Nigel Farage - Reform leader

To be fair, people have different levels of political engagement. You may not have been aware of Farages bullshit claims of democratic rigging. You can see now that he's simply the boy that cried wolf right?
He most definitely is the boy who cried wolf. Voters have short memories of what Farage was saying to entice people to vote Leave during Brexit. I can't stand the guy and the thought of him even having a remote chance of being our PM is, quite frankly, terrifying.

Politicians like Farage, Trump and (let's throw his name into the ring) Hitler are by-products of the political environment of the time. It is the failure of other politicians that leads to these extremists taking power.

I don't think personal comments like this have a place here.
I'm with you. Here's the documentation if you want to take this attack to the ECHR.

Conveniently omitting the comment accusing me of making a personal comment about a poster. His response was pathetic. I was trying to participate in the thread with no agenda. Instead, "Mr Pigeon" can't stop himself.

I thought there were forum rules for Current Events?

"Argue the point, not the person:"
"Avoid Loaded Labels"

Is tht a blown up picture of Kim jong un shaking hands with trump in the background…. Hard to imagine fewer pictures of three people where KJU is the smallest cnut

Trump usually has no time for Farage, but will now he can hurt his new enemy, Starmer.

somehow getting on Trump's enemy list is the only likeable thing Starmer has ever done. if said trump was a cnut i think i'd give him a 5% increase in favorably. if he came out and called him a pedo i might even vote for him, im there, next time.

I did say similar before Boris got the gig but if he gets in at number 10 I’m getting the feck out of town. He’s an utter moron who will truly put this country in a spiral we’re not getting out of.

I’ll take my chances with another political moron elsewhere.

People dying in wars, fuel prices going up, people struggling with the cost of living, this cnut has his finger on the pulse.

I feel like that entire tweet from that dick head summarises the faux divisive culture war bullshit that is currently inhabiting the world.

Surely… surely people who support him see this and think “does this bollocks actually matter?”

Feck me could anything matter less in the world about a beaver on a 50?

I seriously have zero respect for anyone voting Reform, absolute braindead.

Banknotes issued by the Bank of England will soon feature images of wildlife rather than historical figures, following a public consultation on the design of the next set of currency.

On the current crop of notes are former Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill (£5), author Jane Austen (£10), painter J.M.W. Turner (£20), and mathematician and computer scientist Alan Turing (£50).

The Bank of England held a public consultation on banknote imagery last year. In a press release, it said that of the 44,000 responses received, about 60 percent wanted nature to feature, ahead of architecture and landmarks, historical figures, arts, culture and sport, innovation and noteworthy milestones.

I guess the voting public is woke.

To be fair Farage is probably annoyed that it'll remind people of things we used to have, like wild animals and green spaces, after his party get elected and pollute everything.

Nobody apart from electricians, builders and plumbers will be using cash in 20 years so whatever……
I’m still In favour of Eddie from Bottom’s idea of currency.unfortunately skullcrusher didn’t agree

Am I going crazy or have Lib Dems changed their approach in recent months? They suddenly seem like idiots.
Tbh I haven’t really checked.

Recently they wanted to make British tax exiles running away from Dubai to pay tax in the UK. But also their last election campaign was essentially a Ed Davey holiday compilation.

They seem very confused as a political project.

They do realise that banknotes and the figures on them are replaced periodically? Or is the suggestion we should keep Churchill on the banknote indefinitely and markedly increase the amount of counterfeiting that takes place? At times I wonder if there is a serious carbon monoxide leak at the Palace of Westminster.

Amazon, Temu and the like are almost legalising counterfeit currency. I've linked below just how cheap you can buy fake notes legally for from Amazon. Over Christmas pubs and shops in my town (and a fair few dealers) got inundated with these 'Prop notes'

It's fake currency being sold as props for film sets. They have got the holograms on them but that part is stuck on and if you remove it is clearly says 'Prop note' or similar on them as there are loads of different companies producing and selling them.

Luckily we only got caught with two over the entire period. Sadly they were passed over during very busy times and often when rounds of drinks or food totalled £60 or more and the notes were put in between real ones.

They are very obvious fakes as they don't feel right and have a plastic feel to them. They don't have the brail dots in the top corner and they are also slightly duller in colour. They also don't have the UV counterfeit measures on them either, but they are adequate enough to fool over 30 pubs and shops in the town that I know of and some of them on multiple occasions.

That became another instance of someone centre or left suggesting something, the idea being pilloried, then catching on among some right wing commentators and suddenly becoming popular. Saw a bunch of Tel and DM columnists calling for it, obviously without crediting Davey, who'd they branded an idiot the previous week.

He's among the worst things to happen to the UK in the modern era as I see it.

Yet Churchill is the one people are focusing on. I wonder why.

There's nothing more woke than getting rid of the famously persecuted gay man and one of only three women who've ever featured on a UK bank note.

Oh, actually it turns out they're not bothered about them, just Churchill.

If the wokies want an animal that represents Britain they could go with something like this.

Churchill was included on the £5 note when the polimer version was introduce less than 10 years ago and is due for replacement. Different famous British figures are included for each run then changed for a new one next run. The only constant is the reigning monarch on the front.

Not that farage would know. When is the last time he handled cash outside of a brown envelope.

Banknotes since decimalisation.

I like to believe that they voted for the badger etc to annoy farage and his types. The horror everytime they get bank notes. That’s good enough for me
