He’s already shown he can’t cut it at a big club. West Ham is his level. He’s doing well there. Him at Spurs will be reminiscent of him at United.
Spurs and West Ham are of similar level and stature tbf.

Graham Potter would be a very good appointment for them imo. I'm a big fan of his. His Brighton team are a joy to watch aesthetically and are quite efficient offensively given how average some of those players are. Question is whether he can take the next step with better players.

Löw announcing his stepping down got these moves rolling and that happened in early March. Flick stirring up conflicts at Bayern to get the Germany job does not mean he would have done the same to make the move to Spurs. Neither does Nagelsmann demanding a move to Bayern mean he would have done the same for Spurs. Like does anyone seriously believe there is a world where Flick thinks he'd rather coach Spurs than Bayern? Or where Nagelsmann commits to Spurs rather than wait out Flick at Bayern?

The fact that were fast approaching July and they still appear nowhere close to signing their coach speaks for itself, there is no need for made up names.
Flick quitting Bayern for Spurs

now I've heard it all

Starting to think a lot of the links are made up at this stage as an easy target type thing like that window when we were linked with Carroll, Crouch and Ashley Barnes, case of enough rival fans finding it funny enough to just keep making up random stories for the clicks.

Potter seems the best choice from all the names being mentioned

Not sure how seriously he's being linked though

Levy was talking about attacking football 3 days ago - they can’t get Nuno surely
One of the most defensive dull tacticians in the game. Nuno did well, but his budget could have lent for some more expansive entertaining football. No way would they tolerate that kind of football at Tottenham.

Whoever get's the job is going to be in the embarassing position of being the 5th-6th choice. Hardly a ringing endorsement.

Potter plays nice football, but is that the sole remit for the job? He's achieved nothing, not like Brighton are hovering top half, they've been in constant relegation battles.

Maybe an international manager will become available after the Euros (cough Southgate cough).

But seriously, they are in a very bad place as a club.

Levy fecked his chances with his managerial pickings. Firing Poch to hire Mourinho was a disastrous move, firing Mourinho to hire Mason was even worse. Waiting 70 days to announce the bargain bin Mourinho is a joke. Dreadful process.

It's like you can not see greatness in front of your eyes.
And everyone could have predicted the outcome with Mourinho.

Isn't Mendes tied with all these managers that have been mentioned so far? Fonseca, Gattuso, Nuno. Add to that Mourinho. It looks like Levy settled with him based on these reports... Which kind of makes anything that he will say about style a moot point at the very least.

Without having followed this closely, it looks to me like they've put themselves in a position where they'll take whoever's available.

Nuno goes against Daniel Levy's wish for a manager who'll bring attractive, free flowing football to Spurs.

Should hire me. I'm more than willing to get sacked after 2 months for that severance package

they might end up with mason mount again at this rate ... not sure anybody with any reputation / ambition fancies levy flogging keane, bale leaving and then being handed perhaps 20% of the kane money and being told to get CL football or be sacked
You mean Ryan Mason? Mason Mount is a 22 year old Chelsea midfielder.

It's not rocket science. Just hire Potter. Seriously, it's not that complicated. He is a much better option than all of the managers Spurs are linked with.

Can't believe Levy is so incompetent.

Mourinho was rightly fired for being Mourinho, they shouldn't have hired him to begin with, Mason is only interim coach.

To be fair it hasn't been that long since we had the discussion about Spurs supposedly being level with Bayern and Juventus.
That the notion could even come up would have been all down to the fantastic job Pochettino did for them.

Why is nobody interested in Eddie Howe? Im thinking of Palace really.
Have a watch of the When Eagles Dare documentary on Amazon Prime for the answer to this one…it goes back to 2011, Eddie was at our training ground and agreed to take the job. Next day he rocked up at Burnley without so much as a word to Parish beforehand. Don’t think it went down well shall we say.

Hmmm, considering Low helped start this merry go round, I wonder what his suitability is for club football? Wouldn't be a bad punt if Spurs were that desperate.

Whats going on?
Just this lurch from one manager to another. Worst thing is, they're not even the same types of manager so not like there's an over arching plan on display.

I know some of it will just be crap media speculation but my god Levy is looking like an absolute tit right now.
