Not necessarily my club, but off the top of my head......

The Bolton ones, Okocha, Hierro and Djorkaeff.

Coutinho and Robertson. Rob Jones back in the day.

Maddison and Tielemans look to be good business. Vardy is off the scale.

Ole, Cantona (the game ender if we're honest).

Denis Irwin. Signed from Oldham, total class.

Arsenal had a few during this period when Wenger was in the market for practically every wonderkid.

Off the top of my head:

RVP
Adebayor
Rosicky
Hleb
Flamini
Toure
Sagna
Clichy

I think thats almost their first XI. Should cost less than 40m pounds.

Ole, Big Pete...does Irwin count? Was doing pretty well at Oldham I remember.

Ronnie Johnsen?

Obviously Cantona, snip for the money really.

Maguire to Leicester ;). Maybe not counted, but they made big profit on him.

Van der Sar was a steal for us no doubt about it.

For Man Utd: Clearly Ronaldo: not only for the performance on pitch but also because his transfer totally changed the market.

For Benfica: Jonas for free: came in as someone ending the career that could give depth to the team, ended up being a very mobile striker and the main player that lead us to many titles, with amazing skills either shooting, dribbling and accurate passing. Too bad he couldn't stay fit.

Cantona, Schmeichel, Irwin. Lots of others who were good value for money, but those three stick in my mind as really special additions, at bargain prices.
there’ve been a few but those three always stand out for me.

There's quite a lot of Big Names Cheap Content here and bargain seeming to include any fee under 15 million.

Just saying.

So, Keegan, Coppell, Sharpe so far eh?

Going a bit further back - we signed Tony Dunne for £6.000 when the transfer record was £65.000

Saw now that he has already been mentioned.

Any Forest-fans here ? Roy Keane for £47.000 - sold to United for about 80 times more, 3 seasons later :)

Gotta be Cantona, he cost around 1-2 million and changed the club. Many of us started to notice the club because of him.

Andy Robertson was 8 million from Hull and is now one of the best LB's around.

Matip was a free transfer and has been decent for us as well. I think Hyypia's probably the best one we've made in the Premier League era.

Surely Evra & Vidic are up there for United? They cost a total of 12.5 million and played for the club for years winning pretty much everything.

Struggling to think of anyone for Rangers, no wonder we went bust.

It'll be Morelos though, £1m is sensational value in the current market.

Tore Andre Flo to Chelsea back in '97 for 300k is a good shout. Sold for 12M to Rangers 3,5 years later after scoring 50 goals for them.

I’d say there were pretty good value for money. I mean, how much cheaper can you get than sod all?
