I'd give Ole+Carrick another stab at the job, a lot of the bad eggs that took him down are now gone.
But wasnt oles friendly easy going manner that happened create the bad eggs, lazy unprofessional players. He never once call out a bad performance, according to him they were all great lads. He was a soft touch and the team became comfortable in doing things by half. If he came back,it would just start again. And in three years we'd be shifting on more "bad eggs"

Conte is a train wreck. He'll get pissed off really quickly and then leave. If we insist on this system then Inzaghi could be lured in. He is experienced in working at top level, with limited resources and with difficult clubs, a trademark of the Inzaghi's considering Pippo's talent vs what he had achieved. In the EPL I'd say Emery could do the trick.

I'm down for Howe or Tuchel after the WC.

Howe plays a throwback style but one that is combative and effective. His FBs are marauders, whilst wide men actually play with width, overloads, into channels for strikers, men in the middle to actually aim at. Knows the league, no surprises for him. Has taken Newcastle as far as possible. Deserves a shot imo.

Tuchel could do wonders at the WC, leave mission accomplished, then take on the biggest job in English club football to add to his ego.

Simeone and Conte I dont see ending well. Glasner is a defensive approach. Southgate is a great politician, but defensive and a soft touch. We need character without division. And so Howe definitely, with Tuchel hovering just below the division line for my liking.

Maybe Flick in the future.

I think it has to be a PL manager. We need to become better in the league.

Amorim needs to go right now. It is completely pointless sticking with him as we won’t get into Europe and it will just waste the season.
Carrick as caretaker.

SAF please.

Doesn't even need to come into the office/training ground. Can just work from home over the VPN. Would do x10 better than this Portuguese fraud.

A manager who understands that when you're facing 10 men you need to maximise your numerical advantage.

Not keep 3 centre backs behind the ball at all times against often zero strikers.

Stilll can't believe that happened last night.

I strongly believe if we sack Amorim and put Carrick and Ole as caretaker, they will get us Champions league places with this team. As all our challengers are weak and losing points this season, anybody who can put a winning run of 4 to 5 matches will create good distance between the chasing pack. They will probably setup 4-2-3-1, which will suit majority of our squad. Nice subs to bring on aswell (Mount and Amad). This is far better than whatever defensive shit we are playing and serving up. In the summer we can decide whom to go for looks like Xabi Alonso is also not having the best time, Iraola is a good option, anybody would be better than him. I just read a stat somewhere that ETH won 20 of his 35 matches (in PL), whereas Amorim has only won 9 imagine. I think at this stage everybody would agree that ETH was a failure for us but still was better than Amorim.

Lammens
Maz Yoro De Ligt Shaw
Casemiro Maino
Mbeumo Bruno Cunha
Sesko

Subs:
Dalot
Licha
Maguire
Dorgu
Amad
Mount
Zhirkee

I would throw money in front Enrique and ask him; "Just tell me how much is enough". And i think that he would be interested for new challenge.
Option B: Simeone. He is in Atletico for ages now. Surely he wants something new

Third option (and i am sorry for this, don't hate me) : Pochettino

I'd gladly take Ole and Carrick back. Not sure how they'd get on without McKenna though who has done a superb job at Ipswich. I'd gladly take him back too.

I think almost anyone would get a better tune out of our players than Amorim, including interim options. It depends on what direction we want to go. I think Conte would be quite a strong choice for where we are now but I doubt the execs at the club would touch him. Iraola if we want the younger, more exciting type of coach.

Can you please list just 5 wingback we could buy?

The idea just baffles me when you really look into it. Especially if your job is to provide players for the manager.
Just from the lower teams in the prem - Munoz, Mitchell, Kayode, Aina, Williams, Davis (Ipswich) would all be an upgrade on our options other than Amad.

Get Ole in (no jokes, most enjoyment I had post Fergie) and go all out to get Luis Enrique in for next season. Enrique is absolutely the man for me. Can't see past him for a better appointment.

Why would he join us though? Enrique that is

I really don't know. All we have going for us right now is prestige and history. I do realise we are a hard sell to someone like him. It's obviously a big stretch, but he would be my choice. Outside of him, someone that doesn't play at home with five defenders. I don't ever want to see that again at Utd.

They need to study and upload his every neuron to a consciousness mapping technology, so that by the time AI lifeforms are a thing, we can simply deploy Sir AI-ex Ferguson in the future and win the lot.

I wanted Iraola before Amorim came in and I’d definitely revisit that idea. Entirely hypothetical but bringing him in and then snagging Semenyo would be tremendous.

Genuinely someone who favours attacking gameplay and less of this tactical boring nonsense.

We've always been best with fast aggressive forwards and attacking play and instead we've now got a team that seems to pass around the back too much and refuse to take risks.

I don't know what manager is like that, but there must be one out there.
The glorious return of Marcus Rashford in the summer then.

I mean the opportunity to turn around a sleeping giant is a huge challenge....
Just hear me out a bit: We all know Pep Guardiola looks fed-up at City because his legacy is somewhat tarnished with their oil money cheat, right?

May be, just may be...he can have a chance to clean his legacy and ego again right in Manchester?

Bring on the "Welcome to Manchester" sign!

I have a feeling Xabi Alonso may get fired by Madrid. He is not ultra experienced but think he is a very good manager. He has played in the PL so think he is already culturally adapted to some extent. One issue is that Slot may get fired as well and in that event, think he may prefer Liverpool.

Conte - I am not sure Conte has the mentality to deal with the BS that comes with managing a big English club.

Tuchel - think he has different ambitions

Ole / Carrick etc - see it as regressive. But probably ok as caretaker

Howe - I don't see a PL winning manager here.

Glasner - maybe

De Zerbi - maybe

Amorim, stop being so reactionary.

We lost yesterday because of drop off up top when our starting XI was awful.

We had more XG, more possession, more shots. Zirkzee isn't cut out for the league.

We need investment not a new manager.

2 years into a new footballing structure and people act like we should be challenging for the league now.
No one is saying we should be challenging for the league, but if we lose to 10 men Everton and cannot even score single goal against 10 mean team for 75 minutes, the manager deserve sacking.

What is the use of XG when we cannot even score a goal?

This is something the few who are saying "what will a new manager change" and "stop being over reactionary" seem to be missing. Putting aside his terrible record, the Everton match summed him up perfectly. Defensive, cowardly, unable to tactically affect games, shrinking when the pressure is on. He is not a United manager. If, and its a big if, swapping the manager doesn't change anything from a points perspective, we can at least find a manager to build with who actually represents the core values of the club.

All of those things are true. Another thing that irks me about him is how comfortable he is with failure.

Last season he seemed completely oblivious to the fact that losing every week was unacceptable. He came out before the Europa League final with some bizarre quotes suggesting it didn't matter whether we won or lost, despite it being the most important game of our season and shaping how this season would look.

He came out after the game yesterday highlighting how far away we are without realising it's directly his responsibility to change that. I really don't think it's helped having Ratcliffe back him so publicly and the fans sing his song in the stadium every time we lose, we have a manager who operates under no jeopardy. He can lose as many times as he likes without consequence, and it shows in his actions and comments.

We’d need over 500m for Enrique to work. We don’t have nowhere near close enough to the technicality he’d need from his midfielders
