AD (if he can ever be healthy)
Markkannen
Trae Young
Sarr
Kyshawn George
Ace Bailey
Bub Carrington
Coulibaly
Whitmore (if he can ever be healthy).
Plus the 2026 number one pick

Thats looking like a really good roster in the east.

Since when have the Jazz and Wizards merged into one team?

That was piss poor luck for Pacers
They’ll feel bad about this for sure. To go full season of extreme tanking only to end up without a pick. Then again they inflicted this upon themselves trading it to Clippers, there was always a close to 50% chance that it would land outside top 4.

To be fair though they’d probably be trading that pick for a center anyway now.

Huge for Wizards, Jazz and Grizzlies though. All will get to pick what can easily be a transformative, generational talent.

Knicks look ominous, ever since they've been leaning more on KAT

Detroit beat them every time they met this season but the playoffs may be different

Selfishly rooting for them now, as it translates to an excellent summer in New York

I hate tanking but if there's a team that has deserved a high pick, it's the Pacers. They've punched above their weight for years.

They're way better than a 19 win team. They just came off of a finals appearance. They don't deserve a high pick at all.

They have Zubac. That is the trade where they gave this year's pick to Clippers

I'm surprised about the general sentiment surrounding the Pacers' choice, and it's also the complete opposide of how people thought about the Warriors' choice to tank when Curry and Klay were out in 19/20. I'm not sure they "deserve" a high draft pick just because their best player has been out this season.

A franchise that doesn't deserve a top 4 pick next draft is probably the Bulls whose ownership are inept and happy with absolute mediocracy for years on end.

Yeah zero sympathy with the Pacers, they brought this on themselves. They took a risky gamble with the Zubac trade and lost, this was always a reasonable possibility.
If anyone should feel screwed it's the Kings, they were the only team actually not deliberately tanking - just being shite. And look what they've gotten for it.

Wemby is an idiot.

The Spurs coach even worse for saying he's happy he took matters into his own hands. He did caveat it after but its crazy he even said that after Wemby assaulted Naz Reid like that.

I mean, don't think it was intentional. They all play through contacts and hard fouls.. It was extremely reckless but nothing unusual in such a game. And Wemby is far away from some dirty player. It happens.

Dunno if he meant to elbow Reid's face but he definitely meant swing that elbow at him. He looked back and swung it with quite some aggression.

I don't think that's normal playing through contact. He was frustrated by physical defence and he retaliated. That's what it looks like to me. Ejection was correct and I think he probably deserves an extra game ban at the very least.

Didn't he say "it's obviously wrong but Victor has been treated very physically without getting calls since entering the NBA"? There's not much wrong with that imo.

Stupid reaction, even though understandable he needs to know better. But an ejection should be the end of it for me.

Didn't notice the look back. In any case, I wouldn't give him extra ban... These things happen especially in playoffs.

He said 'I'm glad he took matters into his own hands'. That's an objectiveky dumb thing to say, and it's probably why he had to caveat it with several layers because he realised in the moment how insane that sounded.

Okay yeah that's a very stupid thing to say

That would be harsh IMO, but it doesn't help that Spurs coach said that stupid thing.

:lol::lol:

I’ve no great love for the Timberwolves but wild to me that people are saying the elbow wasn’t intentional. It’s as clear as day he swings at him intentionally, he has a look before he does it

Aye, took a better look. That was blatantly intentional. In the heat of the moment, but intentional. Still think this ejection is enough though

Lucky man.

Looks the NBA made a business decision ;)

Yes and no. The Dubs missed the playoffs again, so neither Kerr nor the front office were happy about that. From his POV, the thought was maybe he'd call it a day because the window for winning championships had closed. From the front office POV, yes they'd like to stay loyal if he wanted to come back, but they did want to implement some changes. First of all, Kerr is very outspoken on a number of political issues, the ownership would like him to rein that in somewhat. Secondly they wanted him to make some changes to his system because they (like me) also believed it had gone a bit stale. Third they were not happy with the Kuminga situation and believed his handling of young players in general needed some work. There are others, but those are the ones that seem to stand out. On Kerr's side, did he want to go back into broadcasting because it was something he was very good at and there are (supposedly) a number of offers on the table. More importantly would he agree to the changes the front office wanted to impose. The feeling was, if both sides could get on the same page, he would be back. Initially, the thought was he'd walk away. However, it appears both sides have worked out whatever differences they had.
Looks like the ESPN offer was about 7 million, and his 2 year contract with the Dubs is about 35 mil.

It would be double standards after Wolves- Nuggets fight where nobody got a ban.

Did anybody got a flagrant 2 or elbowed anyone? I only remember some pushing and shoving which never leads to bans.

I know, what I meant is if they hadn’t traded that protected pick back in February and just landed with the 5th pick now, they’d be looking for a similar type of trade anyway. There’s a lot of noise about them losing the pick as a result of that trade but in reality they weren’t keeping it if it landed out of top 4 anyway I feel.

Exactly, everyone over values draft picks/draft capital. Indiana got what they needed in Zubac. You take the sure thing over a lottery selection every time.

Thought this was a good/reasonable tweet about LeBron's time in LA. I don't consider his stint with the Lakers as successful for one reason or another, but could be that I'm being too harsh on him by his own ridiculous standards.

No clue what he's doing next season, but I hope he runs it back one more time. Think he genuinely doesn't know yet at the moment, it'll also depend on the options available to him. Returning to Cleveland seems pretty pointless given their roster, does a contender like Spurs even want him on their team, not sure staying with the Lakers is a realistic option, ... We'll find out soon enough but would feel a bit weird that he's suddenly gone like that after a clean sweep series without further ado.
