Seattle Seahawks are your NFL Champions. They finally got their "revenge" for "The Interception". They put out a dominant performance in the playoffs and the Super Bowl and were deserved Champions.

What a turnaround for Sam Darnold, from bust to SB winner. How confident will Maye and the Patriots feel about getting back to the Super Bowl and win the ring.

It was a weird season with lot of highly rated and top teams either under performing or being plain awful. How well will they bounce back? Can the teams who had unexpected success this season build on it?

How bad will the Niners injury crisis be this season? How Jets will be the Jets and how Browns will be the Browns?

Certainly a lot to look forward to this season

Chalk me down for cowboys. Still looking for a team to actually support, and cowboys havent won for ages, reminds me of united, so I'll give them a shot next season.

The long wait until the draft begins. Is there a good podcast for it? Preferably one that doesn't involve Kiper or Ross Tucker.

Followed Seahawks for 40 years. Not religiously or anything, but they've always been my team since I was a kid.

Could you add me to the Giants so @adexkola doesn't feel lonely?

If I can be added, I’m a 49ers fan (casual more than anything for the past 10+ years, but stepped up my interest levels in 2024 and 2025). My post history across the Caf has slowed down in recent times but I still read this thread weekly. Hope to post more here for the upcoming season.

Who's the Brentford of NFL? I'll support them.

And by support, I mean I'll occasionally see how they are doing

By occasionally, I mean very occasionally

I've been Raiders for about 35 years. Hope the next draft solves a lot of problems.

Added all of the above. Lot of teams moving on from "lone support". Nice!

Please do. We need to stay updated on the Niners injury crisis

That's tough to compare to US sports with no relegation.

Historically, maybe the Cardinals as they've often languished in the bottom of their respective conference or division, about as closest one can be to relegation in this context. They've won two titles pre-merger - 1925, 1947 - and the first was awarded to them when another team was found to have violated territory rules back when teams played imbalanced schedules and even played colleges. They've made it to one Super Bowl, in 2008, since the merger but lost. They've moved twice and have used multiple team names.

Cleveland would be another historic* club that hasn't had much success since the 60s but no Super Bowl appearance and has a rabid fanbase. LA Chargers are another older franchise that once played in a different league before the merger, with one Super Bowl loss and not much else. Ditto Atlanta but with two Super Bowl losses including the famous 28-3 choke.

Tennessee is another long-time club from another league pre-merger, formerly the Houston Oilers, with one Super Bowl loss after many years choking in the postseason in Houston. Detroit could also be placed in this boat, "last great in '58!" but have had some stacked teams and have gotten very close the last 2-3 seasons. Ditto Buffalo and Minnesota with similar track records but four Super Bowl losses each, ouch.

Current era, you could pick from past expansion teams without titles like Carolina, Houston, and Jacksonville, with only Carolina having done much in the playoffs - two Super Bowl losses.

*Technically, the current Browns arrived in 1999 but they'll argue because they "kept their history when Modell moved them to Baltimore in 1996" it's the same club with a three-year hiatus. The truth is in there per how relocation and agreement went down but not a single 1995 Browns player that rocked 1996 Ravens uni took a hiatus or remained in Cleveland until 1999. And three 1995 Browns players won a championship on the 2000 Ravens.

I've been Raiders for about 35 years. Hope the next draft solves a lot of problems.
Think we say that every year. Big question for me is whether we trade Crosby for multiple first rounders... if we can get that sort of price. We could desperately do with a large infusion of talent across the team, which will take Mark Davis spending some money in free agency as well as us drafting well.

I've heard and read the Raiders should trade Crosby while he still has top value to gain. Start that rebuild now, especially if they're gonna keep the first pick and draft their (hopeful) franchise QB. If they trade him before the draft they will have $30m extra in cap space but must do so before March 13 when it appears his 2027 salary vests to fully guaranteed (might still be able to get out of this). https://overthecap.com/player/maxx-crosby/7897

But I've also heard and read chatter that they should seriously consider trading the first pick for more picks (and/or players) to kick that rebuild into instant overdrive. Maybe then throw a contract at Willis, make an offer for someone like Pickens, etc.

Looks like the QB is locked in for first pick. Desperately need offensive line improvements to hopefully give Janetty a chance. Then defense.

I think you go long term with the new coach, not try to win with Willis and Pickens. I say that as a neutral, not a Broncos fan in which case I hope they aspire to be mid near-term in an increasingly crowded AFC West.

Speaking of the West, there were rumors of the Rams doing something big for a CB. If the 49ers could stay away from those transformers, that division would also stay rough.

Feels weird going into a new season with Tomlin no longer HC. Having said that, this is gonna be another null & void season for us again.

Hard to believe the Steelers only had 3 head coaches in 57 years before McCarthy. Sadly for them, McCarthy isn't likely to last that long given he's already 62 and hasn't really reached the lofty heights of his early Green Bay days in 15 years.

Pro Bowl QB Sanders ist the lowest graded QB of the season, according to PFF.

Like clockwork. Chiefs off-season is always a shit show.

The Seahawks are up for sale. So if some of you want to buy an NFL team, this is your chance.

Seems quite likely the Chiefs will go for a RB in free agency and there's a lot of noise about Etienne. Its likely the the Jets tag Hall so doubt we'd be interested given we refused to give up a third for him at the trade deadline.

I don't particularly Love the idea of spending the 9th pick on a RB so I'd be happy with that. Having said that, if we draft a RT at 9 I'll put my head through a window.
