Next 7 league fixtures - acceptable points total?

I dont see where we are going to get many points from TBH. We cant seem to defend, have a mistake in us in goal, and we have trouble scoring.

Weve lost to every decent team we played recently.

Ive given up trying to forecast our results, we're half decent one match then crap the next. What I would like to see from these matches and every other match is the team play cohesively, intelligently, passionately, cleverly, consistently and spiritedly. If they do this and lose, fair enough as long as they tried, and thats about as much as I expect from this United squad at the moment, but with each rubbish performance I see my expectations diminish further and I dare not even think about where we'll finish the season, almost certainly without any silverware.

Who would have thought the only points we get from this run would be against City.

Arsenal (A) - Loss
Forest (H) - Loss
City (A) - Win
Bournemouth (H) - Loss
Wolves (A) - Loss
Newcastle (H)
Liverpool (A)

W-1 D-0 L-4

3 points from 15 so far.
3 points from 21 points on the table for these 7 games.

At this rate, we'll be lucky to get 1 win or draw from the remaining 2 fixtures in this run of games.
More likely it’ll be 3 points from 21.

Looking forward to the new thread once the Liverpool game concludes

Will start the New Year in bottom half of table

This thread will be a hall of famer when we lose to Newcastle and Liverpool

Looking forward to the new thread once the Liverpool game concludes

There are 4 home games (Southampton, Brighton, Palace & Ipswich) and 3 away (Fulham, Spurs & Everton).
Hopefully someone can start that thread after the Liverpool game.

Is 3 points out of those 7 fixtures (21 points on the board) acceptable?

.

The players have no fight in them. They run around with lead boots and look physically so meek it's an embarrassment to call them PL footballers. Frankly, I don't fancy our chances in a relegation fight if it's these we have to depend on.

We could pick up 3 points from all these games and it will still be acceptable to many of our fans who for some reason put every manager post fergie on high pedestal as if they are the next fergie given time

Trying to paint it as a bad thing that fans aren't turning on the new fella already is not the gotcha you think it is.

Maybe six points? Am I being optimistic? Honestly it's looking pretty grim, at least January is almost there and Amorim can maybe some purchases.

Six of the seven games were against teams higher in the table, so maybe 3 is to be accepted.

ETH has eaten up all your patience it seems. The season is done, as long as we dont get relegated, could not care less.

I give a manager the next season, a full pre season and a couple of new players before deciding if he is shit or not. Between 8 games and 3-5 years is a healthy balance somewhere in the middle.

Newcastle can hurt us, but Im fearful of what Liverpool might do.

Reading the first few pages before the first game pretty much every prediction was 10 or higher.

Yet here we are with a maximum of 6.

3 points out of 21, assuming we are not getting anything at Anfield next weekend.

So probably 3 points and a whopping deficit in our goal difference.

The next 7:
Southampton (H) Brighton (H) Fulham (A) Palace (H) Spurs (A) Everton (A) Ipswich (H)

4 wins and 3 draws

That's a relatively forgiving stretch, thank god. Good opportunity to secure survival. It's actually going to be hilarious when we walk out against Southampton and it's billed as this six pointer relegation battle game. This club
