NBA 2025-2026

I would give up our entire roster including Luka for Wemby
Derailing but you're supporting Real Madrid in football and the Lakers in the NBA? Are you supporting Ferrari in F1, Djokovic in tennis, Duplantis in pole vaulting, the US in the Olympics, the UK in global colonization?

A bit rich to post that on an Irish Man Utd board full with non-Manchester based fans, isn't it?

There's e.g. loads of people on here who support United and the Pats. I bet they had a title to celebrate for each year in their youth/childhood.

I am not even sure what the Pats are. The Patriots in the NFL?

Yes, franchise with a dynasty and arguably the GOAT player on a timeline that coincided with Utd being perennial PL winners.

I "support" the lakers. Wouldn't consider myself a real fan though

Yes to Ferrari of course, I'm italian :wenger:

And also sybau

Rafa is my entire life

I’ve only been watching the NBA since 2020… that Wemby performance has to be the best game I’ve seen from any player in that run. Oh my. Ludicrous. I’m buzzing after watching that.

Clearly the best player in the world already. And I love his mentality, his charisma, the fact he cried after the first round. And I especially love how much he hates Chet.

Could be my favourite sportsman since Thierry. He’s so awesome.

Garden will be buzzing tonight. The New York Knickerbockers are in the house.

Down by 22 with 7 min left. And we go to ot at msg

Same choke as game 1 last season but it was NY who blew a 14 pt lead with three minutes left. Terrible. This makes up for it

Exactly. And the Knicks were just out of gas too at that point in the playoffs, hopefully the same thing happens to the Cavs.

The Garden was rocking last night! I've been to plenty of regular and playoff matches, but last night was special.

And to think some people left with 6-7 mins to go as the Knicks were trailing by 15+. They missed a classic

I think they will beat Cavs.
Knicks were a bit rusty after 9 days of rest so shooting was off, but Brunson carried them in the final.
I think they have zero chance against Wemby he looks like a freak of nature.
OKC are the reigning champions so obviously strong as well, but I think SAS go thru and beat the Knicks in 5

Wouldn't be surprised at all if it goes 7 if they both make it. They match up pretty well.

Thunder's entire game plan seems to foul feck out of Wemby every second he's on the floor. Hartenstein might actually hurt him if the refs continue to let this carry on with impunity.

He can pull hair without punishment. Insane. Don’t understand why the league gives them this special treatment

It's been their entire strategy for 3 years

They're the arsenal of the nba

Another tight battle between the Thunder and Spurs, I love watching Wemby but I do think over a 7 match series Thunder just have too much depth, they are such a ridiculously good team in terms of personnel and attitude.

It's like in hockey when they send a goon grunt out there to put hits on players and get into fights. Hartenstein's only job was to foul Wemby off the ball and make sure he doesn't get the ball, by any means and hope the refs help you out.

If Thunder have refs on their side they can‘t be beaten. I hate the fecking cnuts.

I reall don’t understand the hatred of the Thunder apart from the fact they’re from Oklahoma. Their players don’t act like overpaid superstars and they play great attacking basketball.

It usually goes for the best team in the league. It was the same for Warriors a few years ago (with the same, 'the referees help them' argument).

Their incessant fouling and foul baiting by SGA are what gets them that dislike, especially when refs let them do it.

It‘s their chosen strategy and it is working.

Growing up watching basketball in the 80’s & 90’s I can tell you this is nothing. And all the top NBA sides dish out anyway.

Does anyone actually care that they’re from Oklahoma? I have no hatred for the state or city of Oklahoma at least - why would I? Or anyone not from the USA? Do they kill puppies in Oklahoma or something?

It’s the different whistle that does my head in, and the peak Hardenesque foul baiting. I’m sure it goes both ways, but it’s obviously more recognizable when one team is as dominant as they are, and it’s frustrating as feck. Lu Dort as a human wrecking ball without any tangible consequences, the Hartenstein hair pull yesterday, Shai in general. They get credit for «playing hard on defense» while other teams aren’t allowrd the same grit and hardness at all. I might be in the wrong, but most people seem to agree to some extent.

(This doesn’t mean they’re not great. They are great. Two things can be true at the same time.)

Don't forget that Fox was a big loss for Spurs these two games and they still managed to beat OKC first game.

Those two things are definitely true.

There‘s consensus on the foul baiting and the way Thunder is allowed to play. Their strategy is to foul so much, the refs can‘t keep up with it all.

The hair pull: how do you explain that that wasn‘t called back for a flagrant foul or an expulsion?

This is why the Thunder are disliked so much. They get the foul calls, while getting away with murder themselves.

As I said - the arsenal of the nba. They figured out how to game the refs, and win because of that

Absolute bull.

How are OKC allowed to manhandled Wemby on every possession?

How are they able to get FT's from mere brushes? How is Shai allowed to extend his leg out unnaturally during jump shots and get the whistle?

We can't beat OKC and the ref whistle.

We need Fox back.

He is training so i hope he is back for games 3 and 4. If Spurs go on 3-1, it will be hard for OKC to come back from that.
I still think that Spurs are favorites here.
