The problem is there are other players I want in the side who get me excited.Unless you want to put Phil Jagielka in goal yes
Spent about three rounds cocking up all my plans just to fit him in.

Don't we all? Basically, you have a 1 in 13 chance injury hits Taffarel, just under 8%.The problem is there are other players I want in the side who get me excited.
This is outrageous. Taffarel was never injured and I should get better odds in his favour I feel.Don't we all? Basically, you have a 1 in 13 chance injury hits Taffarel, just under 8%.
But then later you may have to skip an outfield reinforcement or the odds of disaster start accummulating in each round.
If I learned anything here it's that I always pick him far too early. 13th round despite their being quite a few still without a LB.Juan Pablo Sorin
But this is a world were you can pick Phil Jones and he may actually play a few games in a row. This is outrageous. Taffarel was never injured and I should get better odds in his favour I feel.
Maybe we can have a bigger bench? It's the only solutionBut this is a world were you can pick Phil Jones and he may actually play a few games in a row.
Well, he probably wouldn't but for other reasons.
the whole point of injuries is that utility players get some value in drafts as they were a forgotten species before even though they are absolutely crucial in real life. 3 players for 8 positions is just about right.Maybe we can have a bigger bench? It's the only solution
Draft suicide but at least the spectacular one! Nostalgia draft, picking only favorite players.....no fecking chance Denilson will miss out!
Yeah, that's good old Denilson. There's another one, I think in 1998, where they make him run DOWN the flank all the way down to the Brazilian box. I thought Roberto Carlos was going to tackle him at one point.Draft suicide but at least the spectacular one! This action is actually the opposite of Denilson, high IQ play which you cant say often for him.Yeah, that's good old Denilson. It's the same really. He always got thrown in as a fun way to go about inconsequential time-wasting. I was in Brazil at the time, we were all pissing ourselves. I'm pretty sure so was Ronaldo on the sidelines. This action is actually the opposite of Denilson, high IQ play which you cant say often for him.
true though from my knowledge that was happening mostly post 98It's the same really. He always got thrown in as a fun way to go about inconsequential time-wasting. I was in Brazil at the time, we were all pissing ourselves. I'm pretty sure so was Ronaldo on the sidelines.
The other was supposed to be the same, order was to hog the ball and play the game out... then he starts running back and everyone was going "no, no, no, wait, not THAT way"
Its 9 positions as first two cant be injured. Can we pick 16 instead? Reasons:
1. 4 players as backup for 11 positions can leave you short somewhere if your luck isn't good.
2. Those at the bottom of the draft order will be at the bottom of the order one round more so it favours those at the top of the order.
You simply can't make rules up as you go along, let alone in R14.Can we pick 16 instead? Reasons:

Yes yes yes let's have another pick pleaseCan we pick 16 instead? Reasons:

I don't think the quality of the later picks picks actually have any real difference in quality. It is mostly about prioritising players for particular positions. Also I want to keep it to 4 subs because that way the importance of versatile players increases. They are generally ignored in drafts so it's a way to make them important. Can we pick 16 instead? We had an unrestricted all-time draft with 13 rounds. Fifteen for this period, adding an injury on 1/13 is spot on.I don't think the quality of the later picks picks actually have any real difference in quality. That said 16 in the future for first drafting could be an option.
Personally I'd advocated for scrapping the GK being injured so naturally I still stand by it as it gives one bigger advantage. But in terms of number of picks is way too late to implement a change. For example I picked Schneider, Ziege with that in mind so whoever gets injured I can switch formation, otherwise I'd pick other options on my shortlist. We had an unrestricted all-time draft with 13 rounds. It's not about quality but resource management. Leaving injuries aside, having more picks also allows you to plan and make room for possible style switches. I sure have skipped certain players purely because they were luxury future-planning options.
Getting the number of rounds "right" is quite relevant to making a good/challenging draft and I reckon you got this one spot on. Sixteen would have been boring really, even if TR feels like a penniless kid in a candy shop.
There you go. The constraint makes you think creatively about how to deal with it.For example I picked Schneider, Ziege with that in mind so whoever gets injured I can switch formation, otherwise I'd pick other options on my shortlist.
only for this id give you the extra player you want!Mehmet Scholl
