How much would Salinas cost?
Is he yet another player in the Malacia, Telles and Reguillon mold that sticks to the end of the bench and becomes impossible to get rid of? (yes, I know Reguillon was a loan, but importance-wise he was an afterthought).

So wouldnt blame the board if they get MLS now who can play both. Problem with that approach is Shaw would be injured very soon and we will end up playing MLS as left back. Knowing our luck , couple of our midfielders will be injured and we would need a body there as well.

Me neither unfortunatelyAgree. Arsenal want to compete on all fronts and for years to come. Makes little sense in selling a really good 19 year old player who is still developing and can play multiple possitions.
He started in the CL final and the Charity Shield. That doesnt strike me as a player who is leaving.
The question really is, does he wants to leave? All the noise is coming from the agent side with the player reconfirming he wants to fight for his place at Arsenal. Look at the prices of those players and look at the prices of players considered good fullbacks. There you’ll find the answer as to why we can’t sign a good one.Reguillon did pretty well in that half a season to be fair.

Malacia was a weird one. I’m still not sure if hes actually a professional footballer or not.

Oh and typically of us, if I remember correctly we let Reguillion go and then spent the second half a season struggling to get a replacement.
Almost certain it would be left back if we went for him now. Not against it, get Hall next summer when Shaw rides off into the sunset and we look very good. That’s the pipe dream anyway.

Nwaneri is going out on loan (without a buy option). Arsenal don't want to lose him but he needs playing time.Was all for this signing but much less with the Baleba news. He sees his future in midfield, is far better there and we are now about to be fairly stacked there so not sure it makes much sense anymore. If anything Nwaneri would be more interesting now but don’t see that happening.
This has to be dead now unless we are signing him for in and around 50 million to play him at LB this year with a view to him eventually taking Tielemans spot in the middle when his legs start to go. Then back to the drawing board for a more specialist LB at a better price next season.

As far as I'm aware, MLS prefers to play in midfield, sees himself as a midfielder, almost always now plays in midfield and has never impressed as much at left back as he does in midfield?
From his perspective, he'd presumably be going from a club he wants to be at in the position he wants to play in, to a club he doesn't want to join in a position he doesn't want to play in.
Would be staggered if Arsenal sell him, all indications are he wants to stay there and keep placeA CM who can also play LB, like Baleba was hinted at in The Athletic article. To tide us over until Hall comes next summer? MLS could be the Ugarte replacement?
