I’d be quite happy to pay £75m for Jackson…

On the proviso Garnacho goes the other way for £60-70m.

He’d be more useful to us, but we shouldn’t be shelling out a big fee. He’s not a top tier striker, but you don’t have to be to be vastly better than our subterranean tier jokers.
It's a good idea if we really wanted garnacho and Jackson wanted to leave. But seems we are moving towards Xavi Simons and yaldiz for left winger position . Rumours suggest that way.

So swapping garnacho for jackson not looking good. Anyways who knows.

This makes no sense. You don’t want to pay a big fee for Jackson, but you’d swap a player we value at £60m+ for him?

We need to sell players ASAP for reporting purposes and so we can fund other signings. I’d sooner sell Garnacho and buy a young striker so that we can get a DM

Because Garnacho isn’t worth £60m, that’s the point. It’d free up a lot of wiggle room PSR wise

Genuinely don't know why Jackson is on the radar of multiple big clubs, don't see it.
It’s genuinely bizarre, we’ve all watched him for the last two years and the consensus is he’s not good enough for a top team. Chelsea have come to the same conclusion.

There was some kind of collective amnesia event at the end of the season, and now he’s suddenly being linked to teams with the same aspirations as Chelsea. For £70m no less. Mental.

Jackson is a very good player, great movement of the ball, hold-up play and his ability on the ball is up there with the best. The day he improves his finishing a little bit he will become a top top striker because everything else in his game is very good.

But to acknowledge it you must watch him play first. Of course.

Yep well said, its not a surprise to people who watch him regularly that many clubs like him.

With Ornstein confirming Jackson likely to leave Chelsea, would United consider a swap with Garnacho if they missed out on Sesko?

Miss out on Sesko, Garnacho gets his prefered move, Liverpool gets Isak and they end up with Jackson. This has got to be the worst scenario possible...

Chelsea would want £50m plus Garnacho for him. I would take a straight swap but Chelsea have made their valuation clear and they usually get what they want for their players.

I'd hope not. At best this should be a loan deal with an option to buy but absolutely no obligation to buy. He's a mediocre player

I’d be happy to send some money plus Garnacho for him, but not £50m. £10-20m maybe. I’d much rather do that than sign Šeško for what Newcastle are offering. Plus, both sides could sex the figures up so that Garnacho is worth over £50m and Jackson over £70m

Last thing we need is a striker with shit finishing. No thanks to Jackson if it requires money in addition to Garnacho. Even the swap I'm only open to as he's adamant on chelsea and we seem to can't get our players to go to a team we want to sell them to.

I want him.

If we intend to play the quick touch attacking football we have seen over pre season then he would be perfect up top.

I rate him, this is the guy we need.

He’s not a van Nistelrooy or an Henry, but he might be a Saha, Giroud or Adebayor. He’s better than what we’ve got and would be a useful squad player if we can bring someone better in down the line.

I’m not saying he’s brilliant, but options are extremely limited right now and looking at the market, and factoring in the Garnacho situation, I think it might be the best (if somewhat underwhelming) deal we can do.

I’m 100% convinced that he’ll end up at whichever club misses out on Sesko now after today’s brief that he’s closer to an exit.

He has 1 in 20 for Senegal, and he scored 10 in 30 for a Chelsea team that got 64 goals last PL season. Sure he is probably a bit better that Højlund at the moment, but I don't think he is worth paying much for compared to what we have.

This is the biggest incentive for us to not miss out on Sesko.

If Jackson ends up at United I’d bet a good amount of money that he finishes the season with more goals than Sesko at Newcastle.

Kinda funny, because he’s, in my opinion, a better - or at least more established - player than Sesko

Chelsea do seem to have done their market analysis well. Seems like we could well be back for him.

Especially if you remove penalties.

Šeško had about 11+2 pens
Hojlund had 4+0 pens

So 70-80m for 7 extra goals for Šeško (no thanks)

The move to make is…Jackson loan as a counter to any lowball offer from Chelsea for Garnacho.

*Don’t quote me with those numbers please I could be off, just making a general point.

RvN would not have scored goals for United with the service that was provided last season.
