New one from Jane Schoenbrun, director of the brilliant I Saw The TV Glow. (Avert thine eyes, @Dirty Schwein!)
Gillian Anderson and Hannah Einbender is a diabolical pairing.
No interest in this but the impression is on point.
I've got to say the impression is very good. He's perfected the voice, mannerisms and the posture.
Love Rocky films (well, to 3 anyway) and will definitely watch this.
Didn't watch it all as it felt a bit spoilery, but I'm getting Prisoners vibes.

Saw that in the cinema before Odyssey. Even on a massive screen with a killer sound system it was dull as feck. How many more of these can they make?!
Also. Will there be any summer blockbuster in 2026 where Zendaya doesn’t have a role?
I don't even blame her either - she s cashing in on the now as she probably should - because I can't imagine Hollywood not tossing her aside as soon as the wrinkles start to show. A tremendous actress she is not.
I wonder how much she made to disapprovingly shake her head a couple of times in The Odyssey... Probably more than I ever could in my lifetime

Having owned a slightly newer version of that truck, the real question I have is how they made the tank last that long.

It’s probably not going to be the greatest movie ever, and all the best jokes are probably in the trailer, but it does show how Warner Brothers were full of shit when they described this as unreleasable in order to get a tax write-off. It looks a lot better than much of the slop that Hollywood releases these days.
Maybe it was all a facade and they're just setting up the sequel: Coyote vs. ACME vs. Warner Bros.
God bless Johnny Depp for finally being old enough to play a role that's been beaten to death so much they gaslight us into pretending it's original. I'll still watch it though.

I can see why this isn’t getting a theatrical release because it would bomb harder than a B-52. But that doesn’t explain why it exists at all. It’s like Hollywood execs saw the success of Barbie and thought toy brand + movie = $$$$$ ie completely missing the reasons why Barbie was a success. And Matchbox is a toy car brand - there’s no story element there to build a movie around. You might as well make Heinz Ketchup: The Movie.
