Don‘t like the Bengals but I understand the trade. First round picks are often fails and they get a pro bowl player at a position of need that is also still young.
28 isn't necessarily young for a 350 lbs nose tackle. It's not even a guarantee Bengals will keep him after his contract ends.
It's an understandable move for a win-now team, but a top 10 pick is a very steep price, especially since Giants had no real leverage and most rumored them to get a second rounder max.
Oh, I am not calling it great. Just understandable. And CIN is in win-now mode. Great offense and only their defense holding them back. To me(!) it makes sense.
Like the Waddle trade it could be a win-win for both sides, but only if the ‘win-now’ team wins.
It would be understandable, if Lawrence didn’t just have the worst season of his career. To me, this is far too risky.

Read the FO of the Niners had 20 first round grades, which may or may not mean anything as their first round grades are often baffling.
That's well higher than generally reported at the start of the draft process, but a couple safeties and OTs have probably added to teams' totals.
Glazer claims he knows something interesting is happening, which has generally been rumored as ol' Jerry or KC jumping up to grab one of these defensive cornerstones. Don't want to see either team get stronger but it would at least make the draft more fun.

I'm worried about Sonny Styles. I want to believe the hype but from the clips I've seen online he doesn't blow me away at pick 5 and I don't trust guys who shoot up because of the combine. Hope the Giants prioritize Downs at #5 and O-line at #10.
