    Henderson
Wan Bissaka - Lindelof - Maguire - Telles
    Fred - McTominay - Bruno
    Van De Beek
    Greenwood - Rashford

If we win the midfield, which we should with the above lineup, we will come away with three points. It is going to be a hard working team with a bunch of young players who are desperate to play. After a 6-1 loss, it would be embarrassing to roll out the same starting XI as the last game.

Can't wait to see those ginger twats turn into peak zidane and becks for a game against united before turning back into Jay Spearing and Charlie Adam the following week later

He has to get them going for this game, as the following 3 or 4 are all difficult to say the least.

    Big game indeed.
I prefer us in the big games anyway. Players seem to get up for them usually anyway and Ole has a very good record versus the Big 6.

The negativity is insane. This is Newcastle! We should beat them and we need to beat them. This stupid 2 weeks breaks has been hurting badly and we need to work together to put this into bed.

That part reminded me of when people used to say 'Lads, it's Spurs'

Not saying your general point is wrong. I'm just stating what came into my head.

Well, if he can't get them to raise their performance levels against Newcastle this week, that may signal a problem in the dressing room. Can't for sure, but I wouldn't put it past some of our players to stop playing for Ole the moment they feel unhappy with the way things are going. They have previous in that area which Jose will attest to, although some might say he deserved it.

I'd love nothing more. Martial out and most of our team looking shot of confidence and ability I'd say that's a bold claim.
I don't know but I am having this gut feeling. I hope ole doesn't feck up his starting line up though. James has played well in the first half.
I would say if he is fit start Rojo and Lindelof in a back 4.

Have Pogba floating about the left hand side with freedom to roam, Bruno and DVB as 8's contributing both ways. Get him further away from our goal and closer to the oppositions with less responsibilities. If Shaw doesn't / won't overlap then bring on Telles.
This is better than my idea let's do this

I think we’ll go with the back 3. Id like to see McTominay as part of it, he’s done well for Scotland there and I think we could do with his personality in the side.

    De Gea
    McTominay - Lindelof - Maguire
    AWB - Fred - Donny - Telles
    Bruno
    Greenwood - Rashford

Are you not worried about Harry's state of mind right now

I am, but we’ll play him out of it. If Ole drops his world record fee defender and captain, Maguire will be as good as done.

If we went with quick defenders and a high line do we think something like this would work?

    Dave
    AWB—Eric—Axel—Telles
    Fred
    Bruno VDB Pogba
    Greenwood Rashford

We could do three at the back but I’d prefer us to be aggressive. Basically the idea would be to play our best athletes, a little more pace and energy in the team and an extra man in the middle with two up top.

We might get torn apart but at least it would be entertaining!

    Rashford- Greenwood
    Bruno- Pogba/VDB
    Fred-McT
    Telles-Maguire-Lindelof-AWB

Replace Bruno with VdB if he can't play. Maybe this would help kick start PP by letting him play in a more forward position with mobility behind him to do more defensive work
Maguire should be nowhere near the line up. I dont really want to play Baily and Lindelof together, but even as risky as that is, its better to play them than Maguire right now.

He needs a break to get his head sorted

Please no Maguire. Aside from the Fulham and WBA boys, and Joe Gomez, there’s been no crapper centre back this season. In fact, I’d sell Maguire now if someone offered us £35 million. He’s just not that good.

    Hendo
    AWB Bailly Axel Telles
    Matic
    Fred VdB
    Bruno
    Greenwood Rashford

Win the midfield battle, get the two strikers in behind, Telles overlapping constantly with Bruno shifting out to provide width on the right and Henderson making some saves, and we should win with ease. Knowing Ole though, DDG, Maguire and Pogba will play, and we’ll draw 1-1 or lose 2-1. If he plays the above team, we’ll win 0-2.

We need to smash Newcastle. And not look we are conceding everytime they attack.

People keep suggesting a 442 with a diamond in midfield, and I don't understand it. In theory it gets our best players all on the pitch together but look at our performances so far, inc the cup games. Every single game the other team has dropped into a low block and made themselves narrow because they know we have nothing on the flanks to threaten with. Playing a narrow 442, playing a 352, whatever it may be and expecting Shaw and AWB to stretch teams is nonsense.

Ole will play the same system he always plays. Greenwood will probably move up top and James or Mata will play on the right. And it will be awful. Bruce will have seen how we've struggled and he'll make sure his players are organised and up for it.
