Hamstring for Luka, FFS. Worst timing possible. No clue why he was even on the field at that point after we were down 30 all game

Reaves was grimacing and holding his back at point during the game as well. No idea if he finished fhe game or if he's struggling with something too. He wasn't moving freely at all.
That was an almighty beat down though. Lakers were down by 30 early in the 2nd quarter.

The NBA is so broken. Giannis is now publicly declaring that he has been fit to play for a while and has no idea, why the Bucks aren’t playing him. So due to his statements there is now an investigation from the league.
And then I check Reddit and basically all Bucks fans are shitting on Giannis, because they want the team to tank. They are literally turning against the sole reason they’ve won a ring and have been competitive for years, because they value losing over winning.

Totally. And it isn't even only the tanking teams. OKC resting lot of the starters in that 1 game against Spurs, and similar stuff happening every day. There is no reason to look forward to any game until you see the starting line-ups. Time for people to vote with their wallet and only watch and pay for the playoffs.
It's bound to happen in the sports where the regular season is pretty meaningless. Simple solution is reduce the number of games but they wont because of money.
The regular season is mainly for individual stat chasing and awards. Thus the MVP debate being as important and as tedious as it is.
Pretty hard to take individual stats seriously when so many teams are actively trying to lose, putting up massive numbers against the Utah 3rd team or whoever isn't proving anything.
It does sometimes feel like half the league is tanking at the same time. We've just rattled off 5 wins in a row and Knicks are the only team in that run that isn't actively tanking.

Yeah, they won because Fox done fecked right at the death in a game that should have done in the final seconds.
Even then they escaped with their lives at home vs a Spurs team that played three times in four days.

And yet they haven't been fined for tanking. Pacers fined for not putting Siakam back in in the 4th.
The NBA are giving the Bucks a break because they realize Doc Rivers has no idea what he's doing.
They have also caused Giannis to miss on a huge payment by NIKE, because he had missed too many games because of this. This will of course go very well for them, if they try to recruite players in the future.
Might see a lawsuit over something like that.

Not only there is a full blown tanking crisis, but now you have multiple teams that clinched their seed or calculating who to get in the playoffs while resting their best players. So, you have around 2 or 3 games per night that are maybe worth watching. Dire all together. Good win for the Blazers though.

Think Spurs are resting players for Nuggets. Wemby most likely. He got his 65 games in and his 40 points in 26 minutes to hit the 25ppg mark for the season, so it won't be the packed encounter you're hoping for I don't think.
I assumed that Spurs might fancy sending the Nuggets to Thunder side of the bracket and playing against winner of Wolves - Lakers in potential SF. Seems slightly more favorable.
Warriors games are usually worth watching, especially against a team that's trying to tank. We're trying to win, they're trying to lose, but we suck so bad the result is always in doubt.

In the modern era, say the 1990s onwards, the NBA regular season has pretty much always been half entertainment & stat padding, half individual stories & the awards race.
Seems the Nuggets don't care that much either, most of the team will sit out
You can't win the title in the regular season, but you can lose it. 2005-6 Pistons were the best team but ran too much, peaked too early, faded late.

While I agree with the sentiment, I believe I saw a stat that showed that the champion is mostly the 1 or 2 seed.
How are people thinking the awards will go, now that the regular season is over? My picks would be:
MVP: SGA
NBA first team (also in order of MVP votes): SGA, Jokic*, Wembanyama*, Cunningham, Brown (I would have Doncic as 4th, and Cunningham as fifth but I guess Doncic is not available cause he played only 64 games).
DPoY: Wembanyama

The Spurs really made things harder for themselves. If they had beaten Denver, they would have pushed them into a matchup with OKC. Instead, now they have to beat Denver first and then OKC.

As it is now Cade isn't eligible, same as Doncic, he played 64 games (there are some reports both will fill an appeal based on extraordinary circumstances that prevented them from making 65 games; Cade with collapsed lung and Doncic had a birth of his daughter). If both of them are not eligible I think NBA first team might go: SGA, Jokic, Wemby, Brown, Kawhi.
