NBA 2025-2026

The group chat is already pondering whether Brunson surpasses Manning and Jeter in NY legend status if the Knicks win out...
Maybe Manning but not Jeter and not quite Messier who was brought in to win the Cup and said so and delivered. Jackson same thing. Namath same thing. Oh and Jeter won 5 rings. But he will be one of many legends in NY sports history. Too many to count really.

Yeah that 4th "foul" on KAT changed the whole flow of the game.
On the other hand they are allowing Knicks to be extremely physical under the basket. Half of those contacts on Castle and Wemby are fouls usually.

Brunson has been so off. Let’s see what happens in last minute

It is the Knicks though and most New Yorkers weren’t born when they last won a ring. Phil Jackson was on that roster as a player when they last won it

Spurs flop a lot and it’s more obvious when they aren’t playing against OKC.
Spurs? You saw how many times this game Knicks players did SGA flop after the shot?
Refs allowing this kind of physical defence benefits Knicks way more than Spurs.

Yup. Not just with that pass. I don't know why he was trying long jumpers in last 2 minutes instead trying to go inside.
We sometimes forget he’s only 22, so Wemby’s definitely allowed some slack, but if he just keeps on to the ball rather than pass it to Castle then the Spurs probably win that game and the whole series has a completely different feel heading in to NY. Tiny tiny margins of errors…

Wemby fecked up didn’t he
Meh, Castle and their coach fecked up more in my opinion.

Time is running out in a close game, don’t depend on the 7 footer to dribble the ball. The guard should be calling for it as soon as possible and the coach should be calling a timeout if that’s not happening.

I think the issue was that Brunson was right next to Castle so even if he got the pass he would've been under pressure immediately. Wemby should've also realized Castle had his back turned, shouldn't have tried to play the pass.

Don't know why coaches don't call timeouts in these situations

I’m surprised to see people here claim that Knicks got the whistle last night as even most Spurs fans seem in agreement that it was leaning their way actually.

It was a fun watch though, Knicks almost threw away a game they already won only for Spurs to be the ones to choke in the end.

Feels good to be on the other side for once, those collapses against the Pacers last year made me sick to my stomach.

People see what they want to see. Spurs clearly had the better whistle last night. I’m expecting Scott Foster in the next game to help Spurs get at least 1 game back.

It’s been a great series so far and the NBA would love this to go into 7 games.

That’s the thing though, Castle should be heading to the ball, not away from it.

Wemby should be finishing plays, not starting them.

Yeah I expect it to go 6 at least.

Wemby & this Spurs instalment just going through the inevitable learning curve at Finals level... 0-2 is tough, not impossible (yet).

Disappointing start by the Spurs. This is still far from over, but it is not looking good.

I was thinking Knicks in four, until I learned both Trump and Zohran will be at the Garden on Monday, which inevitably means a Spurs blowout!!!

The refs were ridiculous, the backcourt violation, the technical on Mitch, the missed technical on Fox, the silly fouls on KAT that ended up shifting all momentum, the missed foul on OG (that eventually they called back but how do you even miss that!!!)

KAT was magnificent, Bridges, OG great, the bench was fantastic - poor games from Hart and Jalen (though somehow he scored the last Knick points).

I think Knicks will win, question is in 4 or 6.

Nice to see the Garden crowd booing the f out of Trump

Refs want this to go 7. Spurs getting the better whistle again.

Alvarado guarding Wemby looked hilarious

Ermmmm .

Guys.... What the feck?

The guy with the tree branch just tapping everyone whilst it goes off

I hope he's not at the England match in nearby New Jersey. Our Stone Island clad mob could be in trouble.

Yeah man welcome to the Knicks. They’re something else!

Wemby should have been ejected. Could and should have had like two-three flagrants.
