Harsh on Hojlund cause I’d like to see him in a functioning team that’s creating chances for him but we 100% need an extra striker.

I’d also like a more athletic CM to replace Mainoo and use him as rotation for now, but those three positions are our top priority I think.

A new 10? We have Mount, Eriksen, throw in Zirk. And the long long list of players that failed, including Mata, Kagawa, the one who swap for Sanchez? and so on and so forth.

No we don't need a new 10, we just need to figure out what type of players we really need. But most important of all, get rid of Casemiro, Antony

Casemiro will be gone 100%

Very likely Eriksen leaves in January since Amorim doesn't use him. Mount is permanently injured so - we don't have jack shit, mate. Zirkzee is also not a good #10 in Amorim system and Amorim clearly doesn't utilize him as such
 
I’d personally like to get the right players, which means we might need to wait for the market to determine when to sign.

This winter;
Nuno Mendes : if he genuinely wants to join, PSG might be tempted to sell now as his contract ends in 2026.
(Kerkez if not)
Inacio : if the rumours that Dortmund want him now for only 35m. I’d move now.

This would strengthen our left hand side.
I think the benefits of giving Garnacho, Hojlund and to a lesser degree Zirkzee a final 6 months to shape up outweighs the urgency of final league position.
A cup win would be nice though.

Summer;
Gyokeres
Dibling - he could play RWB and add depth in AM. I imagine southampton will only sell in the summer. Wilcox should be on it with his connections.
Baleba - I think he can cover 2 roles in midfield and form a partnership with any of Bruno, Ugarte, Mainoo.
Suzuki - whilst not a high priority I think competition is going to be high for his signature.

I think those 6 are reasonable if we get medium range bids for;
Casemiro, Antony, Rashford, Zirkzee.
Collyer, Malacia, Bayindir could also bring in 5m-10m each.

I’d love it if we signed Baleba. We’ve lacked the power in midfield for a long time, but he’s got the technical ability to go with it. Can progress with the ball well, good passing ability and a huge threat with his shooting outside the box.

Unfortunately Brighton will have our pants down and I can’t see it happening anytime soon. I just hope he doesn’t end up at one of our rivals, but I’m pretty sure he will.
 
The most urgent three for me would be.

1: Striker - We are definitely lacking here, it would make a big difference if we had a proven quality striker.
2: Left Wing Back - We don't have one (fit), and we play a system with wing backs.
3: Goalkeeper - Our goalkeeper sadly can't be relied upon and will cost us matches regularly. He has improved somewhat from last season but if we are serious about competing at the top level you need consistency. (see Van Der Sar)

Beyond this we will need an additional central midfield player to supplement Ugarte and Mainoo, and an additional 10 replacing Zirkzee in the squad.
 
you guys should really get Carreras back from Benfica as a budget solution, he is better than any of the current options on the left

We do need a new 10, just cause we’ve bought plenty in the past, in the cases you stated above. The far past, doesn’t mean we don’t need one now. Mount is always injured, Eriksen will be let go in the summer and Zirkzee is awful. Amad can play there but I prefer him as a WB.
 
1. Midfielder. We cannot play Mainoo and Ugarte every single 90 mins and the drop off is unreal looking at the squad.
2. Left wing-back. We have no one, but I'd rather play Dalot there and get a midfielder in first.
3. Another attacker.
 
Wonder if anyone on the whole of the cafe reckons a left wing back isn't beyond urgent?!
 
Could do with signing a referee, Madley has been Arsenal's stand out performer by a country mile.
 
The more this season continues, the more impressive the summer transfer window looks. It has been overlooked because of our league position imo.

Ugarte is one of the first on the team sheet. De Ligt is growing game by game. Yoro oozes quality, composure and potential every time he plays. Mazraoui has been one of our top performers this season. Only Zirkzee has the question mark hanging over him.

If we manage to execute another 3/4 signings in key positions this summer, we could really be on to something.

LWB, ST and another MF are the standouts for me.

Can we afford to wait until summer for striker, mind you getting a LWB/midfielder looks unlikely too
 
Bit worrying that we're halfway through the window and there hasn't been any movement. In or out. We definitely need to atleast get rid of Case to get any incomings. Then you have the likes of Rash who will most likely go out on loan.

For this winter window it has to be:

LWB: Trigger A. Carreras release clause. You have a starter with Dalot to rotate with (Till we hopefully ship him off in the summer)
ST: Osimhen/Kolo Muani loan. Would prefer the former, but honestly I wouldn't mind the latter either, hopefully brings back his Frankfurt form when he played in a similar system.
CM: Douglas Luiz loan. We desperately need a backup for Ugarte, someone with a similar skillset and Luiz looks really good as a stop gap till the summer.

Definitely need a striker. I can't remember such a poor striker department at the club.
Probably need cover in every area to be honest. How many world class players do we have?. Let's be honest the current crop of players are probably the least inspiring since the 1970s!?

We’ve been unsuccessfully trying to spend our way to the top for a decade.

Maybe it’s time for a new approach like investing in young players and reaching the top more gradually.

It needs to be a combination, we need an experienced striker more than anything else and a LWB

We have a young CB and 2 younger more experienced ones + Maguire

We have young and promising midfielders, a more experienced one is probably best here

What experienced ST and experienced midfielder do you feel could fit Ruben's system
 
Would do with a capable striker right now. LWB and CM also critical but not as much as a proper forward.

A confident and capable striker buries those two chances against Liverpool.

No idea, we have a young and inexperienced striker and no one else, we have a young inexperienced midfielder in Mainoo, our experienced ones are Casemiro and Eriksen, one or possibly both are on the way out

Alan Hansen's kids quote is famous and in reality he was basically right, the class of 92 played with a bunch of experienced players, Irwin, Bruce, Pallister, Cantona, Keane, Cole to name ones that played 20-30 games that season, without them that team would not have won close to what the eventually did

Luiz is more of an "on the ball" player though. He would be more of a candidate for Kobbie's place. Having said that, I wont be against him to add dept.
