Fully expected us to had given up Watson and our stadium after I read the "Texans trade for Brandin Cooks" alert.

The Cooks trade leaves the Rams with almost 22 million in dead money next season alone.

Do you think the Rams have missed their window for a ring? They are not well positioned with cap space or draft picks.

The NFC West will be brutal with Arizona, who I’ve fully adopted as my 2nd team after the Hopkins trade, on the rise.

Yes, seems like it. They still have a good core to build around. But they won't get anywhere as long as they are paying Goff and guys like Gurley or Cooks. And they desperately need new offensive linemen.

Arizona has some great players and Murray on his rookie contract. The potential is there and if they protect Murray and add another target for him, they could become very good very soon. But I don't think they are there just yet.

The Rams will be paying Gurley $5m for 2020 while the Falcons pay him $6m to actually play for them.

The way they’ve mishandled their money is frankly hilarious.

I think it would’ve made a lot more sense to trade him away and at least do the rebuild properly.

They’re not going anywhere the next few years though so might as well pay the guy to keep the fans happy, I suppose. Dumb move imo, and the recent track record of RBs getting paid is not good.

He's more than just a back tbf.

He had an historic season last year and they had a 5-11 record. Paying him that sort of money simply won’t make them contenders anytime soon, regardless of whether you think he’s worth the amount on a stand-alone basis.

They were in a no-win situation: trade him away for less than he’s worth and basically admit openly they’re full on tanking with all the risks that comes with that. Or pay him now to lock in a price before any more inflation.

At the end of the day, he is just a RB and he is a high usage player too. We will have to see the guaranteed money but it's an incredibly risky contract.

He’s more than “just a RB” to be fair but it’s still a ridiculous contract even though I’m a big fan of his.

Apparently he was going to hold out until he got paid. And with Cam and Luke gone (plus new owner and coach) he’s about all they have left as a franchise player.

Letting him sit out and maybe getting into the QB lottery with 2 great prospects at least on the board next draft might’ve been the better decision, but they’re probably banking on winning for now with Teddy since Rhule is something of a turnaround specialist...even though their D will be Swiss cheese.

Against Brees and his weapons, Brady and those Tampa WRs and Ryan with his WRs... Good luck with that.

Why would they do that? One of either the #2 DT, CB, or Edge guys is bound to be there.

Unless they’re in love with Kinlaw, or the rumors of CJ Henderson being higher on boards than predicted are true I guess.

I've seen Henderson linked with them quite a lot on Twitter, yeah. Both could be gone by #16 or both could still be on the board.

I just find it hard to trust mock drafts which have 4 OTs going in the top 15. That almost never happens. Wirfs, Becton, Wills and Thomas, there doesn't seem to be a consensus about the order they're ranked in.

Trading up is rarely a good idea. Usually too much value lost in the process. They got lucky with Julio.

Would be good business for the Browns to get rid soon. The drama and 20m cap hit isn't worth 74 receptions.

He's still an elite top 5 WR in the league. Playing with a sports hernia last season and a QB who didn't improve on his rookie season behind a horrible OL... Also:

Can't read the article being EU-based, but hopefully they mean sporting events with fans attending and not "all sporting events".

Von Miller had tested positive for Covid-19. He’ll speak publicly tomorrow, according to Rapoport.

I think they’re too far along to have any chance of delaying the draft (there was some discussion of it not too long ago), so at least there’s this to look forward to:

*more wrong

#1 Joe Burrow - Bengals
#2 Chase Young - Redskins
#3 Tua Tagovailoa - Chargers
#4 Isaiah Simmons - Giants
#5 Tristan Wirfs - Dolphins
#6 Jeff Okudah - Lions
#7 Javon Kinlaw - Panthers
#8 Jedrick Wills - Cardinals
#9 Mekhi Becton - Bucs
#10 Andrew Thomas - Browns
#11 Jerry Jeudy - Jets
#12 CeeDee Lamb - Raiders
#13 Henry Ruggs - Niners
#14 CJ Henderson - Jags
#15 Kenneth Murray - Broncos
#16 Kristian Fulton - Falcons

That's what I think might happen in the first part of the first round - Lions and Jags both trade down.

Justin Jefferson is now heavily linked with the Eagles, which makes sense I guess. The Jags have so many picks in the first two round but I can see them investing in their D rather than getting a WR like they're sometimes projected to. They've got Chark, Conley, Westbrook and Cole on their roster for next year I think.

As a top #3 pick owner in Dynasty, I hope the Chiefs go with Swift or Taylor at #32.
