NBA 2025-2026

Lucky man.

Looks the NBA made a business decision ;)

Although I do have some sympathy for him, he got caught intentionally more than once in the face before elbowing back, he’s a very very fortunate basketball player to get away so lightly.

Been numb since I heard of BC's passing.

Feels like the literal death of an era and a nail in the coffin. 3rd pick in the draft, but who fecking cares? End of the season was soul destroying.

If you're letting Harden outrebound you to get his own missed FT, you don't deserve to be in the ECF.. they weren't even trying to get it.

PIstons refuse to give up. i predicted Spurs - Pistons finals and thought later it is stupid as both teams are too young.. But they don't play like it. In any case both teams are way ahead of their schedule.

Yikes Pistons  that's embarrassing. Thought Pistons would be a tougher match up for the Knicks as well but we will see what the Cavs still have left in the tank.

New York with as big a chance to win the East and the prize is... being crushed in the Finals!

That was some game! I hate the Thunder and their entitled fans. They are probably bitching about the refs.

What a game! Hope Spurs go to the Finals. Wemby is fecking awesome.

Oh wow.
Wembanyama is simply unreal. There are no ways to describe him, we've never seen anything like that before. An alien.

The Spurs are totally set for a dynasty. The sky is the limit for him, and barring injuries he'll be the face of the league and win all of the awards for years to come.

That was one of the most sensational games I've seen in the last few years and probably even beyond that. And the outcome makes it even better with OKC losing yet again to the Spurs, already losing home-court advantage in Game 1.

It's literally insane, you have a 7'5 guy pulling up for logo threes  And you're right about the dynasty part as well. It's almost beyond comprehension that a guy like Castle will likely be the third option for them next season. How Harper is running the point as a rookie and sometimes even taking over games when he's on the field is pretty damn rare.

The question for the rest of the West (and the league) is, how do you try to compete with that. For a team like the Nuggets, or the Lakers and Rockets, there's pretty much little point in trying to trade for anyone because you'd still be a few tiers below OKC and the Spurs. They've set up their teams in ways that's so unique in today's NBA that it almost cannot be matched. Going Wembanyama-Castle-Harper in three consecutive drafts is (alongside a stroke of luck, they'll have to admit that) generational stuff.

You guys are getting a bit ahead of yourselves. This will be a 7 game series.

I'm not even saying the Spurs will win this series - the OKC are still slight favorites I guess.
But we're in year 3 of Wembanyama, so I very much believe the Spurs are all set for a decade or more of dominance. With Harper and Castle as well - sheesh!
The magnetic field they will be for talent aquisition and role players as well - good luck to the rest of the NBA.
The Fox contract is probably the only thing that's no bueno in the long run - but I'm sure they can trade him to the Wizards or the Nets in a couple of years anyways.

Spurs were in control for much of that game, even without Fox. What's their record now, 5 wins in the last 6 games against OKC?

Could very well be 7 games and an OKC win but there's a pattern here.

Wemby doesn't even make sense. Such a wide skillset and winning mentality

For the rest of the NBA

And the simple answer is, you pray for injuries or FO feck ups ruining the roster and leaving him with a 2006-2010 cavs type of supporting cast

And even that might not be enough because he's one million apples tall and even of you throw double or triple teams he can still dunk over everyone anyways, and you can't score in the paint ever against him

I get the rationale behind MVP voting, but anyome winning MVP over Wemby already feels like when guys would won MVP over MJ to me. Wemby is so clearly better than anyone else

They but they already have Castle and Harper in house. I'm not really caught up with how salary cap and apron rules work in the league these days, but if they can keep those three together long-term and add a good (affordable) supporting cast around them, that might already be enough. James had D-league level players around him during his first Cavs stint compared to what the Spurs currently have.

Yeah. It's crazy the amount of times the Thunder just didn't commit going to the basket because he was standing there  Saw a Lakers aggregator account tweeting that he'd give up Reaves, Hachimura, and all of our picks for Wemby. I hope that was tongue in cheek because that's lightyears away from what the Spurs would even consider. In fact, I don't think there's any team in the league that can offer a package deal for Wembanyama at the moment (or in the near future) that they'd even look at. Perhaps OKC themselves but no pasaran for obvious reasons.

I would give up our entire roster including Luka for Wemby

Soon enough it'll be Wemby+a bunch of D-league guys is still a playoff team. Wemby plus one other genuine superstar and a bunch of D league guys gets you to the finals

Wemby+another superstar with an NBA caliber roster wins the title, every year Wemby is healthy

Why do we have to listen to Sharpe on NBA stuff these days?

Also refers to other players having similar numbers in a playoff game but casually forgets that all three of them are top 10 all-time players, fecking hell.
