NFL 2026 | The LA Rams are All - in!!

Ravens have backed out of the Crosby trade now. Very strange
He failed his physical apparently. It's a little funny that part of the breakdown in Crosby's relationship with the Raiders was due to them benching him when he felt like he was healthy only for it to turn out he's now not healthy enough to be traded.

The Ravens have immediately been linked with Trey Hendrickson which makes sense for them, curious where the Raiders/Crosby go from here. Can't imagine the Raiders are going to get two first rounders from another team but I can't see them carrying on together either.

[Vincent Bonsignore] I've been told by two league sources that the @Raiders should have the necessary cap space to welcome Maxx back and honor all the free agent commitments they have made. If so, the team Crosby returns to is far different than the one he briefly left? Enough to want to stay?

Insert "best we can do is..." meme, for the Michael Carter II restructure.
Nah, Howie gonna Howie, take the comp picks, draft well and turn AJ Brown into something. They will probably just let the chips fall wherever this year and then be ready to go again in 2027.
Yeah another off season of restructuring deals, couple of FA moves and drafting well. Not that I mind much considering we have a good team.

Considering the steep price for AJ, not sure anyone will pay that much. Think we will have another year of drama on the sidelines

Priority has to be good TEs (love Goedert but it's time) and finding a Lane Johnson replacement

Could I be added for Jacksonville Jaguars please?
Done. Wait, you are the first!

Wow I just realised that we don't have all 32 teams up there

You've now signed Riq Woolen, 1 year for $15m. Honestly pretty good value, he's an excellent corner-back 95% of the time just with the very slight wrinkle that the other 5% of the time, he'll make the dumbest fecking plays, usually at the worst possible time. That sequence against the Rams was the low point. Still, I'd have been happy with keeping him on that contract.
Aah that's where I know him from

Crazy that such a high profile trade has fallen through like this

Wonder what next for Crosby though. He will be 29 when the new season starts and on a huge 3 year $100 million deal.

The more I think about it the more I'm settling on the idea thst the Ravens did feck over the Raiders and Crosby here.

They probably didn't anticipate all of the free agency losses and thought with offers on the table they would retain some, but after losing 8 players they need the picks and cap space to round out the squad so exploited the injury situation to bail

All well and good, but will make anyone dealing with Ravens more reluctant partners going forward. Raiders have been done over. Fortunately it seems we're just about able to absorb the cap space, but Mark Davis and Tom Brady might have to open their wallets to cover the cash

Also, was excited about the possibilities at 14 in the draft. Can only assume that we'll try to shop him nearer the draft now

I honestly have no idea what they're doing. I know they need pass rush, but they really are going overboard.

They've basically acquired Hendrickson and their own two 1sts for Crosby, not a bad deal to be honest.

They 100% backed out once they realized they could get Hendrickson for the same money without giving up the picks, poor behavior imo. And while Hendrickson is an amazing rusher, he's not anywhere near as good as Crosby as a run stopper.

Local Bucs radio guys were chatting that Hendrickson was interested in Tampa but they wouldn't commit to four years. They're apparently going for Cam Jordan on a one-year deal.

Seeing some theorising they got annoyed at the Raiders for taking Lindebaum and this is retaliation.

Kyler is flying up to Minnesota; sounds like he'll be the starter on a very cheap 1-year deal because Arizona is paying the rest.

Not sure if that would be to let JJM to marinate for a year or what their plans are.

Broncos finally bringing in a pass catching upgrade in Jaylen Waddle. Definitely a nice point of difference to the others in the group with his pace.

Very expensive trade for Broncos.

Howie Roseman is smiling.

Omar Cooper (Deebo-lite) or a DT like Banks might’ve fallen to 30…oh well. I guess this was the deal twatter was rumoring about.

Moving from late 3rd to the Fins’ 4th is slightly worse with the compensatory picks added in. We needed to add a TE or LB there.

Did you give up a first too? Compensation for that trade looks awful

Yeah; it's not as awful as it looks on first glance because we're picking so much later than usual and this is a terrible draft, but sentiment is definitely on the Fins getting the better end of the deal.

Feel bad for my boy Mims, who is similar physically to Waddle but not as good at being a WR.

Becoming a very crowded room...

I think KOC will like what he has in Kyler if he can stay healthy, there's plenty enough there to work with imo. But I think he's there on a 1-year deal? So do you "risk" alienating your former 1st round pick in that scenario, because if Kyler plays well and succeeds, are you willing to give him the contract he's after? If not, you're stuck with McCarthy yet again.

AJ Green writes a memoir of his friendship with Rondale Moore, who we recently lost. Need more men as role models like him.

Rondale

I called him Rondale Green. Most vets, when they mentor a younger player, it’s that classic big brother / little brother dynamic. But Rondale Moore was never my Little Bro. It was something deeper than that. He got drafted by Arizona in 2021, the same offseason I signed there as a free agent — and his first two years in the league ended up being my last two. So for us, our relationship, it was almost this “NFL circle of life” type thing. I’d always joke with him about how he’s “Rondale Green, my third and oldest kid.” And looking back, that’s probably one of those jokes where it’s funny because it’s based in a feeling that’s true. Man, I swear….. sometimes he really did feel like my son. I hope he knew I really did love him that way. And I guess I just wanted to share a few thoughts with y’all, now that he’s gone.
