She definitely over did the Plastic S.I still can't get past how much that woman looks like a human-cat hybrid.

Fulham's owners are massively loaded, not oil money loaded, but still. No idea about Palace.I'm still surprised the Saudi's didn't go for a London club. Palace, Fulham?
I wouldn't be surprised if Newcastle fans being so desperate for their owners to sell played some part. Look at the way geordies have embraced them, would that of happened with any other club? Ideal pr.I'm still surprised the Saudi's didn't go for a London club. Palace, Fulham?
You need to buy an electric car and a push lawnmower rapid like soReally wish the trend of oil money clubs would just go away.

Probably to do with current stadium size and future ability to extend. That’s why Newcastle were so unique, they’ll have to at least pretend to follow FFP and to walk into a team with decent overseas fan base and a 50,000 seater is a blessing in that regard. I think they have ability to extend to 70,000 as well.I'm still surprised the Saudi's didn't go for a London club. Palace, Fulham?
That’s shocking albeit completely expected at this point. It’s just one big boys club, entry requirement is simply to be richer than the last guy who joined.Tweet

He's right though. I don't think most football fans give a toss as long as it increases their club chance of being succesfull. That’s shocking albeit completely expected at this point. It’s just one big boys club, entry requirement is simply to be richer than the last guy who joined.
The fans see it as, "if they don't buy us, they'll just buy another club in the league and that's another team we will get battered off every season till we get relegated"He's right though. I don't think most football fans give a toss as long as it increases their club chance of being succesfull.
Think someone said earlier in this thread or another one,Newcastle getting relegated could be the best thing to happen to them. Total reset and start again.Really hope every club puts in an obscene effort to beat them each week and get them relegated.
That'll put a major spoke in their regime.
They'll pay through the nose to get some players, they have to. If they do that and change managers they'll survive no problem I think. They can change manager but can’t get anyone in until Jan at earliest in playing side. Who of any great quality is going to want to move to north east in middle of January to take part in relegation scrap?
50+1 is the best method. How do you combat/resist sportswashing? Like, we have signs everywhere against racism. Which is right and proper. Should the FA introduce a symbolic gesture to demonstrate how influencers like footballers utterly reject murder as a means of political advancement? Should journalists and places like Caf associate the names of victims with clubs?
I would love to see them relegated, be even better if Bruce then takes over a Championship side and gets promoted before themHope they lose every fecking match, get relegated and the Championship clubs don’t have none of their shit.
£350bn to try and convince millionaires to live in South Shields to play Luton
TV deals will never burst, english football fans can boycott Sky and so.We all know its corrupt, if there is nothing to hide then why block the reports?
PL is utterly shameless, I hoped that the bubble would've burst with tv deals etc by now but it's only gonna worse.
Say what you like about Bruce the manager, but the man doesn't deserve the grief he's getting.
There's no way that getting relegated is any sort of plus now they have this money.Think someone said earlier in this thread or another one,Newcastle getting relegated could be the best thing to happen to them. Total reset and start again.
They won't burst, but they've shown signs that the money has topped out now.TV deals will never burst, english fans can boycott Sky and so.
But you know who will never boycott the games?
People outside of England who watch the EPL(and paid a subscription to their cable operator), and don't give a crap who own the clubs in english football...and they are millions of people btw.
India,Japan,South Korea,United States,Qatar,Australia, South America,Mexico,etc
A big clueDo you believe that?
Not sure I do to be honest. Also according to the Guardian two weeks before the takeover all the clubs met and the Newcastle takeover wasn't even on the agenda, a week before the takeover at a tribunal meeting the PL said there wouldn't be a decision on the takeover until January. Yet a few days later the takeover was rushed through with no fuss and the rest of the 19 PL clubs who were opposed to it were left in the dark.
That doesn't seem a bit fishy to you? Like how did all the red tape suddenly disappear and the deal get rushed through in secret so quickly? Call me cynical but it seems almost like the PL were told by someone to just get it done.

'The hostility among Premier League clubs to the Newcastle takeover was underlined on Monday when they voted through legislation designed to prevent the Saudi owners from striking lucrative sponsorship deals'As I’ve been saying the other clubs are going to do everything to stop them doing a City:

I agree. Arsene Wenger pointed this out years ago when he repeatedly and publically spoke about Manchester City's inflated sponsorships.Don't know how this would even work. So doesn't this also make many of City's existing sponsorship deals against PL Law?
(Of course we all know they won't lift a finger against them).
Talk about pulling the draw bridge up... You'll probably find Newcastle will do sponsorship deals with companies from some other country not directly Saudi anyway...As I’ve been saying the other clubs are going to do everything to stop them doing a City:

Is the place as backwards as the media rhetoric would have you believe over here? The UK government do tons of business with Saudi Arabia, why would football be any different at the end of it all? I work out here - still waiting to see my first Newcastle top. Stay tuned.
could be argued that city's sponsorship deals aren't inflated now and CAS ruled that eithad deal wasn't a related partyI agree. Arsene Wenger pointed this out years ago when he repeatedly and publically spoke about Manchester City's inflated sponsorships.
If there is to be a move against Newcastle doing the same, what is to be done with City's existing sponsorships?
Pure whataboutism. Is this article wrong then to say United have been sponsored by the Saudi Government?

Probably not but it's not funding the whole club and isn't the main sponsor. Is this article wrong then to say United have been sponsored by the Saudi Government?

Not enforceable because strict laws govern business related parties and these apply regardless of what other clubs vote for. (cartel laws may be invoked against the others).Read this just because I was curious about what City’s vote would have been. Not surprised at the result
My thoughts then are how enforceable this could actually be, should a law like this get passed? Would there not be workarounds like signing deals with companies that aren’t directly linked with SA? Like say, MBS asks a friend not related to SA to buy Newcastle’s naming rights for 100 million per season, and he in turn will sign some sort of deal with them worth that same amount of money or something like that.
And??Pure whataboutism.
There's an astronomical difference between being sponsored by Saudi-based companies and being owned by their sovereign wealth fund. It's irrelevant to the conversation of Saudi's owning Newcastle and is just a cheap embarrassing tactic used by Saudi-apologists (probably an influx of Newcastle fans now). And??
