Wait, what!!? How? It’s literally the poster game for not just Nintendo but gaming as a whole!
I've not extensively played any either. I don't like platformers and always found the ones I did play to be a bit cack.

I got a good couple of years out of Ghost Recon Wildlands and still have the DLC to play through. Halo (especially Reach) I still play all these years later god knows how many times I've finished the campaigns and how many hours combined. Pumped hundreds of hours into The Witcher 3, Skyrim and Oblivion. I probably got a hundred hours out of Final Fantasy 7 and Shenmue as well. I think my play time in Baldur's Gate 1+2 and Pillars of Eternity might be well into the hundreds of hours too. Mass Effect 1&2 more than likely 100's of hours considering the length and how many times I played them. I played through ME3 once and never touched the franchise again.

Is Path of Exile better than D3? Might have to try it then. I just dont really trust f2p games somehow. Always play them with one hand on my wallet.

Cool, missed that one. The other 2 were way too addictive.
I liked Jetpac. Ant Attack is the one I usually go back to though. There is a site where they have ported it in javascript so you can play in a browser from pc or mac.

I hammered the old TSR role playing games on the Amiga. Games like pools of darkness.

I had Mass Effect 2 back when I had an Xbox 360 great game

On PC: Medieval total war 2, transport tycoon( which I still play on the phone), battlefield 1942, cities xxl, and pc fútbol / pc calcio, which was something like football manager. Although to be fair I hardly bought any game, so it should be most value for time looking for a keygen
On ps4, plants vs zombies, war thunder, minecraft and rdr2

Football Manager

Been playing the series for over 20 years now and put in 400+ hours a year minimum, for £30 a season it’s incredible value.

I've got unbelievable value out of any Mario Kart game I've ever owned, or anything really where there is a heroin-like addictiveness to shaving microseconds off best times. 1080 Snowboarding was another one that cost me hundreds, if not thousands of hours.

Obviously the Championship Manager series, with 01/02 the pinnacle and then there's the free Microsoft Solitaire game on the play store, which has kept me occupied through every shit I've taken in the last 2/3 years.

Fallout 4. The only game I've completed twice. I just love the atmosphere and the soundtrack.

Anyone else get a bit addicted to 'The Binding of Isaac'? In terms of hours played/money paid ratio that's probably the winner for me.

RDR2 (I was playing it for over 6 months)

and back in the day Rome: Total War I got many, many hours out of.

@mariachi-19 I must have replated San Andreas and IV at least a half dozen times. I only went through Just Cause 2 the once though, I found the world a bit shallow and lonely.

I think @Tarrou makes an excellent shout, the hours/days/years I've wasted on CM0102 are a big tragic.

I grew up playing D2 for years upon years and then D3 for a few. However, I must say PoE is amazing . Though they are both ARPG's, both are quite different. Diablo is more accessible however PoE is just immense once you learn how the skill tree, skills and synergies work. The company behind it has a very interesting and successful business model. There is no P2W even the game is free. You can choose to buy cosmetic items and there are hundreds but not a single one gives any stat or boost to you - it is literally all cosmetic to look different from others.

Most players choose to buy extra stash box pages as like Diablo games, there is sooooo much loot but again it is optional and is really an quality of life purchase. The company has stayed true to thier business model and vowed never to go P2W and it's paid off big time because it has such a following. I myself have purchased items but only because I want to support such a great company. They daily participate in their reddit page and actually listen to thier fans feedback - overall it's a great community.

Of the 120000 reviews on steam, it has a 93% positive rating. Give it a blast if you like ARPG's. You wont be disappointed.

This is easy for me, it's "The Witcher 3", the GOTY edition with the DLCs.
Aside from that one I have to reach back to two from the olden days: vanilla Wow (even though it stole many weeks of my life) and then perhaps more importantly Mechwarrior 4: Mercs. I put A LOT of time in the latter and enjoyed the hell out of it too. Fond memories. Community was cool as hell too.

Dunno really, FM at £30 - yeah I invest time in it, but still feel I'm getting ripped every year.... FM''s been a background game for me for years now, just easy to play windowed at the side. Sure it's got the most lifetime play....

MMORPG - Guild Wars I definitely had over 1000 hours on....

FF7-8-10 all had plenty of play. Not so heavily 9, not sure why, maybe I had other stuff I liked. It's like my preferred of them, but I don't remember even getting near Ozma etc.

Super Meat Boy.
