.
Yes think this is an important point people missing regarding rebuild...we need numbers but only one guaranteed to start in midfield...regarding rogers though, people saying we need proper winger...hes very similar to cunha so makes no sense...i think cunhas comfortably the better player tooFyi the starting eleven only needs one more midfield player...
I’m stating that players like Sancho would rather go out on loan than fight for their place and back their ability to be a success at United, too many players recruited in last decade are simply football mercenaries or brittle mentally!Well, the priority for us right now is improving the starting eleven, especially in midfield, where we need three players.
Villa have secured champions league, so Rogers is going to cost a bomb. Splashing out £80m plus for bench players is not what we should be doing right now, when the starting eleven needs work.
Not sure what you are going on about loans. In case you have not noticed, Sancho has been out on loan in the last two seasons. Malacia has been out on loan, Zirkzee was wanted on loan by Serie A clubs, but we wanted to keep him until the summer. Ugarte was wanted by Turkish clubs in January, but again, we chose to keep him due to lack of numbers in CM.
Didn't he just sign a new contract last year? I don't see how Aston Villa will sell him as they probably are not desperate for money after securing Champions League and won Europe League. Rogers is likely to stay due to his price tag is too high.
Yeah if those two paid for his transfer and like you say still got at least two quality midfielders I'm on boardThe one thing you can say about him if having him always available and never injured would be a big boost to the squad.
If proper transfer funds went on midfield and Rashford/Hojlund paid for this guy, I wouldn’t be that disappointed.
There is a lot of be said for robust players in this era. No point signing someone “exciting” who only plays have the games.
Yes Villa fans would be revolting in the streetsYeah, the fans would revolt.
Please Chelsea, buy this guy he's absolutely worth 2 Gittens or 2 Garnachos. 100m is a bargain !Arsenal and. Chelsea need a presence on the left, let them have it out over him.
Why don't you want to sign him then? Please Chelsea, buy this guy he's absolutely worth 2 Gittens or 2 Garnachos. 100m is a bargain !
Arsenal can't compete with the Club World Cup of the Clubs Champions of the World of the USA.
Why don't you want to sign him then?
Yeah I wondered that tooIs his best position even out on the left hand side?
Overrated, overpriced, and overshaved eyebrow. Why don't you want to sign him then?
You read me like a book.He does.
He's pre-emptively saving face if he chooses Chelsea.
Fair enough, that was pretty succinctOverrated, overpriced, and overshaved eyebrow.

Where did BBC say that again? So the BBC who are about as gospel as it comes to transfer news have said that we’re not willing to overpay for Elliott Anderson at £100 million when we’re desperate for midfielders yet we’re apparently willing to overpay for Morgan Rogers at £80 million in a position we already have Cunha and Dorgu in ? I call bollocks on that report.
If Alonso is committed to the same system he had at Leverkusen, it would in theory suit Rogers nicely:He does.

If you think £ 80 million for Rogers is overpaying, then I wonder how long it is since you followed football transfers. I’ve followed football transfers for over 35 years and £80 million for Rogers who plays in a position we have Bruno and Cunha already in and who are both better players so would mean he’d be a squad player is overpaying, Rogers is a good player but if we’re not willing to get drawn into overpaying or a transfer battle for Anderson when midfield is by far our biggest priority then we won’t be for Rogers which is why I called the article bollocks as we don’t have the money to spend £80 million on squad players. If you think £ 80 million for Rogers is overpaying, then I wonder how long it is since you followed football transfers.
You don't even need to look at transfers in the entire league to defend that fee or more. You can simply look at your own club's transfers the last 5-6 years.

...Jason Wilcox can do one. He's lucky to be associated with Manchester United. And he knows it.
He was the one who personally pushed for Zirkzee. Says it all.
