This one?

Shameless from Adidas
If I didn't know better I would say Adidas fired our new home kit together after initial reactions to the rumoured bus seat shirt said it was utter shite, even by modern Adidas standards. We should just go back to Umbro - it's a Manchester company after all.

They don't have the money to compete, we'd be gimping ourselves. It's akin to saying we should be starting with Lingard because he's a local lad, even if he can't compete.

I'd like puma next. Their kits are innovative and interesting (see Arsenal, Marseille, AC Milan, Dortmund etc.)

You lost me at Puma... Ideally we would have quality retro 80s style Adidas kits with the stripes all the way down the shoulders but that won't be happening.

The back being longer than the front ruins it for me. I ordered a copy from China a couple of weeks ago so hoping it's not like that, I didn't notice it on the pics at least. It will look fine tucked in on the players.
It's to cover your arse when you bend over! Built and designed for brickies :D

Puma Kits are disgusting. Umbro would be amazing and maybe since they are owned by Nike they could figure out the finances somehow. Probably wishful thinking. Adidas has been generally good for us I think, its hard to work with the shit sponsor we have.

Looks like the exact same template for the blue away kit during Mourinho's first season
Ugh, that's terrible. As if you're watching the kit on a TV that has shite reception. Those weird patterns are absolutely unnecessary and ugly.

Put a clean looking sponsor on the kit and I guarantee it would get a much more favourable reception... the Chevy logo would make even Roma’s kits look shite

Looked at those Roma ones before looking at United.

Terrible. Was so looking forward to Adidas, but that kit looks awful. Really disappointed

When you have to have the same colour, Adidas, and that Chevrolet logo on, there's not a billion things you can do design wise.

So the new one is reasonable I suppose.

Will be cautious about a shirt this season, having wellied £80 on a Maguire shirt and worn it to games not even twice.
They bungled the lettering outside the ground, meaning I had to send it back, making for an all time low record of ONE wear!!
Wear it next time you're popping into Tesco. You know, just to get some more usage out of it.

If it's a warm day maybe wear the shorts too

Nah.
United pants and shinpads is my limit. Nothing else on.

Saw the Inter kits in action yesterday - they're much better on the field than they look in the promo shots. I don't mind a slightly wild design every few years for clubs like Inter, Milan, and Juve, whose colors and general style shouldn't change because of tradition but at times can be a bit staid.

Everyone always loves Roma's kits but if we had a cartoon logo with an odd collar they'd slate it.

Damn. Guess I'll have to wait one more year then to buy a new kit for the collection. Thanks!
I'm waiting with hope that the green one is nice.

Imagine us renewing with Chevvy for another 7 years after this season, I think I'd have a meltdown.

Interesting to try and think of brands where the logo would fit in better.

That's the player issue shirts. All of adidas's player spec shirts have been like that since last year's International kits. Replicas are same as usual.

Unfortunately you're right, and that's been the case since we left them for Nike.

As for Puma, I recently co-curated a kit exhibition, and I'm fairly sure that out of over 200 shirts we featured, there wasn't a single one from them. They have almost exclusively made poor or non-descript club kits, but I am liking a lot of what they've done this past year or so.

Nike sold off Umbro 8 years ago after deliberately running them into the ground with massive expenses after letting all their deals expire or just moving them over to Nike (England kits, for example). They were lucky to survive.

There will always be people who don't like collars on a football shirt, but the crest is one of their old designs, and they use it as an alternative on away kits sometimes. Nobody would complain if we used an old crest, as it'd be part of our history.

Point is people will always find stuff to moan about with our kits. Some people want Mike but they've given Liverpool a black and grey chessboard for a third next year.

I’d rather he stayed out in Italy

Wish we’d just get a kit with a colour to change things up a bit.

All our adidas kits have felt too samey.
We had a fecking awful kit last year that had black shorts and red socks, how else could we change it up a bit? This one has yellow in it?!

Looking for the answers...

sorry dude I meant to type “I wish we’d Get a kit with a collar”

the same round neck design has been done to death. As others have said the new home kit is a rehash of the template for our blue kit from about 3 years ago. Poor form from adidas
