NFL 2026 | Official Schedule Released

If they wanted a QB surely they have been better trying to get a trade for a 2027 first and doing it then, unless they are worried about Stafford this year
I personally hate the idea of planning too far ahead in the NFL. I think it's very unpredictable and so many things can change. Rams had 2 first round picks, they traded one to get a player because they are in a win now mode so it doesn't make sense to me to use the better pick on a guy who might not play for 2 years. Value wise as well it was a major push at 13

I'll be comparing Lawrence and Faulk the rest of their careers. Hopefully, Lawrence pans out because he's giving me Kavika Pittman vibes which was a wasted top pick for Dallas in 1996. That draft they had the last pick, #30, in the first round and traded down a few spots still hopeful Tony Brackens would be available. (In Morgan Freeman voiceover) - But he wasn't there at #37. Jacksonville snagged him at #34 and Jerry panicked into drafting Pittman a lot higher than anticipated.

The Cowboys have won before

My boy Keionte Scott, still up for grabs. Highly intelligent player in the Ed Reed mold.

Ah hell…well congrats on getting the discounted David Bailey KC. R Mason’s highlight reel is up there with the former’s and Bains’, he’s just not the biggest guy around. The Texans getting a real hog molly to plug into the middle of the DL is worrisome if you’re planning on scoring against them.

Now to see if Denver was actually serious about a Kyle Pitts trade.

Pick seems to be a very pleasant surprise because he doesn't fit the archetypal Stags edge. Will be nice to have an explosive speedster rather than a bruiser.

Some fans might be a bit pissy that we didn't grab a weapon but this is a defensive draft, we now have a decent RB and we got rid of Nagy and the useless WR coach Embree. I think we'll be far better on offense regardless.

Niners with 2 massive reaches in the WR and RB selected, plus a skinny edge that seemingly has no technique other than being quick. Baffles me the thought process that goes through the front office’s minds. The RB was ranked about 15th from all of them, and was taken 3rd. If they wanted a RB so much why not forget that second trade, which wasn’t good, draft Price and then still have the WR they wanted available later in the 2nd, 3rd or probably 4th. I’ll call it now the RB won’t play meaningful snaps and will be off the roster within 2yrs, plus he’s played 6yrs and had an ACL.

Hard to be positive after that draft, they had an extra 23hrs to think things through after trading down.

I hope they have a guard lined up as a trade, otherwise the revolving door OL is going to get Purdy and then Mac killed. Safety is a massive issue too and they watched a lot of good options go off the board.

Browns have had a solid draft so far. On paper, among the best. When did they become a competent organisation?

They'll do something typically Brownsy on day 3, I'm sure. Two kickers or something.

I though I was well-versed on injuries across the array of sports I follow, but “bone-plug” seems like a new one to add the career-ender list. McCoy was going right before or after Mansoor even after taking the year off before this, now he goes day 3.

Cowboys look very good this season, I think they are going to be solid contenders for the division if they can sort the Pickens situation out.

Insane how much of a difference one year makes. Drew Allar and Garrett Nussmeir were really highly rated last year but both fell away badly. Nussmeir not been picked in 5 rounds. Just realised that there are significant injury concerns with him.

How do you decide who is mopping the floor on the draft. I guess it's easy for Jets to do it when they are making 3 picks in the first round.

With a bit of luck even if he takes the next season off he could turn out to be a hell of a pick.

By the players they select, several of which play for the school I support + watching a lot of CFP games across the board. For instance, Bailey led the nation in sacks and the likes of Cooper and Ponds were coached exceptionally well last year; both were big drivers of Indiana's success. Ponds in particular is an absolute baller. Not that I expect the Jets to necessarily turn everything around next year, but those they've drafted so far could be a solid foundation for a 2-3 year reboot once Glenn gets shown the door.

It's all nonsense. Everyone who is grading the teams is just evaluating who was more versus less aligned with their own pre-draft ranking.

The Seahawks famously got an F after the 2012 draft when they took Bruce Irvin, Bobby Wagner, and Russell Wilson:

That's true. All the more reason to take mocks and "draft gurus" with a massive pinch of salt.

Exactly. It's all dependent on the assumption that the draft guru is more informed / a better evaluator than the teams themselves - despite the fact that the teams have more access, more advanced analytics, get to conduct confidential interviews, and have to consider player fit more holistically.

Drafts should be graded 2 or 3 years after the fact at minimum, not before these guys take a snap in the league

I don’t understand this mindset. There’s nothing else going on in the sport, so we’re just not supposed to talk about and critique the draft? Are you telling me if Vegas had drafted General Booty from Northwest Central Louisiana instead of Mendoza at #1 I couldn’t say they had a poor draft instead of a good one?

I think its less about fan perceptions of draft picks and more about treading carefully around mocks, prognositcators like Kiper and all those aspiring to be like him, and even the teams themselves, who routinely get it wrong each year when half their picks end up being duds.

Dallas only need to get their defence to be middle of the pack and theyre a playoff team. Offence is same as last year.

Still very concerned about the situation at linebacker though. We'll add some budget dudes in FA but I hope they trade for someone.

They acquired Dee Winters the other day, he'll be a good addition.

That still leaves our starting backers as 2 of Overshown, James and Winters though. I really like Overshown but remains to be seen if he's going to properly recover from injury and James isnt starting caliber yet in my opinion.

We should be going adding a green dot MLB pretty aggressively. As well as adding someone like Bobby Wagner.

And Diego Pavia is undrafted and unsigned
He's a manlet. We laughed at Kyler Murray's height but this guy is at least an inch shorter than him. And he's a bell end.

He was rated 15th best QB by ESPN and projected as an undrafted free agent by practically everyone.

Though Pavia doesn't meet prototypical measurable standards, he is a big playmaker and ultra competitive. His arm strength is adequate to good, but he is not a polished passer in terms of mechanics and delivery. Pavia's deep balls often float, and he probably would struggle to drive the ball into tight windows against NFL defenders. He is at his best in the short-to-intermediate passing game, excelling with RPO reads and accuracy. Pavia has some trouble finding passing lanes because of his stature, but he has great escapability and is very dangerous outside of the pocket. He is a dangerous option runner too, displaying true running back skills. Pavia can accelerate when on the run and will lower his shoulder to get the tough yards. Overall, his size is a concern and he would benefit from staying in shotgun at the next level. -- Scouts Inc.

Very happy with the Dolphins draft. A lot of it hinges on whether Malik can be a QB1 and step up though

Nah man you need to strap in for a rough year.
Last year was rough enough.

I like that the choices seem to be leaning long term into the running game, which indicates keeping Achane.

Hopefully next years draft has some better depth for QB, WR. Chris Bell could end up being a Round 1 level steal if he recovers well - that again may be a next season thing
