I reckon he's had a fall out with Perez.

Perez is ruthless

I´ve heard this too from a spanish friend (Real Madrid fan and based in Madrid) on his Facebook account a few minutes ago.
Mourinho is totally "pissed off" with the massive influence from Perez and Valdano.

Fallout with Valdano, no striker available, no protection from attacks from the media... he's just negotiating I suppose.

I can understand Jose if he really wants to leave.

Real Madrid aren't a place for manager who wants his team to play as he sees it.

Not possible to happen with any other manager when Perez is there.

Hope he stays there. Wouldn't want him at a premier league club.

He can be Sir Alex's assistant for a season and then seamlessly take the reins

Edit: forgot to mention, Perez is a tit.

Are the management at Real that useless? (Actually, they are).

Any other club in world football, given Mourinho's track record, would give him the reins, and let him manage the team singlehandedly. They would stick to the finances, running of the non pitch side of things.

I'm constantly baffled at how hell bent the Madrid management are on making the club a laughing stock.

I've posted a couple of the background stories in the Real Madrid thread this week.

Perez has allegedly "put him in his place" so know he knows he's just a coach and not a manager. He's got on the wrong side of the refs. The away grounds are hostile, and Madrid's image (they like to imagine themselves as white swans gliding effortlessly above the fray) is being tarnished and it's apparently all his fault.

He had more fun in the Premier League - we found him more of a laugh than the Italians and Spanish do. He got more respect inside the club at Inter than he gets at Madrid. As far as you can tell, the players like him and are just terrified that they're going to lose another manager - in particular the last resort manager.

This has been obious in the past but given that, why would Mourinho take the job in the first place? They went after him, paid a lot of money to release him from his contract, bought the players he requested (no other manager seems to have had such a luxury) and probably made promises to him about their involvement.

Besides, if he leaves where will he go?

Fratton Park, play up Pompey!
Fergie wins number 19 and retires, Mourinho swans his way into the job.

That would be the dream, well actually no it wouldn't. The dream would be some medical boffins create clones of Ferguson so he can carry on managing the club for the rest of time, then using the same technology bring back Matt Busby to be his number two. Yeah that'll do.

He should leave before Barcelona come over to the Bernabau or else he will lose his home record of not losing a match since 2002.

Mourinho has been undermined and criticised by the idiots at Madrid. They have criticised his team selections and are refusing to let him sign a striker.

Apparently one of the honcho's at Madrid came out and said something along the lines of "why should we sign a number 9 when he had 1 on the bench" after their recent game when Benzema was left out.

He wants the Liverpool job.

It's obvious.
I wouldn't be surprised. if he won the league with Liverpool he would be considered a god. It would suit his ego down to the ground.

This is the thing. You don't put individuals like José Mourinho "in his place". The same goes for Sir Alex and Arsené Wenger, they are not the men to accept such "treatment".

Peréz has done this before, and we all know the results.

Not in Manchester or surrounding areas.
Rory Smith from the Telegraph just tweeted the same article.

Google Chrome will translate the page automatically, albeit quite badly, but you get the jist.

Definitely treated badly, hmmm. Let's see what happens. I'm sure Citeh would have no issue firing Mancini, but Mourinho would know that would put a complete stop on his want to manage United.

Dilemma time Jose...

“United stands for attacking, attractive football
in my honest opinion, Perez is one of the worst things that ever happened to Real
Along with Calderon.

Real's presidents do appear to want to run the show. In the past they have never seemed (or wanted) to know when to step back from the running of the team and leave it to the manager.

If they are undermining Jose's decisions/selections/purchases/sales of players in any way I've no doubt he'll leave.

Jose always throws his toys out to try and get what he wants. He did this with Inter as well. He won't leave until he's won the UCL with them.

He was in full flow on an overhaul. Press barred from most training sessions. Interviews and press conferences reduced. The team cook travels ahead of the team to make sure the food's ready when they arrive. Injured players have to report in to the medical department before the training sessions start. He goes to reserve team matches and calls up the interesting ones to train with his squad. This made the official chain on command nervous.

His big crime is opening his mouth in public. He's very direct and the press and the Madrid management hate it.

An example, he's given more time to youth team players than any manager since Del Bosque :smirk: including a young striker called Morata. But when the press demanded that he use Morata as his new number 9, he told them, "He's going to be good, but he's next year's player. The reason La Liga's full of good ex-Madrid players is you're too impatient - the press, the agents, the club - you won't let them grow up. Leave him alone. He's only scored 4 goals in the reserves - let him enjoy scoring some goals there, don't act like his work there is worthless."

When he arrived they asked him about Barca, he told them they're a great team and that he could give Madrid a great team in four years. They laughed - four years is incomprehensible for them.

Does Valdano work for Real or for Barça?

Everytime Madrid loses, plays bad or something controversial happens with José or with a Madrid player this guy is the first to criticize them, not to mention all the dumb shit he has done in the transfer market. is he there to help or or to amper the team?the sooner Madrid get rid of this cancer the better.
